fell back asleep, went back into the same dream. i hiked up a mountain to where a tiny traditional cheese making store was. Tucker Carlson was working the counter. I showed him research, asking him if he knew the origin of a particular kind of cheese. So he got on the phone to ask influential people. i watched this weekend as people who i have veiwed as competent, get sucked into a long, disingenuous argument about bluesky, and all it took to keep them engaged was for one person to use Saul Alinsky style denials followed by a passive agressive emoji, after each of their reasonably laid out arguments.
All the disingenous emoji boy needed to get away with it was some level of percieved 'bitcoin infloooencer', and all of them seemed completely powerless to tell the guy directly, that he was full of crap.
very interesting spectacle and learning experience.

Back when the BlueSky bluehairs were still obediently on the Twitter teat, and nostr didnt exist, i was all into the Fediverse, Secure Scuttlebutt, and self hosting. I looked at bluesky then, and came to the conclusion that the claims of decentralization were dubious at best, intentionally deceptive at worst. And dismissed it.
