if relays provided http interface for html rendered notes, traditional search engines would be able to index nostr
however this also provides major legal risk for same reason
in theory there should be no legal difference whether some content is available through websocket or http, but in practice there is.
nobody wants to provide direct domain access to html rendered web content with questionable legal status
at the same time, it is much more okay to provide same content through websocket, where client has to use javascript or downloadable app to render it in same format as html would have done.
current implementation of nostr provides zero visibility on traditional http based search engines, which is a major bottleneck for nostr adoption

Nostr should fragment. It should be small communities. It should be a relay for your family and another for the block you live on and another for your kids kindergarten and another for local news and so on.
On top of that we should each have 10-20-50-100 identities; I don’t want my poker playing identity attached to my block identity and I don’t want that identity attached to my political rantings etc.
Expect nostr to grow and centralise first before splitting and devolving into a hydra to avoid capture.
People will be using nostr and bitcoin with no idea that they’re using either - they’ll just know it’s the only way to communicate without bot spam and being gulaged for wrongthink.

client support for pow filter is very simple to implement
pow is simply id filter:

where one zero equals to 4 bits of pow
i tried with coracle filter feature, but it doesnt support this. it seems it does client side filtering of events after getting correct response from server
if client does exact id match verification against results of this query it ofc does not work.

The problem with shitcoiners is they don’t understand the problem - if they did, they wouldn’t be shitcoiners.
The problem was always the money; Bitcoin is the only thing that can solve it. Everything else is a distraction.
The problem nostr solves for is a permissioned internet, this is a much newer problem compared to the money but it should be clear to anyone who understands how the money got broken.
We don’t need a token to solve that and that’s the first resort of everyone with the shitcoiner mindset so they won’t get it. We need to put permissionless identity first and decentralise data transfers.
Everyone fucking around with Blockchain for a decade missed the power of public/private keypairs in other contexts.

How is Bitcoin gonna be a medium of exchange with transaction speeds of 7 tps? Not starting shit, just want an open debate, honest answers.
Seems like big institutions are starting to understand BTC and now we have politicians starting to take notice. When we say get 25 percent adoption, 40 percent adoption. What happens when the chain becomes consistent congested.
Are they going to have the knowledge and patience to understand what’s going on or will they give up on BTC, thus damaging its long term reputation? One bad initial experience could have ripple effects where they tell their friends and family etc..

It really shines in group messaging for me. We moved our Bitcoin meetup chat to a group on there and it makes it very easy to manage. That's the biggest thing that isn't possible yet in Amethyst that I regularly use. It's the perfect replacement for Telegram/Matrix/Discord groups.
Plus they're one of the only apps to support NIP-100 audio rooms. If nostrnests ever updates to NIP-100 you'd be able to join rooms straight from your 0xchat.

Why are moral obligations negative though? Your moral compass helps guide you in the direction to help someone whether mutually beneficial or not. Sure you may get a quick dopamine hit, but other than that helping people isn't always beneficial to both parties.
One could argue your harvest reaping as evil though. That was my previous point that I probably didn't communicate well, I'm a bit smooth brained. I'm not God so I don't think I could bring myself to do that because of my morality. However, if my family were in trouble then I'm certain I would be truly capable of a scorched earth policy on those who threaten them. This is where the "it depends" comes into play.

Cloaked is just meh. A very slick UI and I like that you can spin up unlimited profiles (one per account) but their privacy policy has some parts that don’t give me warm and fuzzies. The built in password manager is just ok, other existing ones are far better. Including data removal services is a good idea but not sure how robust that it is. Finally you cannot text or call from any of the VOIP numbers on WiFi or hotspot without a SIM card which is an option I want.
I really like their all in one app idea but none of them are done particularly well the execution of calling your contacts by a different number and then they have a different number for you just gets confusing. I think it would be good for some people who go to different venues and are constantly meeting new people or someone who needs infinite disposable numbers because even a compartmentalized one being compromised is too big a risk.
If you are interested in compartmentalization of your digital identity I think MySudo is a good option for most people. If you just want to try out some burner emails without phone numbers that is free. I feel constrained that you are limited to only 9 working VOIP numbers for their biggest plan but honestly that is probably fine if you’re using broad categories. One for friends and family, one for accounts tied to your identity - banking, medical, utilities, one for online accounts, another for junk, shopping, etc. And I tested it and it works just fine without a SIM card even on multiple devices.
A reminder that only MySudo to MySudo communication is encrypted, otherwise it’s just a regular call / text. I like other encrypted communication apps better but it’s not its primary purpose but could be useful if a lot of your friends and family are using it.
