Found myself in a loop.
My wrist hurts, because I skipped some days with pushups, and then did 300 pushups in a row doing/trying groups of 40, because that was my progression level.
But now I also skipped for 3 days to rest my wrists, but I have to do 300 again.

What is email privacy?
Email is generally not a private service, because by default, emails are sent in plain text, not encrypted, therefore, not only you and the recepient, but the email provider of both sides can read the content. Also all read content could be used for profiling.
The main problem is, that you can be target of this, even if you have a private mail provider.
How?
When someone sends you an email, their email provider can connect the content to your email address. If other of their users will send email to you, they can also use them.
So if you want to opt out, it is not enough, to use a private email provider.
Also you shall know, that if someone sends you an unencrypted email, even if your provider says, they encrypt your emails, they will have a time window when they still can profile or read your email content.
So you shall be okay with the possibility, that they can read all your emails.

If you care about your privacy and want to convert scanned documents into docx, odt format, you can easily do it with a small python script;
1️⃣ Scan it into pdf or image
2️⃣ If pdf, use "pdf2image" python library to convert it to image
3️⃣ Use "pytesseract" library to OCR the content on the image
4️⃣ Save it in a file
5️⃣ Copy content by hand from file to word docx/odt
6️⃣ Format
I know it is not perfect, but at least with a small DIY, you can turn your scanned docs into word without buying an app, uploading your private files to a webservice, etc.

I am not sure how everyone with it, but there are days, when I skip a pushup day.
But then the next day I compensate by doing the previous and current day.
Doing 2 times the 100 pushup is harder, than doing it once, so it compensates for the lack in my opinion.
At the end, I do all do pushups for the ellapsed days, and I progress, so I achieve my goal with it.
Don't get sad and stop the 100 pushups completely. Just compensate and continue!

What is the best way to generate keys for users to login to an app?
Usecases:
- User want to try the app with a new keys, not with his original keys
- Users without keys can start to use the app easily
What is the best way to support these 2?
I guess for the first, I can make a throwaway key, and the user will only use it once to test, then they can use their keys with their signer device/app.
But I don't really want to store private keys even in the user's browser locally if possible. I am perfectly fine not touching the keys, only getting the signed outputs and his npub.

Definitely. Alias is for increasing privacy, so we need strong guarantees.
The current plan for increasing privacy:
1️⃣ Open-source, so you can verify the code
2️⃣ Emails are stored as Private DMs, so encrypted
3️⃣ Your data is stored on nostr, so you can anytime move
I see 2 biggest problems now:
1️⃣ Smtp receives the emails in plain text
2️⃣ If your private key is compromised, your email history is compromised
The 2️⃣nd is a general nostr problem, so probably we get to use a solution, or I will think about one, if the base is ready.
The 1️⃣st seems kind of the toughest on the trust side, because you have to trust the smtp server relaying your mails onto nostr. As the rest is already happening behind private messaging/data storage on nostr.
I want to solve first the 1️⃣st problem.
Until that, if I release, source code can be verified, and smtp code will be small, so easy to verify.
Also I don't plan to read/associate or scan emails. This means spam filtering has to be solved on the user side, as usual on nostr. And because smtp code will be small, it will be easy for you to verify that no reading or so happening there.
But I want to minimize the trust further, but not yet know how. Maybe somehow I shall host the smtp servers for the users, therefore, they always control how their emails are relayed.

Don't you think that nostr at the moment is relatively unsafe in a way, that if your privkey is leaked, every of your data is leaked?
Scattered layout is nice, but if every relay "protects" your data with one key, then it is not that safe.
So I think we still need a key management to solve this problem, then we are good to go.
