To say that a stock is at a record high the metric you should look at is price of the stock divided by the earnings the stock is expected to generate in the future. Earnings the stock is expected to generate in the future is a forecast and it’s going to be subjective. You can use trailing earnings, or shiller earnings as a proxy, or try something more complicated.
Stocks are at a high though not a the highest they have ever been. Therefore they are overvalued by this historically looking metrics. In order to believe they are not overvalued someone needs to believe the earnings in the future will be about double what they currently are generating. And the narrative you may hear for why earnings will be double in the future compared to what they are currently is beliefs about AI and its impact on efficiency.

I agree we don’t know all the facts, and I’m not an attorney but For your own benefit in the future let me assure you the statute that says they can : “(1) to interrogate any alien or *person believed to be an alien* as to his right to be or to remain in the United States;” Needs to be a reasonable belief based on something. It not an excuse to detain for any reason. Based on what we know I hope she does sue, on appearance I don’t see what reasonable belief they would have had to arrest her for being outside her apartment. Proximity to your apartment doesn’t make you more or less likely to be in the country illegally. The best I can do would be to say they had evidence that there were a lot of illegal immigrants living in the apartment. But I don’t think that would hold up as it’s not specific enough to her. It’s casting too wide a net to say “because I know a lot live in this apartment I can detain anyone without a warrant for this enforcement” That’s my problem generally, on appearance these are warranties arrests without probable cause. And it’s not just an inconvenience it’s a violation of the 4th amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. Violence isn’t going to be seen as legitimate against the state until if the magic undefined tipping point where the state looses its monopoly power on violence because they are clearly violating constitutional rights is reached. Some segment of the population is protesting because they believe there are constitutional violations happening in mass. It’s interesting to watch.

You wanted to know how the state incites violence. And how they are inciting violence particularly in this case. I’ve described it. Mass arrests of non violent offenders in a heavy visual presence, disturbing the life in residential areas, by people not trained to police while respecting constitutional rights, predictably create the protests. Heavy handed crowd control predictably radicalizes the protesters. Videos of the protestors being violent is the outcome the state wants so that it can justify bringing in the national guard and polarize the population.
What is the possible probable cause of arresting a natural born citizen because you didn’t have an ID on you while being outside your apartment. Since they turn out to be a citizen it can’t be that they have paperwork with your name on it back at the office. They are arresting because they don’t know who you are, not because they know who you are and they have some prior evidence you committed a crime. Arresting someone because you’re not sure if they didn’t commit a crime is all kinds of constitutional violations. The ask is not to me on how they can satisfy the base without inciting violence. The ask is for them on how can they enforce the law without violating the rights of people.
The fact that the state is presently pursing the enforcement while appearing to not care about the rights of people is the point of the protests in many cases.

I think you should search out more videos that actually go into asking the actual protestors why they are actually protesting. I have showed you what I have seen.
Yes there are people protesting because their dad was taken.
Yes there are people protesting because the states enforcement of helicopters and drones and search lights woke them up and they think it’s overkill in their neighborhood.
Yes some people are protesting because they don’t want to see military exercises in their city.
Yes someone is protesting because they were a false positive and felt the state violence.
Yes there are protestors because they think this is a slippery slope to authoritarianism and they think they are standing against it.
Yes there are protestors because they are anti Trump.
Yes there are protestors because someone died in ICE custody.
Yes there are people protesting because someone was taken by ICE and they haven’t heard from them.
Yes some people are protesting because they just don’t think they should be enforcing with violence against a non violent crime or offender. Yes someone is protesting because they want to punch a cop. It’s all down there.
My main point is that the state has choices, they can enforce the laws in ways that grow discontent of the population they are policing and they can enforce the laws in ways that encourage trust with the population they are policing. Federal agents and border patrol are not the police, they aren’t trained to be police. They don’t know how to interact with the public in inoffensive ways. As a government You should not release the federal agents and ICE and border patrol onto the population it will agitate and radicalize, it’s predictable. They don’t have the correct training. Bad crowd control stimulates violent protests.
But also, hell no it’s not standard practice to arrest someone for coming out of their apartment. How is that probable cause.

