I have personally noticed a drop off in engagement although I don’t know that I can link it to the price of Bitcoin for me at least. The drop in engagement for me might be partly because I hadn’t been posting here as much as I did in the earlier days and I also hadn’t been engaging as much myself. It might also just be because people don’t find what I post interesting.
I’ve also noticed that without algorithms on Nostr it can be very sensitive to exactly when I post something as to whether people actually see it. Reposting can help but I try to avoid annoying people with too many reposts
I’m trying to focus more on Nostr again, posting more frequently on more topics. I’ve also been cleaning up my following list and have been trying to find new, active and interesting people to follow which has helped give more visibility of content that I want to see.

By "dud relay" I meant a relay specified in the key's relay list which isn't accepting notes, either because the key isn't authorized or there's something wrong with the relay and it's rejecting all messages. Looking at it more deeply, it's possible it's just any relay that requires authorization, so if you have one or more of them on your relay list than that might be what's causing the Amber not found message.

I'll try to zap in Amethyst, and that little purple wheel of death spins to the 11 o'clock position and just freezes. No error message generated, and no indication of transaction in the wallet. You're welcome, I've been working on NIP-55 integration for a while so I'm always interested in these edge cases. I think the issue lies in the bogus hex key that Amber generates from the empty npub string. It needs more testing with various pubkeys combinations, but changing the null check in Amber fixes the problem for me. I'm happy to raise an issue, the bug is easily reproducible with the right test keys, the only question is which repo - Pokey, Amber or both?
pumps & dumps are done by marketmakers to fleece retail/ as whether good on not is your point of advantage. imho i get a little irritated with marketmakers taking advantage of retail, myself.

Digging deeper, it seems to be related to the npub being sent by Pokey to Amber in the "current_user" Intent field for Relay auth. Pokey is sending an empty string which Amber is converting to a hex string and signing the Auth event with, which in turn is being rejected by the Relay, which causes the error. At least *I think so* - because debugging IPC is complicated! When I change the null check in Amber to be isNullOrEmpty() then the error goes away.

App is looking great and a lot of interesting features. Though I don’t really understand how to use the ‘Verify Notes’ section.
While all the features are cool, for day to day use it is difficult to use since I always have to see replies. My feed is cluttered with them and they make no sense (so many replies to notes from people I don’t follow) and I don’t want to go into each and everyone one to see what they’re about. Having the option of choosing “Notes” or “Notes + Replies” in the feed would really help.

