IMHO, Bitcoin going into the system as a ‘victory’ for the system is just the Trojan horse playing out.
Folks that need greater privacy have ramps between privacy coins like monero, and bitcoin, and there are newer developments (such as FROST) that provide greater privacy as well. The only way that fiat can be destroyed is by it infecting the system and making it eat itself from inside out.

As Bitcoin becomes more and more a part of the system it was designed to overthrow—because people would rather see 'money go up' than stick to its original cypherpunk manifesto and bake in privacy at a protocol level (as Snowden has been cautioning the devs to do for years).
Similar to election cycle gas price manipulation, I am confident that this ATH bull run was not an accident.
I am reminded of the parade scene from Batman, where the Joker attempts to lure the citizens of Gotham by throwing money at them in a sinister plot, just before he gasses everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I am a Bitcoiner. It has proven to be an historically well performing commodity/asset, and has certainly been a benefit (mostly on an individual level) in countries with high inflation or unstable currencies.
However, I have the awareness to see what is happening—and I am not alone in this sentiment—which is why I also believe in and USE #Monero—a true privacy-focused digital CURRENCY.

I'm class of '22, so I really took the orange pill in the middle of a shitty bear market. My first big conference was Pacific Bitcoin '22 while FTX was imploding.
The main feeling I have right now is satisfaction. And confidence. I feel glad that I trusted myself, did the work, built my conviction up, and stuck to my guns through highs and lows.
My ex-girlfriend thought I went crazy, my parents wrote Bitcoin off as a scam, my friends would hear me out but didn't take any action.
If it weren't for the plebs, I might've even bailed out before the real bull market.

3. Non-Custodial Layer 2 is complex, the average person won't do it or pay for it
4. Custodial Layer 2 is the new Banking
5. Fiat Banks and insurance companies funded Blockstream.
6. Bitcoin Core devs also worked for Blockstream, which sells layer 2 solutions. That's a conflict of interest, they are solving the problem they create with the "small block" routine.
7. By having Maxis do the shitcoin routine on good alternatives, it forces the unrealistic solution of self-host Layer-2 hot wallets with a 1k minimum to play... or use bank custodial accounts.
8. Keeping the blocks small does NOT decentralize it, as lightning routes only work with large players acting as facilitators. And you can't even receive lightning unless you've already got funded channels. This is literally inequality: You need money to get money.
Therefore,
Nobody uses Bitcoin in the Real World. And Banks win.

This means that from Nostr, each ActivityPub server can be treated separately, for indexing and moderation purposes.

E tinha uma grávida safada que, ao invés de entregar os frascos, ficava de papinho atrasando o cara, falando para ele entrar para pegar o frasco.
A política da empresa era em hipótese alguma entrar na casa ou no estabelecimento. Sempre entregar e recolher na porta ou na expedição.
E o cara seguia a regra e nunca deu mole para a capivara.
E não é que a capivara ficou ressentida e o acusou de entrar e tocar nos peitos dela?
A mulher ligou na empresa reclamando e o cara foi mandado embora na hora.
A sorte dele é que na rua da capivara tem um mercado com câmeras que pegavam a casa da capivara.
O cara já estava em via de ser preso, mas arrumou um advogado que desembaraçou com o dono do mercado as imagens que mostrava que no dia que ela o acusou e em nenhum outro dia ele havia entrado na casa.
As imagens mostravam ela ainda passando a mão no braço dele, pegando a mão dele e puxando ele para dentro kkkk.
O cara se livrou do BO e deu nada para a capivara.
Ela disse que fez aquilo porque uma vizinha via a safadeza dela e ficou envergonhada.
O cara quase teve o casamento destruído e quase foi preso.
Pelo menos ele conseguiu uma dispensa sem justa causa e uma indenização da empresa pela dispensa vexatória.
A empresa pagou pelo erro da capivara 😂

