If we’re past the local Bitcoin bottom, here is my low IQ take n what that means:
For the current supply/demand balance, introverted-net-producer-millennials, Saylor et al and early adopters of the ETF’s can support a market bottom above $80k. Smart institutional money is DCAing in and creating a persistent bid without hype. The next hype cycle if we get one is real estate owning boomers responding to politically driven news and aping into the ETFs. That means we’re likely near a short term top for self custody and sovereign individual usage. More will come as fiat degrades but they are going to miss out on the gains of the early adopters. The 2013-2016 class is about to graduate from upper middle class to politically influential. (Please use your new power wisely). The 2017-2021 class is about to graduate to “should we buy our dream house or keep holding”.

I’ve been to Beijing and Shanghai. Haven’t seen the rest of the country so it’s a very small sample size but this cities don’t feel crowded the way Mexico City and Mumbai and Dheli do. Those are all places with super high birth rates.

Let me make sure I understand the plan:
1. Capture as much of the western hemisphere as you can to secure low cost industrial inputs to keep inflation under control.
2. Pump money into mortgage backed securities, ban institutions from SFH, 50 year mortgages and deport the bottom end of the rental market to take pressure off low income housing.
3. Tie the tariff policy to stimmie checks to bring the bottom tax bracket on sides against the courts if necessary.
4. Capture all the Bitcoin you can along the way

I have to take a stupid government required online training every three years to keep up with one of the regulations imposed on my business. It requires I spend 14 hours in the program and they log you out for inactivity. The actual content takes a couple of hours at most but you can’t take the test until you’ve done the time. Which means sitting here clicking “still active” and clicking around on irrelevant information for 2 days. I am not ok.

I think Venezuela and Greenland are tacit admissions that we can’t win a war against Russia and China. We still have the ability to project power in our own degraded hemisphere. Canada, Columbia, Cuba and Mexico are on notice. I doubt we pick a fight with Brazil but we will try to box them in.

Yes, talk to your bank and local regional banks about factoring your invoices. You basically sell them your AR for a percentage. They pay you now and the clients have to send their payment to the bank instead of you. It comes off a little shifty to customers who will get contacted by the AR team to reroute payments but if you communicate it in advance and explain why you’re doing it most clients will understand. Alternatively you can offer 1%net5net30 terms to your customer where they get a discount for paying you early. Often cheaper than factoring and works great if your partners are cash heavy. You can change the numbers to whatever makes sense for your business (5%net0net30 for example).

The only bad thing about 2025 was Bitcoin didn’t do what I expected. Otherwise, what a year!
- closed a line of business that was a drag on the company
- hired a VP of Sales and expanded the part of our business that’s thriving
- set up a foreign corp and got my family residency abroad
- said good bye to our dog who was very old and tired
- welcomed two cats into our family
- bought a new house
- kids doing great in school, with friends and at home
- wife and I continue with habit of taking long walks together and focusing on each other
- learned so much about so many different subjects
- got a paddle board that fits the whole family and spent time on the water
- sold an RV we never used
- made progress on healing an old injury

I run an import/distribution business dealing in raw materials used by various industries. I am agnostic if I buy from overseas or domestic sources all other factors being equal. Imports are still highly competitive on some products including from China even after paying the tariffs. I don’t know of a single new factory being built and most of our domestic suppliers are complaining about under utilized plants and lowering prices to incentivize us to move product for them. Nothing is in short supply and prices are moving sideways/down.

I’m getting FOMO for Silver. I’m disciplined enough not to chase the rabbit, but I feel the urge. When Bitcoin maxis start feeling FOMO for other forms of “hard money”, you know things are about to rip.