但沦陷区的民众可以向何处去？
台湾。
我指的不是现实中的台湾，我指的是在帝国崩溃后的战略局势下，以台湾为模仿对象塑造自身的那些新兴国家。
一个个“小台湾” ，一个个在经济、内政、外交方面尽可能模仿台湾、向台湾目前的成就靠拢的新兴小国，就是沦陷区民众最现实同时也最理想的归宿。
在我眼中，未来是清晰的，通向未来的道路也是清晰的。
在中共帝国因中央在习近平的“亲自指挥”下输掉与地方的资源争夺战，因中央的权威和控制力衰弱而崩溃后，中华沦陷区必然进入各地方不但事实上分治，也开始追求名义上的分离的局面。
在这个时候，长期保持着事实上的分治分离状态的台湾，当然不会错过千古一时的良机，寻求与欧美列国的外交关系正常化，恢复自己在国际社会中应有的地位。
台湾一定会这么做，也一定会成功。理由我相信不必过多的解释。
但台湾的成功，会开启一个后来者可以遵循的先例。
同样从曾经叫“中国”的区域分离出来，目前在事实上处于分治或者说自治状态的地方政治实体，完全有理由做与台湾一样的事，并取得与台湾一样的收益——得到国际法保护，从此国家命运不必受“被统一”的阴影笼罩，自家内政决策可以不受中央掣肘，经济发展也不必被名义上属于同一国，但观念、风俗相差甚远的“同胞”们扯后腿。
我相信，藏人和维吾尔人绝不会放过这次独立建国的机会，即使达赖喇嘛一直表态说他寻求的是“自治”，但在时机适当的情况下他也会尊重民意，接受独立的结果。
对沿海诸省的民众来说，独立并将本省建设成一个类似台湾的东亚小国的收益是巨大的。人们收获的将不仅仅是立即得到加强的自身安全，还有凭借中共国改开时期打好的工业基础和对外贸易关系，迅速将本省建设成比“世界工厂”规模小得多但威胁也小得多的“世界车间”，恢复经济、恢复岗位、恢复收入的机会，还有在少了中共中央的盘剥后，本地政府为保持现代国家的国家形象只能顺水推舟促成的制度转型，和因制度转型，统治者必须顾忌民意而增加的各种权利和福利保障。
但对统治者们来说，收益也同样是巨大的。不论过去是什么身份，当你在发展中的“小台湾”成为建国者，并在继任者的一举一动都会受到欧美列强、周边邻国的监督，受到已经建成的民主法治规则制约的环境里卸任，你自身和家人的安全就都能得到基本保证，同时，你在过程中积累的资历，也会成为你自己和你的后代未来在新时代从政从商的政治资本，就象蒋经国的后人在台湾、李家的后人在新加坡从商从政时可以凭借的家族政治资本。
有很多人误以为，当过中共的官之后就没有人会愿意做民主国家的政府官员了。但这些人只看到了在中共体制内享受特权的“好”，却没有考虑到有真才实学的人，有能力解决问题的人，通常不会以财、色为人生唯一追求，更不会愿意为自己可在其他行业凭才华技术清清白白赚到的金钱和社会地位承担巨大且非必要的政治风险。
会把特权视为世间最值得追求的事物的人，眼皮子浅、无能、无知，是大概率活不过乱世，主导不了后续局势的。
在乱世中大浪淘沙幸存下来的英雄人物，未来沦陷区各个“小台湾”的建国者们，则必定有真才实学，有眼光有见识，有解决问题的能力，且务实肯干。
当台湾抓住时机实现了国家地位正常化、外交关系正常化，当藏人、维吾尔人循台湾先例，在欧美日韩台为防帝国死灰复燃给出的倾力支持下实现独立，沦陷区各地方势力的主事人，当然会审时度势，带领本族本地民众走上对自己最有利也最可行的建国之路。
而他们打造的一个个“小台湾”，会是沦陷区民众可以安身立命安居乐业的乐土。
真正的台湾将对这样的局面乐见其成，会鼓励、协助邻近区域的建国者们顺利完成其国家建构。
因为诸小国的国家建设越顺利，国家地位越稳固，台湾作为一个仅有两千三百万人口的东亚小国，与他们平等的国家地位也就越安全稳固。
而台湾越安全，全球芯片产业基地越安全，欧美列国也就越安全。
对不想被以习近平为首的中共中央吸尽最后一滴血的地方势力来说，促成帝国崩溃并在帝国崩溃后的沦陷区打造“小台湾”，是一条因为会“得道多助”而性价比最高的道路，其他的路并不是不可以走，但艰难险阻会多得多。

They all get paychecks from the Federal Government and those paychecks are denominated in Fiat Currency which is about as arbitrary and devaluing as you can get so no matter who is doing what they still worship fiat currency and it's invisible inflation, devaluation process. Unless there is an executive branch that will recognize Bitcoin and mandate it's metered use ( a use based on the finite maximum denominator of 21,000,000).

pro tip: do not take cheap multivitamins.
either take the best or none at all.
any "one pill a day" vitamin is trash.
good vitamins are at least 6 pills a day. the ones i used to take were 14 pills a day but later changed the formula to 12 pills. you're much better off taking 1/4 dose of 12 pill a day multi than full dose of 1 pill a day. it will be far more balanced and far higher quality nutrients.
my multi was also available as just powder, which was my preference - it was citrus flavored and i could mix it into fruit flavored protein shake. syntrax nectar protein has some great flavor options for this, though for regular protein use it is way too expensive and vanilla or chocolate are much more economical.
but you can't mix citrus flavored vitamin powder with vanilla or chocolate flavored protein.

