Here’s a fun little story about yesterday’s #DDOS attack…
As per usual I was sitting in front of the local bank, but unlike Saturdays there were people "working" there yesterday.
I put my chair right at the border of the private property of the bank and the public sidewalk, put on my speakers on medium volume and fell into the familiar state of Kosmos (a Greek word, that describes the meditative state of watching life pass by, while being an aware and silent observer).
After approx. 21 minutes I was rudely approached by the security manager of the bank: "I have domestic authority here, fuck off immediately! Otherwise I’ll call the police."
I calmly asked him to do so, if he thought it was necessary, knowing that his domestic authority wouldn’t affect me on a public sidewalk.
Some blocks went by, then I spotted two young policeman talking to the security guard and a guy in a suit.
One of them approached me.
👮🏼‍♂️ "Hello Sir, we were called…"
I immediately recognized the person standing in front of me. We had spent years together annoying our teachers in school.
🐰⚡️ "Till?"
The recognition was both ways. Old friends meeting again in vastly different contexts. Till had this broad grin on his face and asked me: "WTF are you doing here?"
I tried my best to explain but didn’t need to because he quickly recognized the situation. We checked if we still had each other’s numbers and decided to move the conversation to catch up on each other’s life’s to a different space and time.
He went back to the banksters and told them in a decisive tone and with the authority of the police uniform, that there is nothing they could do. That they should not harass me, since I’m just there using my right to voice my opinions.
Till and his colleague left with a 21 #Bitcoin bill each, a wink, and left me with an empowering feeling.

So I’m in my garden and look for my seedlings.
All of them have fine roots and I’m trying to nurture them as best as I can.
But sometimes I feel like yelling at them: „Just fucking grow!“
I know they won’t listen to me, but I’m frustrated and feel anxious and lonely. What if my garden will never become a thriving ecosystem and see fruits, but rather be wiped away by a flood, dried out by a heatwave, messed up by a tornado or overrun by tanks?
Guess I’ll need to improve my observations on nature to become even more effective on nurturing.

Time for a recap of last week:
I was in Kassel, joining fellow climate activists in their struggle to create political tension around the absurd project of Kassel Calden Airport.
An airport that is heavily subsidised by taxpayer money to mainly facilitate private jet take offs and landings, within times of an escalating climate catastrophe.
The mayor of the city, a green party member, publicly stated that this project is economically and ecologically nonsensical.
It is an obvious and easy target to rally public opinion against and create tension between the virtues of the Green Party and the reality that is happening there.
Within days I was known as „The Bitcoin Guy“ within camp.
Although we have our strategic differences, I was generally accepted and respected by the community. Managing to setup a lightning wallet for donations to our cook, as well as doing my best to answer the barrage of questions.
On Friday I gave a workshop on "Monetary Civil Disobedience" in which I laid out the two paths of stopping fossil subsidies:
1. Gaining power within traditional institutions to redirect the flow of money.
2. Delegitimizing the monetary system fuelling these subsidies.

Imagine #Nostr had about the same user base as Facebook. (4bn)
Now Imagine you would want to zap every one of these users just 1 sat.
Now look in your cold storage and see if there are 40 #Bitcoin in there. 👀🤯
Moral of the story:
Value every #zap, Sats are much more valuable than what the fiat conversion might suggest.
