You find interesting little rocks; ones with some colors and different textures. You want rocks that are about the size of a marble, maybe a little bigger. Then you put them in the tumbler with some grit and water, and turn it on. It's tumbles the rocks, and the grit takes the edges off and starts to smooth it out. After a while, you turn it off and remove the rocks and grit. Then, you put them back in with some more water and a finer grit, and let it run again. You do this a few times, each time using a finer grit. You end up with a totally smooth, polished rock with an almost glass-like surface. It really brings out the colors and details. You can build a little collection of cool rocks with various colors and detail.

About to go down this survivors guilt rabbit hole
I was obsessed with rock tumblers when I was a kid. I begged my mom for one for like 6mo, and she finally got it for me for my 9th birthday. Tumbling rocks became my obsession for like a year. Then I developed other interests and sorts put the tumbler on the shelf. I'd still use it once or twice a year pretty much til I was 18, but I had a tendency to get really into something, and then once it went through my system, I'd get bored with it and move on to something else.
That’s one possible version of it. Another is that it’s survivors guilt.
Yesterday, one of the off spring found kittens in our yard. Word spread like wild fire to the rest of the offspring, but they had strict instructions not to tell Beth Jr.
She just asked me this: “Momma, if like, there was a stray kitten that just came to our front door, or like, the deck, could we keep it?”
She knows. Girlfriend knows.

- Multiple vendor air-gapped signing device options with a secure element.
- They can help your heirs recover your money if needed.

How long is the video in minutes? 21MiB should allow for at least 3-5m in 720p(HD) if compressed right. Try using Handbreak and encode for the web and keep resolution under 720p with 30fps or less. Do quality based compression and use 30 as the target to achieve good results

Politics are composed of people who need to win majorities in public votes to maintain their positions. If all of those elected have to fight for the support of long term Bitcoin holders who value freedom above all else, I can't see a system where totalitarianism runs as rampant as it does today.
What I'm thinking of isn't so much using politics to fix things, but the adoption of Bitcoin creating a more self sovereign voting base to limit the power of politicians.

I waffled between voting or not throughout the early voting period, decided fuck it I'm gonna vote Trump for his Bitcoin stance, and missed my chance to vote on tuesday because I was pulled out of town for a family emergency. That vote would have just been another pebble in the landslide, but I regret not being more decisive sooner when I had the chance. This is after almost a decade of voting democrat because the idea of voting republican was literally un-thinkable, in the Orwellian sense.
I have a feeling that Bitcoin's influence will make elections a lot more meaningful and sane moving forward as all political parties worldwide realize that they have to support it and it's holders to survive. If so, I will put in the effort to vote more proactively moving forward.

Antiviruses are basically viruses. They hog all the computer resources, make it slow and pop up ads to upsell you and overall get in your way more than anything.
They won't stop or protect you from things like ransomware but backups do.

The dude had a pretty large bitcoin stack and invested it into a “peaker plant” power company whose stated intention was to sell power to bitcoin miners (hut8). Peaker plants only turn on when power supplies are insufficient for demand. Bitcoin miners intentionally sell their allotment of power back to the grid during times of peak demand, as the power they’re allotted is more valuable at that moment than the bitcoin they could mine(ie- they can just sell the power and buy bitcoin)
The dude is kinda straight dumb. He calls bitcoin insurance, but used his bitcoin as capital for an investment in something that made no sense, and lost his shirt.

Added another track on @npub1yfg…v6vg from my personal music project, Hujai, which is kind of on pause at the moment.
The name “Hujai” came to me during a mushroom trip in my room a while back. I used to grow mushrooms myself, and the trips I’ve had have been really interesting - to say the least - giving me some really meaningful insights. I remember sitting on the floor, painting and playing guitar, as the mushroom was speaking to me.
This track came out of that experience.
The recording was made later on with my friend John on drums (who was also in my other band, Big Awesome, which also has tracks on Wavelake). Recording was done live in Johns bedroom with two room mics.
My favorite part is the chorus and bridge in the middle of the song—it brings me back to that trip, a mix of sadness, peace, and beauty that still gives me goosebumps. Use headphones if you have them.

Based upon what I've seen here - and on a few Telegram threads - I want to go with a Start9 Server One. I understand I could build my own and download the software for free. However, I want to support Start9 by purchasing their hardware with the software already installed.
I will be using fiat - even though they have bitcoin discounts - because I'm not parting with that much bitcoin right before the bull of all bull markets. It's one thing to buy a book or a beer...
I'm running lean right now as snow days have me canceling outdoor tennis lessons, so my questions are around sizing for now....many other questions will come up later as I try to maximize use of this new hardware with possibly running a nostr relay and/or a lightning node...Alby Hub...mail server...password manager...photo storage...laptop backups...etc??

Did you listen to the Joe Rogan interview? 3 hours. I found him very coherent, sharp even. I had to rewind a few spots where I didn't understand but Trump did, to figure out what they were talking about. I'm sure there is context I don't have, but he could immediately have a new context in his head and opine about it much faster than I would expect for a 78 year old. I think it must be the golf.