1.面对寒冷的续航里程问题。

这就是目前技术条件下的客观局限性。

2.电池的老化问题。
车里最贵的部分就是电池。
现在车企承诺一定年限，里程内包换。
换的可不是新的，过范围老化了又坏了呢？

这些都不是不存在的成本。
就像折旧，很多做小生意的没这概念。
几年做下来，感觉应该赚的，实际却亏了，亏就亏在折旧上。
3.保值差。
油车不同车型保值性不同，不过至少比绝大多数电车保值。
现在相当部分电车二手都没人要，连二手车商都不愿意收，就是因为之前砸手里亏怕了，这玩意保值性太差，更别说增值了。
以全周期去算，省的那点电费，算上卖的时候很低的剩余价值，真不见得比油车便宜。
而全球的角度，很多国家电费不便宜，那就更不划算了。
如果遇上个油比水便宜，出门必开空调的国家，怎么和油车抢市场？

When I first started recording guitar driven songs, I would just have a click track in my headphones when I played the guitar parts. And since the drum parts weren’t super complicated (just a repeating drum part for the verses, chorus and bridge with a couple of fills), I just used some free drum software for the click track and the whole drum part. Then deleted the click track at the end. It was more precise than I was on drums. I was using such an unsophisticated system I had to play all of the guitar parts in a single continuous take. It was all done with direct line input into a Pentium II PC from a Peavey practice amp with no effects pedals. Just overdrive from the amp. Here’s a sample. It’s pretty repetitive but the solo that starts at 1:58 was pretty decent.

Devs like YakiHonne are making long-form articles easier to create and promote which will encourage creators to make nostr their home. Nostr is a work in progress, and the more we can do to encourage and lift people up, the better it will be for us all. I'm not really sure what the point is of pointing out correlations between some external factor and levels of engagement, but it doesn't move the ball forward. Positivity and encouragement are the way to growth.
This kind of note does not help nostr. It makes people feel used like an object for the betterment of some protocol goal. Everyone is doing great. I thought I was taking crazy pills. I was scouring the site for like a half hour trying to figure out how to redeem the damn token. Lol Instead of a button that says "Redeem token", they have a button that's "Swap", which isn't helpful if you're trying to redeem. But it's in that swap function that the message about not accepting outside mints appears. So, maybe an update to some of links and button labels would be good, in addition to actually allowing outside mints to be redeemed.

Ok, so apparently the ability to redeem ecash tokens from "outside" mints is "coming soon". I think that means that only ecash minted by Coinos.io's mint can be redeemed. Which is dumb because why would I be redeeming ecash minted by coinos.io into my coinos.io account? Unless I've received that ecash from another coinos.io user, I'm basically SOL. Hopefully they get that squared away sooner than later.

The inflation rate just fell for the 6th consecutive month. The perception of the situation doesn't exactly match the reality. The fact is we live in an inflationary economy, and inflation is normal, expectated aspect. There's still work to be done, especially in sectors like food, and transportation, but it's simply not true that we're in some runaway inflation. And the notion that we can end inflation is absurdity that's being sold by politicians as a way of getting elected. Such a thing has no basis in fact.

