If you cannot even afford a smartphone, or are not allowed because your are a kid for example, you can get boltcards for 2-5$ (custodial) until you can run your own node.

You're funny. If one person withdraw, it doesn't prove anything, if 50% of all BTC are withdraw at once, it proves you have at least 50% of it, if 80% withdraw, it proves at least 80%.
The only way to prove it that way is that 100% of all BTC of all customers are withdraw all at once. And this would need to be repeated at random interval to prove it really.
There must be a way to prove the reserve otherwise self-custody is the only viable solution.

While everyone is shilling, I'm like: still more than 15% to surpass ATH in my local currency, CHF.
USD is the mother of shitcoin, we should stop comparing BTC with fiat in general, or just to show hoe these shitcoins are tanking.

I have seen an idea for another time locked recovery path concept that doesn't require renewal. The idea was to share presigned transaction, to use a recovrey you broadcast the transaction, which will trigger an on-chain even that start the time lock count-down. X blcoks after the first recovery transactions is broadcasted, the recovery path will be able to sign another transaction to withdraw the BTC to another wallet unless the person who control the original path move the BTC away before the timelock expire.
It's like a deadman Bitcoin switch.
This need machines activeley monitoring the blockchain (or you put a reminder to manually check at shorter interval than the time lock, like once per year if the timelock is 65'000 blocks.
However I don't remember where I saw this concept and if someone is working on it or not.

We need more Product Manager on Bitcoin to bring UX requierment and product roadmap. I'm one myself but it looks like we are not welcome at Bitcoin projects and even Bitcoin companies. Most of the time, one of higher persons, usually CTO or CEO like position, will try to cover this part but it's a full time job that need skills and experiences.
Also private industries are paying Product Manager so well, that's hard to move to such projets, beside a side hobby. And even so, it's hard to get a place.

Beside the crazy price, what is the people problem with bathroom, who needs 5 bathroom for 4 bedrooms? Let's say it's a 5 persons family libing there (most probably 4 but let's assume) will these 5 persons all go to piss, shit and shower within the exact same 15min?! 90% of the time bathroom are unused space. Maybe if I find a dev and start such project on the side. I was also thinking about money caution in BTC for rental using the same principle.
What bother me a bit is the maxium time lock limitation, I know it has nothing to do with Liana but I think 13-14 months is not enough for such use case, you don't want ask both party to sign a transaction every 6-8 months but you still need a long enough time in the escrow phase with a last path long time away that allow even more recovery options.

If you have Bitcoin and spend 6% per year for your living expense, you should end up with more fiat equivalent than any yield on a ticker that lose more than 6% value vs BTC. That's not so hard to understand.
BTC is the yield, BTC is the passive income. Don't be afraid to use it and spend in BTC.

In Switzerland the scam is different but it's still a scam in a way.
Every housing is overvaluated by a factor 2 to 4 (depending on the demand in your area), because mortgage is low, 1 to 2% long term, it was even below 1% for 10 years fixed rate 5-6 years ago. You can use your retirement money to fund the mortgage and if you have a high income you only need 10% additional downpayment.
Also you are incentivized to have a mortgage as high as possible because you get tax reduction and as we have a wealth tax, all your debt is deduced from you wealth, so you can pay much less wealth tax (even if it's usually less than 1%).
Then there the fact that you never need ro reimburse your mortgage, one you paid back 60%, you can stop paying back and just pay the interest on the rest for life.
So the highest your income, the higher debt you can take, so more you can keep to invest, and beating 2% return is not that hard in stock market. So basically you get free additional income for being rich and owning a house.
The result is that the prices are crazy high, as people need only 10-15% down payment in most cases, they csn buy house they would not be able to afford. Almost nobody pay a house in full and if you do you are loosing money. On top of the in area with high demande, price of housing increase faster, which push people to pay even more as they think they will anyway sell it for more in the future if needed.
So the scam is not what you pay as interest, like where you have 5-8% interest (or more) but the fake high price you have to pay to really own your place.
I really wish Bitcoin break this circle, make real estate not profitable as an investment, at least much less and much more risky than Bitcoin. Buying would get more affordable as only people would want to leave in the house would consider buying. Which would eventually relief pressure on rent for those who cannot afford to buy anyway and allowing to save more (in Bitcoin) to maybe buy later if you wish.

I still think the best for a normal single user is hardware wallet with a mnemonic phrase (12 words) + passphrase + PIN ro unlock. You must memorize the PIN to use it but can rexcover without it. Try to memorize the passphrase and save a physical copy in a remote offline location in case you really forget it.
It's also good practice to save the wallet information like derivation path and xpub.
Then from this main strong mnemonic passphrase+password you can derive deterministic BIP-39 wallet for other usages, hot wallet, lightning node or just as encryption password for important stuffs, even maybe derive your nsec for nostr out of one of these sub-mnemonic phrase. Just note well the derivation path and index and use case of each, like in a password manger (without the private keys of course), then you can regenerate all you wallets from one backup+passphrase but individual sub-wallet can never derive back to the master wallet.
Advance users and multiple users of a wallet must use multisign. Use it carefully, with the right hardware wallet and always backup the wallet descriptor with all individual xpub of co-signer, multiple copies are OK, just don't leak it otherwise anyone can track all your transactions past and future (bur never steal your coins).

I never understood the hate for other coins and project among some Bitcoiners.
We can think that Bitcoin is more interesting, more valuable, better on that and that points. But why the need to trash the others that don't believe that (yet), it brings absolutely nothing. It will just push more people away from adopting Bitcoin as they don't want to be associated with this mentality and negativity.
It's ok to joke or meme on some funny situation but wishing a fundation, with people working and many companies and project depending on it (thanks the centralization), to get liquidated, is quite harsh.
