Got that bass! Didn't know it was fretless. It's weird and it was fairly inexpensive and I love it. Wish I could find its year but I haven't had much luck. Guessing maybe 80s or 90s? Silvertone has been around since at least the 60s, too. Amazing gift from my in-laws for my birthday next month. 😍

Like your art account on Insta that you got sick of, my wife and I had an account for our art stuff together and TikTok just deleted it. The whole account. Not a sustainable thing for ANYTHING. Some good Monday wake up music, a band I just discovered the other day -- Barren Womb. They have a new album coming out in February, and this one is from 2020. It SMOKES.
I don't even know what to compare it to. They call it 'doomsday rock' - I might hear some Helmet or Fugazi or something, I dunno. Refused? Clutch? It's great, dynamic, fun, loud, catchy-- GREAT all the way through. And one of the coolest riffs might be in the last few seconds of the album!

I've talked to @npub17s3…hp6p before about tinnitus, he has it pretty bad, it's super odd though on Monday I had pretty much the worst ringing I've ever had in my left ear for HOURS. Bizarre as hell, I've never had hearing issues but a TON of ear infections as a kid and in my 20s (smoking). But then I felt fluid maybe Monday? Pressure and LOUD ringing. Worried but took decongestants, it's calmed down. Still kinda there but better. Now my OTHER ear is ringing. What is going ON haha. But hope yours gets better.

@npub1uvq…g9gj I need to rewatch Network! My only MAIN problem with They Live is Roddy's HAIR, I mean, it was the 80s, a wrestler, I get it. hahaha. But no, you're right. Big Hollywood, no. Maybe an INDIE remake. Tom Hardy? I can see someone new trying it- but you're right, it wouldn't REALLY be as good as the original (THAT FIGHT SCENE haha) but just another take on it. I've listened to and loved London Calling for a lot of years, my childhood best friend and I discovered it together (as we later formed a band, he on guitar and me on bass). His favorite song on it was always Wrong Em Boyo. It's is a brilliant song, and the album is such a masterpiece that it's tough to choose favorite songs, but I can't help it-- my favorite on it has always been a tie: Death or Glory or Clampdown. I definitely still listen to it a lot - at least several times a month. What an album. Feels like it could've been recorded yesterday. Sometimes there's just magic that happens. All the textures. The harsh Joe Strummer guitar attacking and singing. *chefs kiss*

Now it's like VPN, Teams, Outlook, different MFA sign ins for EACH. Multiple times a day. It's tiresome. My wife works for a big (non health) company, they don't even lock their PCs. A lot of em are just sitting there totally open.

Ideally I'd like a BASEMENT for it, but the house we rent right now, we just use a spare bedroom. Still. Need to downsize, cleaning a big place sucks haha. Probably an unpopular opinion, but Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town are okay. They're just okay. Once you hear The River, it makes both of them pale, to me. I feel like The River is where Springsteen REALLY starts to shine.

@npub1l5v…mkce ugh. I'm so sorry, as I feel this pain, we had to just finally buckle down and get a new couch after suffering through 7 years with this crap one someone gave us for free. VERY difficult to find someone to remove an old couch, too. New couches are EXPENSIVE too it's stupid. We settled for something a little cheaper but still wanted a sectional, we had to set up payments even for the cheaper one we got, it was still super expensive (for us). Sigh

Sometimes when I put a little treat down for my cat, instead of going right over to it right away, he meows at me one more time and then finally goes over to it. Instead of thinking he's a little dim and it takes him a minute to realize it's there, I prefer to think he's meowing "thanks, man."

@npub13el…w3yd @npub1282…a2fw whoaa but I love this, this is catchy hahaha. I love Aphex Twin and Coil and all kinds of techno, too. See, to me, this is all interlinked with rock or metal- the same rhythms in this in the metal I was just listening to (a band called Visceral) haha - but whoa, this song is a trip, man. I dig it hahaha - it just made me actually lol at the end, around the 2 minute mark 😂
