I'd rather have less taxes too, but I do also think tarifs at least somewhat make sense, given how they play into the incentive to strengthen local peoduction.
something like income tax makes no sense to me at all, where he incentive is basically to work/earn less (or find some other loop hole)
all that said, i still think it is just another sneaky way to raise taxes, at least midterm, given how intertwined supply chains are
