I think Bitcoin will be the world currency but may not be the universal currency. You need forks of bitcoin or some other commodity to go interplanetary or at the very least to go interstellar. It's kind of like how tobacco was a good currency in colonial Virginia, as it was tied to the local resources and proof of work in that area.

So like, we can provide for them and try to lead the way with things that we influence and are good stewards of. That is, we can be entrepreneurs and seek cooperation. But if they choose slavery, at some point you gotta just let that person live their screwy life in the way that they choose to be sovereign, where the choices they made went haywire as did their understanding of reality. Marriage has got to be one of those covenants that holds you both accountable in ways you might not even realize in absence of the thing, and might not even realize with the thing in place until later, and still it provides a stable foundation for both of you, for your future family, and for the benefits you can bring to the world. I've noticed a version of this in the kind of contractual relationship that my girlfriend and I have. There's tremendous strength in the kind of accountability it gives us.
