Hey y’all. This morning, I wanted to test the ease and speed at which I could move sats from my wallet in Primal to an external wallet via on chain. My ministry has a self-custody Bitcoin wallet, which is on my phone. I have control over it. So, I used it for this test.
Results: It was quick and easy to move sats from my Primal wallet to a self-custody wallet.

you’ve been doing a lot of work to help with those affected by Hurricane Helene. It’s greatly appreciated. Those areas aren’t typically impacted by hurricanes as much as Florida. (I’m a Floridian.) So, many of them may not know about hurricane relief options. I’m not sure if you know but for those who have been impacted by the recent hurricanes, they can probably receive hurricane relief assistance regarding their bills. Inform them to call their credit card company, mortgage lender, or bank and state the impact of the hurricane. In some cases, those impacted may be able to defer payments for two months depending on the company. And missed payments during that time won’t be reported to the credit bureaus. The companies might also offer additional assistance such as waiving late fees.

Nostr reminds me a lot of Dubai in its early days.
If you know anything about the history of Dubai, it didn’t really get popping until the 1990s. It’s literally a city built in the desert. There was pretty much nothing here in the 1960s. From what I understand, they’re able to intercept messages before they’re sent across the network. An example of this tactic was used on social media during the pandemic in 2020 to stop “misinformation.” I don’t know the specific technique used in this case. I can only hypothesize. Who wants to be mediocre? Perhaps some people are comfortable. Maybe their ego has them believing they’re winning. In your bubble, sure. In the real world, not so much.
I read posts of others offering suggestions and tips. For example, @npub1lel…kvyz wrote a great post recently about user experience. I hope it doesn’t fall on deaf ears. He also offered to help. I hope someone reaches out to him and join forces. Nostr doesn’t have an official team so you have to make your own. I’m shocked that more people aren’t joining forces. Some people might say “we are.” But it’s clear you need more people on the team bringing other perspectives, solutions, and recommendations. If Nostr was truly poppin’ right now, it would have more users and the users would stay.
Recall, I lurked for a while before making my first post on this account. Have some improvements been made? Yes. But is it enough?
I’ve personally offered suggestions and sometimes it feels like my advice falls on deaf ears. Perhaps I should *limit* my ideas, tips, suggestions, and recommendations for the public until I see the ones I’ve offered being implemented. Why keep giving suggestions if I don’t see them being implemented? Maybe people don’t see the value in it. Who knows?
I want to see more collaboration. Max mentioned a community idea and I agree. That applies to Nostr as well. Link up with others. Reach out to them. Slide in their DMs or contact them in some other form. We go further together.

I never said the average person was someone who didn’t have a cell phone. I was bringing up an additional point.
In the original post, I said, “If the average person around the world can’t afford to buy Bitcoin (even small amounts), how does the Bitcoin economy work?”
This is the average person I was referring to. And I’m specifically asking about a *Bitcoin economy.*
When you get a chance, Look up the statistics of the average salary AND expenses around the world. Also, if someone must choose between buying food or Bitcoin, what would incentivize them to buy Bitcoin? And if they bought it, what to do with it? Hold it? For what? Until when? If someone bought $2 worth of Bitcoin (a small amount), how does that improve their life?
I’m not trying to argue with you. I’m not being mean. These are serious questions. I know sometimes *tone* can’t be detected in digital conversations. I’m asking genuine questions. (I don’t do internet beef. ) 🙃
Someone who doesn’t own Bitcoin has asked these same questions to me. So, I would like to know what others have to say.

The Great Depression of epic proportions is on the way. It will affect people globally. Bitcoin can be a solution out of this mess.
People will say, “Bitcoin fixes this.”
My question is…How? I’m willing to have an intellectual dialogue.
How many people in the world currently have Bitcoin? How many people are paid in Bitcoin? How many merchants accept Bitcoin?
If the average person around the world can’t afford to buy Bitcoin (even small amounts), how does the Bitcoin economy work?
In a typical economy, people work a job. They’re paid a salary (typically currency). And the currency is used to buy products, goods and services. The person receives the currency to pay for other things. That’s a basic way of currency moving in an economy.
If we want a Bitcoin #economy, do we use the same method? If so, who’s paying in Bitcoin? What companies are hiring and paying employees in Bitcoin? I’m aware there are “Bitcoin-related” jobs. But what about “regular” jobs? Perhaps we need more Bitcoin #businesses paying employees in Bitcoin. But then where do they get the Bitcoin to pay their employees? Buy some? Take out a loan? Is there a Bitcoin only *bank* that lends Bitcoin? Is it even legal? (I have so many questions! 🙃)
Every job I worked, I was paid in fiat. I personally have no desire to go back to *working* for fiat. If I do work for a company (and there are a few exceptions), I want to be paid in Bitcoin. I work for God now but there are a few exceptions in which I would work for an organization again. Furthermore, I would honestly figure out how to live a Bitcoin only life. I’m sick of this “financial system” scam.
What are some real solutions to get Bitcoin into the hands of more people? We know they want us dependent, depressed, and shackled to their system. How do we use our power to obtain true financial freedom? Please feel free to chime in.