You have an internal sense of justice and fairness. Whenever someone treats you violently when you think you didn’t deserve it, it violates that sense of justice. And your human instinct is to be violent in retaliation.
You are a citizen, you live in an apartment, your three year old daughter lives with you, your wife lives with you. The state knocks on your door at 3 AM, your asleep, your not fast enough, they kick in your door, they put a gun in your face. Your family is cuffed, brought outside, interrogated. Your wife is cold, your daughter is crying and shivering. You didn’t do anything wrong to bring this on. Your family is separated children go in one car, you in the other. You are asked for ID, it’s not on you, they ask for name, DOB, and if you have warrants. You comply, You don’t have warrants. After a few hours the state lets you go after checking the system.
Are you not radicalized by the interaction? More prone to join a protest?
You join a protest to show your displeasure in being woken up at 3 AM and treated like a criminal for no reason. Others at the protest don’t have the same story as you, they were in the apartment too, they are your neighbors. You know them, they know you. Your kids play together on the playground behind the apartment. Their husband was taken that night, they haven’t been able to get any information since. You’re both outside the ICE office. The crowd has grown since when it started at 4:30pm it’s now 9:00pm. Some have left but others have taken there place. It’s rowdy. A police line comes from the ICE office in crowd control gear, dressed in black and shields. They line up against your protest line, they are walking toward you in unison. You still haven’t done anything illegal. Your heart picks up, someone on a loudspeaker declares this an illegal gathering. You’re blocked in on either side anyway, but you don’t want to leave just because they tell you to. You want accountability, they treated you wrong, you didn’t deserve the treatment. After declaring it illegal three times the police line makes contact pushing humans on top of each other with shields. You fall on someone else, another falls on you. You scramble up and back away and human nature takes over. The police line approaches again, you try to stand your ground, you push back. Adrenaline and anger and the feeling of injustice fills you. The police line comes again you are ready, this time you catch pepper spray.
Legally staying past the third call to disband and being told it was an illegal assembly puts you in the position of this force being applied to you. But you didn’t actually do anything, you’ve been standing in the same place all day. You haven’t done anything wrong. Maybe members of the crowd did maybe it’s a gray line. But you didn’t. This is the second time the state has used force on a group. Some in the group deserved it, perhaps they were violent, perhaps you told them to cut it out yourself. But again the force is being applied to you all the same. Your feeling of injustice is greater. You call your friends they come to the next protest, they are treated the same way as you. Your friend gets a lot of pepper spray in their eyes. They scream in pain and kick on the ground.
Are you more radicalized than you started, sleeping in your apartment before they kicked in your door?
Law enforcement action will generate false positives, crowd control will generate false positives. The heavier the hand the greater the measure of injustice felt and the more radicalized people become. Eventually a rock is thrown at a car it’s not you but someone does. Again and again. Until your tribalism fully kicks in it’s us vs them. We have shared water, and held together when the police lines came. They have used each excuse they could to shut us up, including violence. Eventually you do what comes naturally.
I’m not saying you would make all these same choices but I can see how state enforcement on a group will catch up people that did nothing to deserve it, and it grows from there. That’s why protests everywhere always grow as the enforcement gets harder. It brings people off the sidelines. And it’s the purpose of the protest in many cases to illicit a response to get the normies radicalized to join the cause.
Until something truly horrific happens or the state is able to change their tactics to reduce the interventions of this kind of heavy handed crowd control.
Trump wanted in Chicago weeks ago, we just happen to find ourselves on the brink of the insurrection act being used and national guard being pulled in? I’m not at all surprised. They were trolled and baited.

So yes the difference between the US and other countries homicide rate is largely explainable by the increased lethality of the tools available. The claimed purpose behind the wide availability of guns in the US, the second amendment, is the claim that it reduces the expected lifespan of tyrants, “necessary to the security of a free state”. Testing this hypothesis is hard and will take multiple centuries of comparison statistics to see if it’s true. However, there is an observed pattern of authoritarians banning guns once they take power, see the following histories (Nazi Germany, Bolshevik Revolution, Maoist China, Cambodia, North Korea, Zimbabwe) Almost no authoritarians allow unrestricted firearms in the populations under their control. ( See also most monarchies of Europe from the past where overlap with guns existed) Guns were carefully kept in the hands of those favorable to the regime. In the US, the constitution forbids The People from having their right to firearm ownership infringed as a hedge to the authoritarian risk. It comes with responsibility of The People to not be flippant about their use and not to abuse that responsibility, but it clearly does happen. But to judge the American approach to guns you have to evaluate it in the context of “Does it actually reduce the lifespan of Tyrants ?” and weigh the goods and bads.

