Now that #Amethyst is fully Tor-enabled, this will come up more. I can't quite put my finger on the exact combo, but it goes right through when I start switching Tor off for some of the relays.

If you can find them, try the Rojas Bluebonnet in the Marevas size. They're all Corojo from Ecuador and Nicaragua. The first time we tried them I w as sure they had some kind of flavor added. I've never had anything like it. It's just massively sweet with undertones of baking spice. The larger vitolas dilute the wrapper flavor, so that's why I suggest the little guy over the Robusto, Toro, etc.
If you want to try another Padron that stands out, the Family Reserve No. 45 is a flavor bomb. They come out of the gate with pepper, then fade to spice, then bitter chocolate, and something approaching cherry in the background.

It's about time for the IP reveal spam to come back. People need to get their privacy shit in order.
Big problems I see with #Nostr right now, that are all exploitable:
- Users don't know or understand how absolutely critical it is to protect their private key at all cost.
- Users don't know or understand about managing or self-hosting relays.
- Users don't know or understand what data/metadata their lightning/ecash wallets have, and will provide to anyone who asks.
- Users don't know or understand what data/metadata their relays have, and will provide to anyone who asks.
- Users don't know or understand what data/metadata their image hosting services have, and will provide to anyone who asks.
- Users don't know or understand about using Tor or a VPN to protect their IP address.
- Users don't know or understand which devices/clients will help them prevent any of the aforementioned issues.
Some of this isn't provided publicly, so it may not be possible for the average user to know these things. Also, I absolutely include myself in some of them, so this isn't some holier-than-thou bullshit. I'm just putting it out on the table for visibility.

Ever get sentimental about a thing that's made to be consumed? That's how I am about cigars. I just want to keep all these amazing, irreplaceable cigars forever. Unfortunately, they can have a time where the flavor is at a peak, and then they start to fall off into basically hot air.
The Tatuaje Mummy is starting to do that. These were part of the annual Halloween releases from Tatuaje. The sarcophagus "dress box" was limited to 666 (of course) total, but you could buy the same cigar in a regular box if you didn't get hit with the lucky stick. Today, some people will pay the price of a box of cigars for an EMPTY Mummy box. In any case, a friend gave me one of these cigars to smoke a while back, and they're beginning to get dull. It's time to be a cigar smoker, rather than a cigar collector. So I'm cracking open my dress box of Mummies and @nprofile…02q0 and I are going to smoke them.

The next one that hurts pretty bad is the La Palina Goldie Laguito Especial. This series was all rolled by one woman, Maria Sierra, until she retired in 2017. They were released in a different vitola each year in limited numbers. The rumor is that Maria Sierra spent about 30 weeks a year rolling only this cigar. This is the third release. Time to enjoy these, too.

If it's permanent, get a big one with low-loss cable. For walking around, I use the Rokland 2.5 dBi 8" antennas. They're tuned really well and the range is probably as good as it's going to get. They're thin and light, so they don't strain that SMA connector. In the end, though, altitude trumps antenna every time.

It's pretty robust. It has some weight to it for sure. The T-Echo is lighter and has a much smaller battery. I don't think either is really pocket-friendly. The WisMesh is easier to rig up to a bag or strap. It's more walkie-talkie shaped.

I believe you have to open the app to fully receive the transaction. Could be wrong. I don't know what the time limit is, if any. I haven't lost anything yet. On sending, sometimes Amethyst doesn't show the zap completing, but it's there on refresh. Clearing cache usually makes weirdness like that go away for me. Basically, I think it's all okay and normal, though.

Oh geez...trying not to sound too snobby, but most of what we'd call "natural" cigars don't do that. The tobacco has usually been grown, chosen, and blended very carefully to achieve a certain flavor profile, and adding sugar to the mix kind of ruins that. It can cause you to miss the natural sweetness that the tobacco can have, while also accentuating bitterness. That goes for sweetened food or drinks while you smoke, also. The one I mentioned is a pretty rare exception to that. It's done really carefully and tastefully so as to not clash with the natural flavors.
With a flavor-infused cigar, they do it to kind of pair with the overall flavor, in the way that we might enjoy caramel or chocolate in a sweetened coffee. We're not trying to meticulously analyze the coffee flavors, we're just enjoying our drink.
Generally, I just prefer natural cigars, so I lean away from any added stuff. It's all very personal. Some people drink Red Bull with a $40 cigar and they love it, so I say rock on.

There's not a lot better than a good cigar with coffee in the morning. If you like coffees from places like Ethiopia, the Sobremesa Brulee Blue makes a fantastic pairing. It has a sweetened cap, which I normally would avoid, but it goes really well with the coffee. They're great with lattes and cappuccino, also.

It will let you receive zaps, but you'll still need to send from somewhere else, unless something has changed recently. Minibits has a similar function for receiving because you get an address to put in your profile. Mine is set up this way. It also supports NWC, so it's kind of a 1 stop shop. It's all custodial ecash, though. Make sure you're okay with that. Otherwise look at Start9 or Alby Hub.

- receiving to @nprofile…c5ke, Minibits, or npub.cash while sending from my @nprofile…w0xz NWC using my own node
Everybody seems to really like @nprofile…qvd6 Hub for this, also, but I haven't tried it yet. All these seem to work. Just have to pick your favorite flavor.

Cigars allegedly don't hit the same. I've never smoked cigarettes, but I do know that I can skip cigars for a while without any cravings. I find that there's no stimulant effect for me; rather, it's more relaxing. I've read that this is all due to absorbing nicotine through the mouth vs. the lungs. The social and ritual aspect of cigars can be somewhat addictive, I think. Pipes have been the same as cigars, but much more...zen.
Coffee, on the other hand, is quite the ride.