This is where the growth team can come in to *help*. The team is an *added* component. The team is not taking away from anything anyone is doing.
Users can still promote Nostr and so can the growth team. It’s a win-win situation everyone.

I wanted to follow-up on @npub1wmr…g240's idea for a #Nostr Growth Team. I asked the following questions the other day but no one responded.
“What does a growth team look like? What are the integral components?”
So, I’ll respond to myself. 🙃 I know some of you don’t want #marketing. I agree that we don’t need #ads in the traditional sense. But we need *something*. I think there should be a group of individuals who can provide some tips, suggestions, and guidance for both devs and users. Just to be clear…the Nostr Growth Team members are NOT in a position of power nor authority. They’re NOT the bosses of Nostr nor CEOs. Consider them a team of *advisors*. You can use your free will to take their advice or not. At the end of the day, you can do what you want. You’re in the driver’s seat. With that said, the loudest voice in the room doesn’t speak for everyone. I’m sure there are some devs out there who would appreciate the help. Some of them are a team of 1, 2, or 3. I believe they would be happy to receive guidance as they move forward. Some of them don’t have the time, money, nor manpower to do everything.
Therefore, here is where the Nostr Growth Team comes in to help. I envision the components of the Nostr Growth Team being the following:
*Global Strategy
*User Acquisition and Retention
*User Experience and Engagement
*Networking and Connections
*Revenue and Sales
*Market Research & Competitive Analysis
*Opportunity Discovery
The members of the team have a growth mindset and big picture thinking. More importantly, they want to help grow Nostr.
For example, they might…
*Show the results from the latest user research
*Explain the latest trends and provide insights
*Show how your app compares to others and offer tweaks to make yours stand out
*Provide advice as to how your free app can be a paid app
*Discuss different giveaways and contests that attract new users
*Provide information about international markets
*Create tutorials for best practices regarding app design and user interface
*Discuss geopolitics to identify potential upcoming bans of other platforms and using the opportunity to onboard new users
*Offer suggestions for new apps (Like I did when I suggested the Nostr version of Teledoc)
Depending on the position, they’ll work with #devs, users, or both. It’s a team effort and collaboration is key. This is a *dedicated* team of professionals. Also, there could be a Nostr Community Resource Center, where devs and users can search for information, guides, tutorials, etc. in one place. The #developers can also reach out to the team for constructive criticism, feedback, and suggestions for improvement. Let’s be honest, sometimes you can’t see your own error. It’s nice to get a perspective from someone who is honest and wants the best for you. Always remember, you have the autonomy to agree or disagree with the advice.
On a final note, I think the Nostr Growth Team’s mission should be how Nostr can be used to make the world a better place. But I don’t think the main focus should be on Nostr *itself*. Nostr is “behind the scenes”. As I’ve stated before and I’ll state it again, we should focus on the apps, front end user experience, and offerings.
For example, when you think of Apple products, people don’t typically talk about Apple *itself*. They will say they have an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook. I think that’s how we should consider Nostr.
I also think our attention should be on giving people something they can’t get anywhere else and making it awesome! That’s the sweet spot. You gotta make it irresistible.
Hopefully by the next Nostr conference/unconference next year, we’ll be able to showcase more and better apps/clients. I would like for it to be in Africa or South America. Those continents are truly untapped markets with so much potential for Nostr apps/clients.

Furthermore, you have a point about customer loyalty and classism. Perhaps, Dollar Tree is seen as low tier for some people.
Moreover, for some, it could simply be convenience. Maybe some people don’t want to go to several stores to get items. But that’s also off-putting because in some places Walmart and Dollar Tree are literally in the same area. In one area I frequent, they are in the same shopping plaza.
Let me also add a quick story: At a particular Dollar Tree, I asked the manager why they didn’t sell more food items. She said they used to. There’s a Winn Dixie in the same shopping plaza. Winn Dixie complained and said Dollar Tree was taking business away from them. The owners of the shopping plaza told Dollar Tree they couldn’t sell many food items because they’re competing with the grocery store next door. Technically, Dollar Tree isn’t a grocery store. So, now this Dollar Tree has limited food items for sale.
