I've been thinking about this too recently. I think that Twitter has gotten to the point that very few people even see our tweets (non blue check plebs talking about nostr) and those who do are chasing an influencer status that they think the Twitter algos will grant them if they can just say the right things in the right way.
Today nostr is for people who just want to be themselves without needing to pursue influencer status. I believe that in the future there will be clients and relays that will give people the algos, censorship and the influencer status stuff. But there will always be clients and relays on nostr for us freedom loving, uncensored, nostriches who just want to say:

You can send on chain into and out of your Phoenix wallet. You just need to pay on chain fees.
It's like the inverse of Muun... On chain or lightning, but Phoenix defaults to lightning while Muun defaults to on chain.

I've tried them all. Phoenix wallet would be my recommendation. Unfortunately we live in a post-wallet of Satoshi era in the US, and while Phoenix is superior to WoS in many ways, it's definitely not as newbie friendly. But overall I think it's the best option.

He truly believes that war is good, inflation is good and censorship is good. It was at that moment that I gave up talking to him about Bitcoin.

If governments cannot forcibly extract wealth from their citizens the incentive to control a larger population will be diminished.
If the world is on a Bitcoin standard and a war were to cause large scale destruction, the capital that would need to be deployed to rebuild would reduce the amount of Bitcoin being hodled and would reduce the purchasing power of the aggressor.
If governments cannot print money and cannot force their citizens to pay taxes, they will be forced to either provide valuable services to the population or they will not survive.
Bitcoin will casue a massive amount of global peace.

Its good to be able to get into a real high fee environment for a while. Getting out of the theoretical and into the actual will help grow demand and therefore development on more layer-2 solutions.
Lightning is great for payments, but not for long term wealth preservation IMHO. Layer 2 solutions that allow for offline signing devices and multisig will be in demand soon enough.

• 10k steps - daily (phones tracks it)
• Workout 3x a week (3 hours a week)

I would love to tell you that there are easy ways to move the ball forward for nuclear. The best chance for nuclear is all tied up in politics; so unfortunately, I would say vote for politicians who are pro-nuclear or throw in your support for the current group of pro-nuclear advocates and hope that we get our piece of the money printer.
Bitcoin doesn't need the government to survive, nuclear power does.

I have worked in the nuclear industry for over 17 years, many of which I have worked closely with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission - especially regarding proposals for new and innovative regulation to help reduce plant operating costs. My time and experience in the nuclear industry as well as my bitcoin induced education about energy policy and the state has lead me to the point that I am actually bearish on the future of nuclear power.
GASP! – I know, I know… but I have learned to live in reality, and the truth is that all the pro-nuclear sentiments are not grounded in operational, present day, reality and all require massive state intervention for success.
I believe Alex Epstein is correct when he says that Nuclear power has been criminalized by the United States. Nuclear power has been regulated beyond any comprehension of what it means to protect the health and safety of the public. In fact, nuclear power has been so over regulated that we are actually endangering the public by forcing plants to shut down and preventing new plants from being built on the premise of the most absurdly conservative acceptable operational and safety limits.
A friend of mine published a tool that tracks how many documents have been submitted to the NRC for various new reactor designs. Since 2017 about 10,000 documents have been sent to the NRC for their review; each individual document may take as long as a year to review and most will receive requests for additional information (RAIs).

If you are bullish on nuclear, you are bullish on money printing and government backed loans to get plants built; you are bullish on politicians flipping to a pro-human outlook and bravely standing up to the union of concerned scientists; you are bullish on increasing the size of governmental nuclear regulators around the world by an order of magnitude or more in order to approve and regulate a new / larger nuclear fleets.
A nuclear powered future would indeed be bright, but the reality is that the NRC and the IAEA will never allow most countries access to nuclear power. I know it’s hard to admit, but the resurgence in interest in nuclear power is primarily driven by a fraudulent carbon accounting system and climate catastrophists who think that we will all be driving hydrogen powered cars and flying in hydrogen powered airplanes. I do not feel comfortable at all with the current group of carbon hysterics who are leading the charge for nuclear.
I will continue to work as hard as possible to keep our existing nuclear fleet operating, because in reality, they won’t be replaced by new nuclear generation for at least 50 years.

I’m certainly not a big believer in unions but there is something to say for organizing in the name of closing the gap that exists because wages lag inflation. Companies will absolutely underpay their employees for as long as they can get away with it.
