Yeah, not sure what's so hard to understand that at this point in time Bitcoin doesn't provide all functionalities the market demands and therefore other cryptocurrencies focus on those, privacy being one of them.
From a pure monetary base point of view, of course Bitcoin maximalism is THE way to go! But, instead of fighting crypto projects that provide these market demands, it would be more wise to reach out and learn how to bring these functionalities to Bitcoin.
This is precisely why I look forward to roll-ups, zk-proofs, smart contract functionality on Bitcoin. And where does the inspiration for those come from? Ethereum, Monero etc. There's a way for everything to come 'home' to Bitcoin, to create a Bitcoin economy. But stubbornly fighting and insulting everything that isn't called Bitcoin will only delay that future.

So, since Olas is now available, the app with the Instagram look, I tested around a bit and wanted to share my not-so-techie experience at this point. I'm especially interested to see the interplay between different clients: Olas, Amethyst and Primal.
Olas has the option of two post types, 'generic' and 'high-quality'. As far as I understand these are different note formats with the latter being optimized for media.
Also Amethyst has the option of posting 'high-quality' media notes under the media tab. The media tab looks quite slick to be honest. These media notes then also appear in Amethyst's media gallery.
Primal, at the time of posting this, doesn't have the option to post or display these new media notes.
Now, if on Olas I post a 'generic post' it appears on Olas (naturally) and on Amethyst and Primal in the normal notes feed.
If I post a 'high-quality' post on Olas it appears on Olas (naturally) and in the media tab as well as your gallery on Amethyst. Not on Primal at this point.
If you post a note under the media tab on Amethyst, it's of the 'high-quality' type and also appears on Olas. Normal note posts on Amethyst or Primal don't appear on Olas.

Partly as an experiment, for a whole week I didn't do my routine Wim Hof breathing, stretching and balancing exercises in the morning. Not even a cold shower. And the downgrade in life experience is astonishing!!
Without daily physical and spiritual care exercises, my monkey mind takes more & more center stage by the day. I have a harder time prioritizing and focusing on the tasks at hand, I'm less decisive, less motivated, more easily stressed, and not any more in my enjoyable state of just beingness. It's similar when I stopped meditating for longer periods of time.
With Wim Hof there's the added physical component: I feel refreshed and strong after the exercises, healthy, energetic, cheerful, less vulnerable to environmental conditions. And it's not just my experience. There's scientific proof now!
It's in our hands to give ourselves that daily shift of life perspective. Consciously, rewriting old conditioning patterns. So powerful!
Everybody finds their ways. For me, I'm certain that without the Wim Hof method, I wouldn't already live out here off the grid between mountains and the sea, connected with nature, in freedom living into the magic of the day.

Absolutely, I still find it genius hardware which I haven't seen equally well implemented in newer Android devices. Apple's magic keyboard is cool. But Apple is Apple.
You got the option to install LineageOS equivalent to Android 13. But they say the camera isn't working then. Android 8 still works for my use case.
I'm flirting with the Daylight computer. But there's no rush.

The extra power of the Wim Hof Method lies in its scientific backing.

We are facing difficult weather conditions in the southern Peloponnese this year. Mostly because it hasn't rained properly since March. Now the first winter storms already started, and the wind is ripping through a very dry landscape and vegetation.
Since we are living off grid we feel the environmental changes immediately. One of our natural springs closeby we rely on for water supply has already run dry for this year, making things a little tough. It makes us ponder and look for alternatives.
There are some promising developments in the area of generating water from humidity in the air. But they are still costly for individual use and require quite some energy input.
So, I was surprised to find this little device here - 'Quenchsea'. It can turn sea water to fresh water through reverse osmosis, just by your very own manpower and is actually affordable. It's nothing more than an emergency device, but cool nonetheless. Makes me dream of some extended wild cave camping adventure 😉🌊

The problem with this and such quotes is that people don't know what 'goodness' and 'the right thing' to do is. That's why the quote speaks to everyone and noone at the same time.
Everybody wants to be 'good' and thinks they are. Our mind is amazing at making stuff up and deceiving ouselves if we haven't found out and mastered how it really works. Through breathwork, meditation, yoga ... you name it.
So, these quotes are powerful only once we have done the inner work to find out where the 'light', 'truth', 'love', 'goodness' really is.
Marcus Aurelius very likely did that inner work with the means available during his time, with famous stoic teachers. This then is real freedom. Freedom from the inside that will keep you on track. You will feel it and know it deep inside. No morality necessary anymore.
Before that 'good' is just a word that everybody understands differently.