Some of it has been verified, but due to the nature of his military and government employment, some of it is locked up tight in the cloak of national security. It's been verified that he was a counterintelligence officer in the military. He did "work" in Afghanistan and Iraq, and he did interrogations at Gitmo.
It's also been verified that he ran the AATIP program (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) for the DoD. That was the program that was responsible for the three video clips that were all over the NY Times back in 2017. Beyond that, nothing about him is independently verified.

it’s a destructive cycle, and it’s not about opposing wealth itself. Smart entrepreneurs who innovate and create real value should get wealthier. But when money isn’t tied to real value, governments can print endlessly, fueling inflation, devaluing savings, and funding endless wars. This benefits those with access to government contracts and financial manipulation, not those who create genuine wealth. Real change means a return to sound values with sound monetary and fiscal policies, so wealth flows to creators, not to those exploiting a broken system and defending it.
Ok, but is there some push to reestablish the accuracy of NIP-11 reporting in relay servers? For the time being, it's not a problem to contact relay operators to ask them what their server supports, but that's not sustainable longterm.

Nip-11 is irrelevant. You shouldn't do anything based on it at this point. Just talk to your relay operator. They will tell you if they support or not.
So many people just added algo relay to their relay list, if you did this please remove it

If it supports NIP-17 but it's not showing up in the NIP-11 info document, I'd say that's a problem that needs to be resolved. When important components are left out of date and inaccurate, it forms the basis of the network's demise. If a server supports a particular NIP, it should be accurately reflected in the NIP-11 document.

Isn't the NIP-11 document automatically generated based on the specific configuration of the relay server?
Haven also supports NIP-17 (it doesn't show up in the metadata but it does accept GiftWrapped messages).
That's just old info from their relays... No relay operator ever changes that information.
If you click on the relays in the Amethyst relay list, it shows which NIPs the relay supports. Neither show NIP-17 as one of the NIPs they support. The NIP-11 info document for those relays also do not indicate support for NIP-17.

If you want on-chain, lightning, and lightning address, Speed Wallet is the only choice. Just be cautious about putting large sums of coin into Speed Wallet because the custodial nature. I'm also keeping my eye on Coinos.io. They've got some issues to work out, but it's got the potential to be a excellent wallet option.
Yeah, the lack of LN address is a deal-breaker for use with nostr. I'm just trying out Minibits, it's very nice. But as you said, no on-chain yet. I'm sure it's coming soon though, as integrating boltz swaps is quite straightforward I believe.
This is a great idea. It would be awesome if you put that behind a web app so that anyone with a web browser could build their optimized relay list.
It doesn't provide a lightning address (user@appname.com), unfortunately. That's the one feature it's missing. It just works with standard lightning invoices. But its combined ability to transact on both lightning and chain networks, and its seamless, transparent lightning node functionality makes it a great foundation wallet to base your funds out of. Combined with Minibits, or Speed Wallet if you don't care about NWC, it's a great option.
Of course, Speed Wallet also transacts on both lightning and on-chain, and it provides a lightning address, so that may be a more attractive option for Nostr users.
The only thing that bothers me about Speed Wallet is that it's 100% custodial, so you're relying entirely on the Speed Wallet company to responsibly hold your funds. With Breez it's self-custodial so you get a 12-word seed phrase that you can use to restore your wallet if necessary. No such thing with Speed. If something goes wrong, you have to email support and hope they do the right thing.

Here’s another good example for wallet splits and live video. We used a 1% wallet split to light up this 48” disco ball back in April. Another 1% split was used to power a scoreboard. 1% splits allowed us to relay boosts in IRC and in a video overlay.

I don't have the timestamp problem with v0.0.3-alpha. And since v0.0.3-alpha doesn't authenticate with Amber (other than to pull the npub), there's no process that triggers the "Amber not installed" toast.

No, my timestamps are fine although I saw some other people had the timestamp issue. I think it's two distinct and unconnected issues. But as much as I'm sad that you're having trouble with Pokey, I'm a little glad I'm not the only one who's having this problem with the Amber authentication failing. @nprofile…vh28 here's another user who's having that problem with Pokey v0.0.4-alpha not authenticating with Amber, and the "Amber not installed" toast.

