it's a bit like money in that trusted third parties can abuse you, and there is whole systems of funnels and conspiracy to herd people into trust vulnerability specifically to abuse them, whether it's spooks or advertisers
the modern statutes of governments are actually fraud anyway (they are statutes, and you have to be an agent of the issuer of statutes to be bound by them) it wasn't even that long ago that you didn't need a passport or ID, they just slowly normalised that with driver's licenses and student IDs and such like, corporate fascist fraud that by accepting these registrations you are then effectively an unpaid agent of the state, which is not what they openly say to you but that's what they impute by the way they drag you into courts over offenses against their rules, when it used to be you would only be in a court in a case where some other person was claiming you harmed them
they make their rules so byzantine it's almost impossible to really fight back and by their rules you admit to being subject to their laws and then they have you
this is why i stay the fuck away from large populations full of people who have been duped by this scam and even help the racket continue with their stupidity and snitching

I am left-handed when it comes to writing and eating, but the opposite in sports, so I’m a bit ambidextrous. I’ve never had good penmanship and I stopped writing in cursive at a really young age.
I would like to try again, so I’m going to switch hands and teach myself to write in cursive, eventually switching to a fountain pen. Lefties can’t use a fountain pen. It’s all pushing when it needs to be pulling.

So as part of the Linux Foundation's nonprofit Open Source Security Foundation, and in partnership with NVIDIA and HiddenLayer, Google's Open Source Security Team on Friday announced the first stable model-signing library (hosted at PyPI.org), with digital signatures letting users verify that the model used by their application "is exactly the model that was created by the developers," according to a post on Google's security blog.
[S]ince models are an uninspectable collection of weights (sometimes also with arbitrary code), an attacker can tamper with them and achieve significant impact to those using the models. Users, developers, and practitioners need to examine an important question during their risk assessment process: "can I trust this model?"
Since its launch, Google's Secure AI Framework (SAIF) has created guidance and technical solutions for creating AI applications that users can trust. A first step in achieving trust in the model is to permit users to verify its integrity and provenance, to prevent tampering across all processes from training to usage, via cryptographic signing... [T]he signature would have to be verified when the model gets uploaded to a model hub, when the model gets selected to be deployed into an application (embedded or via remote APIs) and when the model is used as an intermediary during another training run. Assuming the training infrastructure is trustworthy and not compromised, this approach guarantees that each model user can trust the model...
The average developer, however, would not want to manage keys and rotate them on compromise. Open Source Coalition Announces 'Model-Signing' with Sigstore to Strengthen the ML Supply Chain
The advent of LLMs and machine learning-based applications "opened the door to a new wave of security threats," argues Google's security blog. (Including model and data poisoning, prompt injection, prompt leaking and prompt evasion.)
So as part of the Linux Foundation's nonprofit Open Source Security Foundation, and in partnership with NVIDIA and HiddenLayer, Google's Open Source Security Team on Friday announced the first stable model-signing library (hosted at PyPI.org), with digital signatures letting users verify that the model used by their application "is exactly the model that was created by the developers," according to a post on Google's security blog.
[S]ince models are an uninspectable collection of weights (sometimes also with arbitrary code), an attacker can tamper with them and achieve significant impact to those using the models. Users, developers, and practitioners need to examine an important question during their risk assessment process: "can I trust this model?"
Since its launch, Google's Secure AI Framework (SAIF) has created guidance and technical solutions for creating AI applications that users can trust. A first step in achieving trust in the model is to permit users to verify its integrity and provenance, to prevent tampering across all processes from training to usage, via cryptographic signing... [T]he signature would have to be verified when the model gets uploaded to a model hub, when the model gets selected to be deployed into an application (embedded or via remote APIs) and when the model is used as an intermediary during another training run. Assuming the training infrastructure is trustworthy and not compromised, this approach guarantees that each model user can trust the model...

I think about this particularly in the context of Chemistry and other hazardous forms of work... Chemical manipulations could be performed by "robot arms" controlled by someone remote. Same thing with custom electronic fabrication and other forms of "delicate" work.
This is an "end-run" around the massive regulatory and liability burden that exists to do this kind of work, which effectively limits it to academic institutions and large companies.

IMO most meat is still ridiculously so full of blood and it messes with the taste of it, the salt removes some of it but letting the meat drain and dry a little tiny bit is better IMO, i almost always hang my beef up to drain out for half a day or so - i only get it frozen so it's basically killed and stuck in a freezer wrapped in plastic immediately