I’m not aware of rebound issues but it is my understanding that your body generates creatine from red meat but if you dose creatine, for the time that you are on it, your body stops producing it, so you don’t get incremental, you need to dose for that. And if you stop taking it my understanding is your body starts producing creatine again. My strong suspicion is it’s the same with melatonin the only question is if there is a lagged effect with either and how long. My belief is the lagged effect for creatine is small enough to not be measured in studies so yeah seems like no bad effects. I haven’t looked into the lagged effect of melatonin yet if any.

My blue light blocking glasses haven’t come yet, so I’ve been using melatonin at night and honestly I wasn’t sure melatonin had any efficacy. Also not sure if it should be taken long term. Well I didn’t take any last night and I woke up at 3 AM and I could tell I wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep. I took it and was hit with heavy sleepiness. Do any of these have the capability to dock into a screen / mouse / keyboard with a USB-C and run full desktop apps from that interface and run mobile versions of apps when the phone is not docked? I found that use to be quite compelling when I saw the lapdocks initially. I think for most people the compute and performance of their phone is sufficient it’s just the UI that is limiting. Utilizing a single hardware set is very attractive to me for everyday use.

Dropped by the construction site today, exterior siding is being installed and internal drywall is mostly completed.
Not pictured here, I checked on my office, I had a few specific adds for the builders, RG8X coax to be ran from my office down to the unfinished basement where I will drop it outside eventually for a few HAM radio antennas. And a fiber optic line from where the Ethernet is being collected. And lastly an additional dedicated electrical outlet for my radio. I’m attempting to isolate anything that will be connected to my radio station to decrease radio frequency interference in and out. The fiber optic line will be future proof from a speed perspective but also as it lacks conducting elements in the wire it won’t pick up noise from electronics in the house and thus I can avoid bringing that electrical noise into my computer when using digital modes while connected to the internet. The isolated power will do a similar job decreasing the noise on the line from other electronics that would be on the same breaker. I also asked for the hot and neutral wires to be twisted together (the hope being that this will help cancel any noise picked up from other devices in the house as RFI but will need to study the dedicated circuit more to see if that was done.
My plan is to mount a 2 meter wavelength antenna in the attic and run a 80 meter wavelength end-fed half-wave dipole out to a tree about 25 feet from the ground to do Near Vertical Incident Skywave propagation. With the goal of establishing regular consistent communication with my brother at his property a little more than a hundred miles away. He is approaching the same pursuits as I am roughly with a homestead. I was able to produce a map of his place with the contours of the land and a few rough ideas for his property. Pond locations, house site locations etc. I’m not a professional engineer but I’m pretty sure he had a very cost effective 6 acre pond site if he wanted it, lucky duck. I’ll be glad if I can squeeze in a little frog pond. I’ll probably get a meshtastic thing set up eventually too, to see what that is all about. But no plans yet.
That would leave me with one more external antenna that I don’t know what to do with yet. Any suggestions welcome. #grownostr #hamradio #homesteading

Ok 👍, the message “Unable to fetch, Retry?” Gives the impression that something failed with the client, after all the original poster saw it and quoted. Something that references a delete would answer the question. But the fact that the same message is used for when content cannot be found makes me think the information set is the same and the two situations really cannot have different messages. If so too bad, if there is data to differentiate the situation I’d recommend it, as it feels better to a user (in my opinion) to know that the original message was deleted by the relay than my client failed in someway. Thanks for answering the questions.