I really don't think the problem is with Amber because Amber works just fine with literally every other app. The only other issue I had with Amber was with using bunker with Ditto. And you helped me resolve that. I strongly suspect the problem lies with Pokey, or with the communication between Amber and Pokey.

Just doing some quick debugging and I think it's related to relay authorization/subscribing, when I add a key that has some dud relays on its relay list I get the following errors in Logcat (the same number as dud relays):

And if you leave that website open, it will continuously monitor the network for new relays, and update the response times of each. It's a really good tool for picking the best relays. You can also click on each relay in the list and it will pull up a detail page where it shows you the various capabilities for each relay.

I've heard nothing but good things about Damus. But since it's iOS only, I haven't been able to try it myself. There's a website that lists all the relays, but you have to do some investigation to figure out the right relay for the right purpose. But if Damus doesn't give you the option of defining specific types of relays, your best option is to use the configured defaults. There's no need to get in the weeds with different types of relays if your client doesn't give the ability to define different types.

Those headaches are the worst. Could be a combo of everything, a detox and reset. I’ve found in the past that a daily dose or two of trace minerals helps ease those side effects.
It is less intensely sweet. Perhaps more earthy, where you notice the beeswax, and various floral tones. Clover is more like Karo syrup to my taste. Gallberry has a fennel finish that old-time beekeepers call a sting at the end. It is milder but sweeter, than Wildflower.

TL;DR --- Skipping past the don't trust verify that should apply to all code and preference for hand holding to get to a built state, the actual application needs some care to make it more informative, and more forgiving. If something is configured wrong, prompt for new values. Provide some way to "go back" in the config steps. Be overly clear on what is expected of each field as the context could be the user or the repo. I still dont know what value I need for repo-relay or its relevance

Oh... I'm not sure about Damus because I'm on Android, and Primal doesn't provide the ability to differentiate between the different types of relays. I don't know if Amethyst is available on iOS, but it let's you define the following types of relays: public outbox, public inbox, DM inbox, private home, search, local, and general.

Steps aren't obvious for where the code for ngit can be found. The push is primarily towards trusting prebuilt binaries. Eventually I found

Running ngit init presents a qr code to use in a remote signer. I choose 'n' for no, and have a prompt for login with nsec, bunker url, or nostr address. I choose a nostr address which isn't configured for remote login. So then I try to just spin up a new nsec, and save the login details.
Then I'm prompted for name (mine? the repo?), identifier, and description. After analyzing nip-34, I beleive this correlates to the name of the repository, d-tag, and description. After that is successfully entered, I get prompted for clone url (for fetch), so I use a mirror

I didn't know what to put for relays and tried to enter a question mark thinking that would provide help on whether I need to specify a comma delimited list of values, include wss:// prefix etc. Nope, it took that question mark as the string to attempt and later indicated impossible to parse URL: relative URL without a base. For obvious reasions, the built in attempt to use nostr.mutinywallet.com also failed.
A maintainers.yaml file was created. I make changes to the file for the relays. Then commit and merge using normal git commands.
🔴 NGIT SEND
Next I attempt to ngit send and need to select commits for proposal. I'll just select the one I just sent. I get the warning about it already being in main, but I send anyway. I get an error that it cannot find profile.
Seeing as my generated nsec/npub has no profile yet, I guess this is a dependency. So I quickly make a kind 0 event and retry
Next it declares that it cannot find my relay ilst and I should consider using another nostr client to create one to enhance my nostr experience. At least it recognizes that I'm logged in as corny-chat-ngit-signer. I attempt to configure relays via nostrudel, but ngit never sees those updates. Weird that it can't just work with the relays specified in the maintainers.yaml file. So then I login to coracle and configure relays there with the hopes it'll publish the requisite events. It claim kind 10002 is being published
Now it seems to progress. I make a test branch, simple file change, local commit, then ngit send
repo-relay is still failing for impossible to parse URL : relative URL without a base
One of the relays I've configured requires auth, but it seems to have pushed it and provided this output
