Adding: last night I made a switch in it called Guitar Time for OBS that turns on studio mode if not, queues the guitar background scene, turns off mic filter, turns off the fan in the room, and finally transitions to that scene. Then toggling again transitions back, fan on, filter on, studio mode off. One tap and now I don't forget toggling the filter each time. ^^

Thank you SO much for the recent burst of donations! I'll get the site ledger updated today to keep track.
I wanted to get a sense from people, not as a poll, but replies: given the support, I want to do more for y'all. What kinds of things would that best entail?
I've looked into running Elk as an alternate front-end with authentication via blimps, to have a nice easy sign-in.
I've also looked into WriteFreely, not necessarily federating it (given no comments display) but for people to have a space to write longer posts, stories, journals, etc. 2000 characters is a lot, but I do find plenty of times I want to write a whole lot more.
But I'm eager to hear from my blimps.xyz users. You are why I run this site, and I'm eager to do what I can to keep this a good experience. :kay_happy:

Voice messages are often a high cognitive load for me because of the time to spend dedicated to listening to it in an environment that isn't one-on-one with that person.

Fuck insurance companies. Even though my plan is employer-funded, the plan is still administered by Blue Cross, and they sent me an email to say "we found savings!"

Trying to take suggestions from anyone. So far it seems importing any resource takes the following steps:
1) either find in browser, or drag onto the window
2) Tell Resonite what it represents that you're importing (Unity defaults to the most common type and lets you change it from there if you need)
3) per image, one at a time
4) spawns the image as a plane in the world. It's still not in your inventory tho. Have to import if you want it in inventory. Maybe that's not required to add it to a material?
5) manage to know your 3D cursor is on the texture and not something under it, and the grab and walk forward to occlude it with what you want to supply it to.
6) left-click, while still right-click-dragging, when the cursor is on the field you wanna insert it into.
It can't be this slow. what the hell. :<

I want to be able to feel welcomed by it. I'm sure not having to learn some facets of Unity may be easier to many, but I'm navigating these interfaces in desktop view and just...trying not to cry thinking about struggling with my dyspraxia to work with them in VR :< It's already a struggle even when I have the preciseness of a mouse or trackball just because it's a 2D interface represented in a 3D space and just... how is this constantly so hard for people to wrap their head around? Is it purposeful? Is it the need to universally defend something because you're a fan of it?
If so, _stop_. Listen instead. If you like the thing, don't deny the shortcomings; find solutions that meet _their_ needs and not try to conform them to it, OR push for those improvements, especially in what seems like so community-driven a platform.
Help people like me, don't try to cram us into a box we don't fit in.

I am trying to give this a chance, but it's every bit as tedious and frustrating and demoralizing as I was hoping it wasn't. And I'm trying to give it a genuine chance here, too, I'm taking time looking for things, but trying to build a single material, that requires 3D-movement skeumorphisms (a-la, drag a texture into a slot like in Unity, makes perfect sense when working in VR but a titanic chore in desktop), is draining my will to keep trying. I really want to.
I know others could do it for me, but this is the same accessibility hammer I keep striking: having to rely on someone else to do a task that is otherwise easy in another tool is _not_ an accessibility replacement. It's an excuse, a crutch, it's not a fix.
Fix idea: Allow me snapping inventory to a region of the screen, snapping an inspector view to another region, and keeping a fixed view I can navigate without requiring WASD movement. Make toggling between thumbnail and list views of files (and a tree view of folders) intuitive with a simple click toggle (if there was one I couldn't find it).
I'm just struggling to figure out how everyone else does this so easily. Can you, in VR view, just drag files straight from the filesystem view in the dashboard to their slots in the inspector? Since it's full-screen, I can't do that. Does it just vastly prefer I pre-make all the materials in Blender and import the .blend file so it's ready-to-go out-of-the-box?
I'm just frustrated. Everyone talks up "it has everything". I'm sure it does, but a monolithic approach to constructing something means you're stuck with whatever means they give you. Does Resonite's API allow me to construct my avatar in another tooling and then upload it in the state I've built it?
I'm just... I'm tired of having to bang on accessibility drums for my own disabilities. It hurts seeing them downplayed or ignored, "just rely on others" hurts. Help should be something I ask for on the times that I want it.

I feel like it deserves a better name than that, or the candy bar based on it, Twix, but this is an indulgent combination of crisp shortbread, soft and chewy rich, homemade caramel, and a soft chocolate ganache topped with flaky sea salt. @npub1gvs…jj5p I had that kinda until the point I'm at 11k words in. I'd been able to see the characters interacting in a realistic and natural fashion in my mind, paced in a way that wasn't forced, even in the goofy way people talk and repeat themselves sometimes. I really enjoyed it. Now I'm just in like a slog spot and going "oh hell I hadn't planned this far when I started writing this, fuck" XD

Do I just...skip along to a later point?
I also feel like I need help plotting the plot. I've general ideas for it, but the only connecting thread of conflict is attempting to work through one's own traumas to begin trusting in a deeper way than just on the surface. And it feels like the added components of kink make it harder to get seek realistic help.

Feeling like I should take a stab at custom integrations for @npub1e0l…mnff so I can implement voice intents better than the existing mechanisms allow. Custom IntentScript doesn't allow me to take an action and then reply based on the outcome; sentence triggers for automations don't allow me to reply at all.
Plus, using Python logic to handle slots instead of Jinja2 would be far easier and less messy.