We are a little further along than this now. 5+ac in Ohio. A family tree nursery had fallen on hard times and had to split their property to cover their debt. We bought it pre covid after looking for about a year and a half.
I chose 5 acres because it was the smallest land that I thought could reasonably support a family resiliently long term and in Ohio unincorporated land is excluded from county zoning laws on agricultural use if it is 5ac or more, including buildings for agricultural use.
Land is zoned for rural residential by the county.
The covenants of the land restrict my use from dog kennels and from having more than 2 cattle nor 2 pigs. I’m thinking smaller livestock anyway (poultry, rabbits, and maxing out at sheep) Plus some sqft requirements on the house etc, which I wasn’t thrilled about but all of which I believe are manageable with my plans.
The house itself will be fairly conventional with some resilience built in from the start, (A bit thicker walls for additional insulation, a propane generator with a large propane tank, and tornado safe room) I’ll try to add solar shortly after the build. We considered a “Certified Passive House” But in the end the cost was a bit too much and the design restrictions we chose based on keeping the house cheaper to build resulted in a design my wife wasn’t happy with. #homesteading #permaculture #grownostr

We are finally building out on a little land we bought a couple years ago. Going to do the homesteading and permaculture thing. My goal is to support our home needs, with an eye towards slowly building up to a retirement gig as a seller of jams, jerky, wines, and vinegars. Thanks for the read and the thoughtful response. Yes I was imagining nukes would be transferred to the states or sold to the states and/or would breakdown over time without maintenance. I don’t know enough if that degrades safely just becomes inoperable or if without maintenance they become a risk. It’s a good question.

Does anyone have expierence with the heritage breed of Buckeye chickens?
I’m a year away from starting my flock, and I’m looking at heritage breeds. And I just kind of doubt that a breed of bird will have the same temperament and behaviors that seem to be common knowledge and repeated facts from source to source, without a breeder actively eliminating “bad” traits from the breeding flock constantly. And I doubt that large hatcheries are actually attempting to do that. For example Buckeyes are supposed to be strong self foragers. But how would that behavior be monitored and breed for without the chickens being in a situation where they are able to forage for themselves and those that do poorly are removed from the gene pool… so anyways anyone have actual experience with Buckeye’s how close do they come to their breeds description in behavior.

R can be, still a great place for open source implementations of ML techniques. And strong visualizations of data with ggplot2. Learn all the packages of the ‘tidyverse’. All good if you want a powerful toolkit for data analysis. I have been on data science teams that use R exclusively. I’ve never used power BI.

I’m just saying that The T cells which specifically protect you from cancer, were actually higher in the individuals suffering from PVS
The T cells which can specialize into a number of different things for different purposes, one of them being to also fight cancer, among other purposes include autoimmune regulation, bacterial infections, virus infections, parasites infections, etc., were higher in the group without PVS.
The fact that the immune system is complex and redundant is not a surprise to me. I don’t think I have seen evidence in the article you posted to say the people who were suffering from PVS had a reduced ability to fight cancer.
At best it’s a mixed bag of effects. With inconclusive outcomes to what their impact would be. And this was only measured in the population suffering from PVS it wasn’t measured on the general population that took the vaccine so saying the Covid vaccines cause the lowering of of white blood cells is too strong for the evidence in this article IMO.

The PVS group had lower CD4+ T cells which differentiate into several different kinds of cells which do a number of things according to chat GPT. My hunch is that PVS is a form of autoimmune disease caused by the immune system reacting to the spike protein in these cases caused by the vaccine. The symptoms being so close to “long COVID” my hunch is that “long COVID” is an autoimmune disease caused by the bodies immune response to the spike protein, in this case caused by the virus. But these are just my guesses.

1) The TSA is about 20 years old, eliminating them only means going back about 20 years. They didn’t need your chat history or biometrics 25 years ago they don’t need it now. 2) No data besides biometrics are required to authenticate the person is who they say they are from your list. My guess would be that labs would measure volume of the original sample, then use something like a centrifuge to isolate and concentrate the swimmers. Then sample the concentration and dilute it with a specific volume of fluid, to decrease the density to something that is finitely countable. Then count, and multiply by the appropriate volumes to get to a count that is average per ml of the sample.

I have not seen any reputable data that ivermectin reduces fertility, that being said, the fact that you have some swimmers under a scope doesn’t mean anything. You would need to count them on and off ivermectin. Low fertility is considered less than 15 million per ml.
