By requiring an invitation code, the platform inherently controls who can join, which allows it to track and manage its growth—a practice more aligned with centralized marketing strategies. This approach might discourage some potential users, as it did for me last year when I decided not to pursue joining.
On the other hand, NOSTR embodies the principles of true decentralization. Despite its slower adoption and performance challenges, it operates without gatekeeping mechanisms, staying true to the ethos of an open and decentralized social media network. For me, this makes NOSTR a more authentic example of decentralized technology.

It’s contradictory to talk about freedom while acting against it. Primal Wallet doesn’t allow Iranian users to select Iran. This can discourage new Iranian users from joining Nostr with @npub12vk…pugg if they want to use the primary wallet. Although there are alternative wallets for setup, it doesn't address the main problem.

we used to work with graph paper, sketching the initial design on it, and then using watercolors and brushes to fill it in point by paint. However, today we use computers to simplify the process. This not only saved paper and time but also prevents mistakes in coloring. On the computer, colors can be easily changed without leaving any trace of previous errors. #Pegahrug
