You can start with the park and draft method. That's the most beginner friendly. You can go at your own pace and really get a feel for how twist and drafting make yarn.

it depends on the baby and how fast they're growing.
these babies can still fit in size 1 but the capacity can't quite keep up with their pee amoun for long period of time. we're using up whatever we have left of the box during the day when we can change them more often. For overnight, we put them in 2s so they can make it through the night. If I can get away with not changing a diaper overnight, that's less work and more sleep.

your view of Americans having guns as being for glamour, fun and being a cowboy is so narrow.
The landmass of the USA is vast. In certain parts of the country, calling the police in an emergency means nothing because they aren't going to show up in time to do anything meaningful. Not for their lack of commitment to the duty of protect and serve, but literally because the time it takes to travel the distance.
The 24 hr gas station owner getting robbed at 3am doesn't have a panic button to summon police that will arrive in a timely manner. He needs to have a means to defend himself and his business.
The woman getting stalked by her physically abusive ex-husband can finally sleep at night cuz she has a handgun in her nightstand.
The family man who can't afford to move his family into a safer neighborhood has to arm himself so he can protect his loved ones in the event the local meth heads decide to hit up their house for whatever god forsaken reason.
Maybe Europeans feel more settled in their societies because established government has a long history. They're used to being ruled over. The British monarchy has been around for 1000 years, for example.
The United States, a nation with barely any history, is still pioneering and hasn't shed that "you can't tell me what to do, mom!" attitude towards government. We fought a whole war about it.
We need the guns to protect ourselves because no one is coming to save us from ourselves but ourselves.

this never crossed my mind. wow, this is an epiphany moment for me.
I like it when I take notes and past me can remind present me how I did something once upon a time. Now imagine that past me can teach future me, in the form of my offspring or even offsprings' offspring how to spin long draw on a supported spindle or how to knit a hat.
I've always been on the fence about recording video of my craft but this might be the meaningful reason that I need to do so.

I asked him what level trauma center the hospital was cuz I'm weird and am curious about such things. The conversation led to him telling me more about their ER and when they're the most and least busy.
Sunday mornings like 6am, he said, are the least busy. Just like Walmart, I guess 😄

Early newborn days puts me in a very systematic way of thinking. Babies crave routine and yet are unpredictable.
A lot of things I learn from taro's newborn days are coming back to me. I wanted to write them down back then but I never had the time or the confidence back then. This time around, I am writing down my notes. I want to remember these days. they are fleeting.

fun fact, I once pursued a degree in materials engineering because of nano material research at the time. Unfortunately, after failing requisite calculus classes multiple times, I decided that I was not meant to be an engineer like my father.

one time I used a bigger bowl with a smaller bowl upside down in the middle for support and then laid a kitchen towel sprinkled liberally in rice flour and tied it on like a hammock.
you don't need the smaller bowl of the big bowl is not that deep. the rice flour is key though. if you use regular flour, it will form gluten with the dough during fermentation and will stick to the towel.

they're identical twins and it's hard to tell them apart by looks thus far. I'll be referring to them as churro and falco in future nostr notes. while they look similar, their personalities are fairly distinct. churro is calmer, more chill while falco is a bit of a wildcard.
taro, my firstborn, is so curious about the two new additions. While I was having a bite in the kitchen, he wandered off as toddlers do and came back saying "ah! ah!" in the same cadence as the baby crying and had me follow him to the crib.
It's been a long journey for me to have these three children. This is the beginning of an awesome adventure. I'm open to sharing my experiences so feel free to ask any questions on motherhood, infertility and raising twins.