First, Trump doesn’t care about bitcoin or crypto that much. The argument always seems to be some big conspiracy to make a CBDC and use the bitcoin rocket to expand their reach and dominate all the KYC paper bitcoin and trap everyone in it, etc etc.
But it’s only us who put bitcoin at the center of our “plans.” They are “playing with it” because it’s this tiny side project that has been making money. Thats it. Trump is interested because there are voters he can appeal to. There is SO much honesty in the “and whatever else you are playing with” comment. He doesn’t care about any of this, and neither do the overwhelming majority of them.
It’s a bunch of opportunists that see growing numbers and so they buy an exchange, they try to dominate this and that market, etc. it’s nothing new.
Look at the stupid shitcoins they keep issuing. You think these are brilliantly laid plans? They could barely sell anything of their latest scam.
And of course when considering the exploiters of the old system, they will have more capital to dominate the new, but this doesn’t change in any way the fundamental incentive shift that occurs within the Bitcoin model.
Fiat has a corruption loophole, Bitcoin plugs that loophole.
Quit declaring failure before things even get off the ground. And quit framing Bitcoin’s importance through OUR lens instead of theirs. They don’t have that.
This is where “stay humble” shows up in practice, imo. We aren’t the most important thing in their world. We are winning and just need to put our head down and build solutions to TODAY’s problems, not throw our hands up in surrender or put all our concern in some elaborate, long term “probably going to happen” master plan.

Story time.
I was a late comer to bitcoin.
In 2019 I started a new job at a very stressful trading desk (fortune 500 brokerage).
In any event, my team leader was a bit of a rogue. I knew him from a previous job where he was my subordinate and I new he was a big goldbug. Interestingly enough, He had graduated to bitcoin. Id never heard of or ever bought any btc or any altcoins.
Over the course of the year, he convinced me to buy a decent chunk. My cost basis was near 59. I spent the next year listening to 1000s of hours of BTC podcasts, read Price if Tomorrow and thankfully learned about Saylor.
I rode losses down to 15,500.
—Heres the interesting part. I became so sure, so unbelievably certain that id be okay, that I sold ALL MY BITCOIN two days before the new year to harvest the tax loss.
I then proceeded to rebuy every dollar worth back over the following month in January on the way back up. I Lowered my cost basis to ~17k and religiously started buying dips from time to time.
—-I have never traded BTC before or after this event.
I considered it and I still consider Bitcoin to be the only “asymmetrical bet” Ive ever encountered.

So my review of the four Islands I visited to research nom nom / expat life in the Caribbean.
I had discounted St. Marteen and St Lucia before I went, purely because they have no specific advantages either Bitcoin or Tax related. My visit confirmed I don’t wish to live in either place.
St. Kitts & Nevis was a serious contender due to its tax laws and adoption of Bitcoin (albeit BCH).
After visiting, I am not totally discounting it, but it is not a front runner as you have to pay $300K for its citizenship by investment scheme. This is either in the form of a lump sum, or by purchasing an approved property. The property purchase route is not as it seems, you have very little choice and the property devalues by at least $300K after you’ve held it the minimum of 5 years (required by the investment scheme). So either way the fee is $300K, which you loose.
For this reason I have discounted St. Kitts, despite seeing some Bitcoin adoption.
So to Barbados.
Everything else aside, I liked this place, I would consider living here for its own merits. It has a lot of beauty and the poverty, of which there is much, is somehow more relaxed and less threatening.
For example, we were on a Beach having a few drinks when a very laid back man passed by hawking some Aloe vera leaves he had just cut down from a tree. He was offering them to the tourists to help with any sunburn.
However unlike touts I had observed on other Islands, he was very relaxed and didn’t hassle you at all. And if you didn’t want to buy the leaves, he gave them to you anyway if he thought you needed them. This made the tourists offer him money in gratitude, which is a much more intelligent way to earn a subsistence living. He was also very friendly with the restaurant staff who clearly helped him with the odd meal or even money sometimes.
The tax situation in Barbados is pretty good, no CGT, but there is income tax of around 28%. I don’t object to tax, I simply object to the misappropriation of tax income for vanity or woke projects.
I am now investigating the logistics of this with a non Bitcoin friend who is also looking to go non dom.

