it cost me about $1300 to build 6 years ago, but tech and competition and availability has improved so you could do it for probably $800 now just using off the shelf Amazon LiFePo4 batteries. I imported the cells directly from China at the time.
I don’t know that i would do it the same way now, having lived completely offgrid for a few years. Id probably build more distributed. Instead of one central battery, several smaller batteries that only feed specific uses, and have them trickle charge off of a main battery which is dedicated to that purpose. More repairable, less chance of complete power failure. if you lose one, you can still limp by until that one is repaired or replaced.

Path was great. This is actually a fantastic idea for a nostr app. Could be amazing for keeping in touch with friends and family— one of the original best uses for social media before it became the upside down.
Ramping up prep work for the next sculpture..
This will be another ₿ but made from epoxy and all the cutoffs from my other sculpture. Not sure how it will turn out but it’s worth trying rather than throwing away all the leftover stone.
But the epoxy has to wait a bit. First I have to trim and do some light sanding on all the cutoffs…

Since I fenced my property so my dog roams and the deer are NOT walking around there are no ticks. They are the prime mover of the little bastards and the less deer travel the less ticks. If you can get ahold of a huge load of wood chips (call some local tree guys), throw about 6" layer chips on top of the fabric over that entire area. Wait a year, pull up the fabric, rake everything flat and then do it again. Literally the only way to kill the stuff is snuff it out longer term. Looks like you've got a good start! GL~!

There are huge holes in the theory of gravity, the main one is forces going in opposite directions when you "drop" an object ( bouancy ) but also there is no evidence of acceleration when objects supposedly fall. You misread my statement. If the purchasing power of the dollar and bitcoin fall at the same rate, then btc/USD stays the same. It's a tautologically, but a different way to look at it.
Bitcoiners are used to 20% swings. Wallstreet traders jumps out of a window if they see 10% swings. Bessent said expect a 20% hit on the market, that means expect a 50% hit overall because they are rewiring the money printers for 600Hz power.

He's saying there is only one fundamental force, rather than 4. Weak and strong nuclear forces and gravity are all attributes of magnetism and electricity. There is no 'spacetime'. That is what is used to try and explain gravity and the bending of light.

A factor driving the trade war (or at minimum indirectly benefiting from it) is the looming refinancing "wall" faced by the US, with approx $14 trillion in federal debt maturing over the next three years.

In January, 10-year Treasury rates hit 4.8% — these rates would have meant high interest expenses from debt refinancing (compared to the last decade). Cue, the trade war. It's indirectly influencing debt refinancing in 2 ways:
1. Flight to Safety: Heightened economic uncertainty tends to push global investors toward safe haven assets, like US treasuries. And increased demand for Treasuries drives down yields lower
2. Economic Slowdown: prolonged trade conflict can create global economic concerns, causing central banks (incl. the Fed) to reconsider rate hikes & even implement rate cuts, reducing borrowing costs further
And viola, with the chaos of the trade war, the 10-year Treasury yield dropped below 4% today. Lower 10-year yields mean lower future refinancing costs, helping the US gov manage its refinancing wall. But, this is a piece in solving for the massive debt puzzle.

There's an alternative — or parallel — path to manage interest payments without inciting market chaos: Bitcoin-backed bonds.
In a new Bitcoin Policy Institute report, Andrew Hohn & @nprofile…mgt6 propose "Bitcoin-Enhanced Treasury Bonds." They recommend that 90% of bond proceeds finance standard gov operations or refinance existing debt, & 10% be allocated toward acquiring Bitcoin to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. By issuing these bonds at a significantly lower interest rate—such as 1% compared to current rates—the gov can substantially cut its debt-servicing expenses. Furthermore, considering Bitcoin’s historical performance, BitBonds have the potential to considerably reduce or even eliminate the federal debt burden over time.
Adopting Bitcoin-enhanced bonds could thus offer the US a financial advantage, aligning debt management with a new era of fiscal and monetary policy.

After I had my account suspended I realized the argument for free speech from the highest position of bank lending is non sequitur. The narrative is the master of traditional markets. That being said, Believing in your own bullshit is how all those terrible strange outcomes happen. Opportunity is a bird perched on the falling tree of disaster. Those who make opportunities out of crisis are the ones most prosperous, And plenty of people destroy themselves saying things they do or don’t mean or understand. I do believe people have the right to be wrong, But it is each person’s responsibility to accept when they are wrong.