He was born in 1944 he played international rugby for Wales, he is one of the top 20 all time Welsh try scorers (210 tries in 435 professional games), challenge cup winner, he is of Welsh mining heritage and was black. I cannot imagine how tough it must have been for him growing up.
Anyway, 2003 or so and our University team (coached by Frank) were training one night and Frank was getting annoyed that the intensity wasn’t there.
He stopped the session, picked me out, gave me a ball and asked me to run at him as hard as I could.
I was 21 he was 58, I was probably 50lb heavier than he was and 2 inches taller than him.
I was concerned about bowling him over onto some equipment nearby, I thought he was crazy (he was a bit crazy).
But I have never been hit so hard before or after, in my entire life and over the years I played with a lot of people my own age who went on to dominate the sport at the top level.
I wasn’t just stopped, I was flat on my back with Frank on top of me. It was like being shot with a cannon. Frank was immediately worried he had given me brain damage or something and pulled me up patting me down checking I was OK. But his point stays with me forever… don’t waste your time.
I look back and I know some people are just not like the rest of us. I think Mike Tyson has this in him too, or certain did once upon a time.
But it’s more than possible for some 58 year old man to squash bigger men in their prime.

Every coordinator is an independent server hosting their own orders, and if you want to know the orders hosted by coordinator X you need to do a call to its API (actually 2). There are 4 active coordinators today, but nothing stops that number to be 100. You can see the API method doesn't scale up if you want to see the global orders book.
With nostr, every coordinator runs its own relay on a way that continuously synchronizes with the rest, so all relays hosts all active orders. On this sceneraio a client only requires to connect to 2-3 random coordinator relays to have access to the entire global book.

However, if you want to be a real 💯 Man 💪🏼, the way that God intended you to become... you need to be able to sit comfortably with your feminine aspect (emotions: it's a scary word for many men). The strongest male role models that I have had in my life were incredibly high T, but could also cry at appropriate times, happy or sad, and were masters at communication and empathy.
Every human has this psychological/emotional dichotomy of masculine and feminine "energies", the world is not black and white, and if you are not in touch with both aspects and how they are balanced within you, then you are still only half an adult.
Suppression of emotions does not work forever, not without severe negative consequences on you and the ones close to you.
Go build something, create value to others, give from what you are given, MAKE the world a better place and when you get knocked down on your arse so hard that you don't see the way back up, find someone to talk to, preferably a friend or family member, but if they aren't available... maybe a priest/religious leader, failing that... a therapist might work for you? But do be careful... there are wolves in the forest (i.e. therapists just looking for a pay cheque)

If there is something I want people to take to heart. If I had to lose all my bitcoin in a boating accident. For real. Or had it taken in a $5 wrench attack. Or lost my private key while moving house. Let's say I had zero sats to my name.
I would still champion bitcoin as a freedom technology because my love for and interest in bitcoin did not start with ngu. Ngu was immediately evident to me but was not what sold it to me.
I saw a treasure more valuable than living in comfort and luxury. I saw a weapon that lifted the downtrodden and oppressed. A new hope for liberation from tyranny invisible yet tangible.
Why continue to preach/support bitcoin if uninvested?
Because it is noble to be happy for the victory and wealth of all disadvantaged people through disposition of restrictions on private property.
PS: They will never get my bitcoin and I will never sell it.

Been playing around with FB ads because unfortunately I cannot shitpost on here and sell products reliably.
Been doing $5 a day just to make it real. Haven’t seen much results but it is still a learning process, my product is quite ready for prime time either so it is understandable.
But when I put that advertising budget into sats, that is 6100 sats per day off into the wind.
I probably won’t cancel the ad, I gotta figure out traditional ads at some point, but consider just zapping people 6,100 sats per day here and seeing if it works any better.
I already zap most posts I enjoy and my default zap is 69 satoshis.

There were thousands of downloads with people paying $0. I’d get an occasional $1, 3 and on a rare occasion a $10.

In 2019 I was a heavy reddit user. When BTC started to move I realized no one there had any signal. That led me to look and I stumbled on Bitcoin twitter. The podcasts, interactions, and books there led me to question everything and I left reddit altogether.
I believe nostr has replace that signal. The conversations we have here will change people's lives.
There's a reason why $MSTR has chosen #Bitcoin as its only reserve asset. And #ElSalvador has only adopted #Bitcoin as legal tender. It's the same reason why you should only buy and HODL #Bitcoin.

If you are a bored developer maybe you will be interested in implementing simple NIP-23 Nostr sources support on some open-source RSS reader apps out there for something like $800 each.
The goal is to make it work, record some screencasts and open PRs. If they will merge or not that's their decision and we don't care.
The feature is just to support pasting npub, nip05 or nprofile URIs, use relay hints if available or fetch write relays from kind:10002, then fetch new kind:30023 articles from these relays periodically just like the app already fetches RSS feeds from URLs. No need to bother with comments, likes, anything for now.

About 2 years ago I was living in my car for fun with some bitcoin in my head. But my dumbass started leverage trading (gambling) again and I lost pretty much everything.
So I didn't waste a single second and started to build somethings to get back on my feets. I took the first place I could immediately start to work in. There was no time to waste. It was a divine coincidentally that this place was a very old tannery.
250 sqft, no lock on my door, no private bathroom, no shower, no kitchen.
It was dumb. I know it was. But I didn't care. I didn't care until it had been 1 year. The last 6 month have been rough and now I have to make the decision and move. Move to build back better. In a place with higher vibes and I feel safe and comfortable.

It's an easy read and very pragmatic. I see myself reading it multiple times in the future.

Still learning about this world that felt so foreign - like I am about to have open contact with an alien.
What I experienced here blew me away in a most positive sense! Being a dinosour, using well known social medias and constantly being invisible, censored, shadowbanned I feel like I found my place.
I discovered when I simply share my ideas, visions, and perceptions on Nostr, I am practically adding to the collective voice and values of the community. Every post each of us make reflects a unique perspective, and contary to old paradigm social media, here not only you can speak freely and be who you are, but people tip you if they resonate with what you shared! This is mind-blowing to me! I still cannot believe you can practically be awarded for just being you.
The content and entire experience is not determined by algorith, it's driven and promoted by users. We all get to decide what ideas, visions and thoughts we want to promote. Trans activists in British Columbia, Canada, are demanding that a law which prevents dangerous convicted criminals from changing their legal names be repealed immediately.
Social justice legal group West Coast LEAF issued a press release, signed by numerous trans activist groups and organizations, demanding the change on November 7. In their letter, the groups claim that the province’s legislation “harms those most in need of legal name changes, including transgender people, Indigenous people, and survivors of gender-based violence.”
The legislation at issue is the province’s Name Act, which was amended earlier this year in response to public outcry over child-killer Allan Schoenborn being permitted to change his legal name, followed by a failed campaign to keep his new name hidden from the public.
Schoenborn murdered his three children, aged five, eight, and 10, in 2008. While he was found guilty of first-degree, pre-meditated murder, a judge ruled he was not criminally responsible due to mental illness. Schoenborn is currently eligible for 28-day leaves from the forensics hospital where he is serving his sentence, and may eventually be released into transitional housing in the community. Schoenborn does not identify as transgender.
Adrienne Smith, a female lawyer who uses they/them pronouns, also signed on to West Coast LEAF’s demands to reverse changes to the Name Act. In a statement included in their press release, Smith wrote that, for trans-identified persons, “[o]ur chosen names are human rights… This change [to the Name Act] hurts people standing farthest from justice, because it essentially sentences trans people to permanent deadnaming. That is unlawful, and it is wrong. Everyone should be entitled to the basic dignity of a name.”

There used to be 50,000 pay toilets in cities across America until a group of college students in 1970 decided it wasn't fair to have to pay for a natural bodily function and successfully lobbied to get them banned.
Now you can't find public toilets in many US cities and if you want to use a restroom you'll need to use one inside a business that, you guessed it, will require you to be a paying customer.
