It’s amazing to me that the world is still obsessed with low fat diets. So many products cut out the natural fat, and what remains is just a sugar fest.
Fly on an long distant flight- constantly offered breads, juices, fat free yogurts, etc. Sugar bomb after sugar bomb. I usually fast on planes.
At a breakfast buffet right now. Eggs fried in seed oil. The butter packets are mixed with seed oil. Juices and fruits everywhere. Coffee machines whose only milk option is fat free skim milk. The main area is waffles and syrup. The child at the table next to me has a breakfast plate with chocolate-covered waffles, french fries, and juice- just layers of carbs and sugar. One has to dig into the corners of the room to find the meat and boiled eggs and such.

Sometimes a "pso-rite" (https://pso-rite.com/products/pso-rite) can help. (These can be 3D printed at home for cheap.) OR sometimes, I'll use a lacrosse ball or softball instead of the roller. (More leaning into the pain spots and waiting, less moving around and smashing.) In the sauna, everything works even better.

Kneeling hip flexor stretches helped me recently when I was training for my ultra. There’s an example here. I would pull my back foot up so my heel touched my glute. You can put your back foot up on a low chair, too.

You’re pointing to and foam rolling towards the outside of your hip. Could it be your IT band bothering you?
Do you activley release your breath while you stretch, roll or massage your tight spots? I learned that a few moments of conscious release trumps minutes of stretching without it.
I like @npub17x7…vgap 's approach. Sounds best to me to fix it long term. Stronger hip flexors don't get tight from overusage as much as weaker ones.
But witbout more information this is all just guess work😅

Sex is pretty good hip flexor exercise too, better in some positions than others! I generally dislike intentional exercise so I look for fun ways to do it. 😁.

This is going to sound counterintuitive but sometimes when my hip flexors are bothering me and stretching them hasn’t helped, doing some gentle strength work helps more because they’re actually sore from being overstretched. So knee high marching in place, bridges, dead bugs. All helpful to engage the hip flexors.

Earlier I wanted to “quote” comment on @npub1zvx…ae8x‘s post, but by mistake I “quote” commented on @npub18x5…tv0k‘s post 🤷♀️ and was unable to delete it whereas on Instagram you can delete anything.
But even small things like spelling and grammatical errors, on here we just have to live with them while on Instagram they are easy to edit.
It’s not the end of the world, I’ll stop being lazy and do my best to double or even triple check everything I post from now on. However I suppose I was spoiled with IG for so long that it will take some time to develop this healthy habit 🏆 nevertheless I will get there. 💪

I make bone broth every week and I know it is rich in collagen as well as other beneficial nutrients. When consumed, this collagen gets broken down into amino acids, which are then absorbed by the body.
However, while drinking bone broth does provide the body with the building blocks for collagen, it doesn't guarantee that the body will use those amino acids specifically for collagen production in the skin 🤷♀️ but my fingers are crossed each time 😂

Get pure collagen in the powder form, one that has all 3 types, it's the best. Eat it, 10-15 g daily, but also... put it in your face.
Wet the face, wet your finger get some powder on it and rub it in, apply moisturizing cream after, leave it there until you wash your face, enjoy.
You're gonna see results pretty fast.

I use both as well, but I was always told to alternate them because:
1. **Potential for Irritation**
Both Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and retinol (a form of vitamin A) are potent ingredients that can cause skin irritation, especially when used together (probably not as intense as your oregano oil though 🫣). I know for some people, using both simultaneously can result in redness, dryness, and peeling.
2. **pH Levels**
Vitamin C is most effective in a low pH environment (acidic), whereas retinol is more effective in a higher pH environment (neutral to slightly acidic). Using them together can potentially make either the vitamin C or retinol less effective due to competing pH levels.
Like I said, I use both as well, but if you're want to try alternating, there are two methods to consider:
1. **Alternate Use in the Same Day**
One common approach is to use Vitamin C in the morning and retinol in the evening. NOTE: If you do this, my dermatologist strongly recommends using sunscreen to avoid causing other issues. Personally, I don't like having sunscreen on my face all day - every day, so I don't incorporate either into my morning routine.
2. **Alternate Use Every Other Day**
Another approach is to use Vitamin C in the evening on M/W/F and retinol in the evening on T/T/S, taking Sunday off as a day of rest.

На второй раз эта история уже не зацепила. Однако нашёл в фильме другое — то, что в 2003-ем казалось чем-то из Герберта Уэллса и «Войны миров».
Может быть, вы обратили внимание сразу (я — нет), что Агент Смит и прочие персонажи из матрицы — это искусственный интеллект. Вообще весь реальный мир фильма — это люди, порабощенные искусственным интеллектом, который создал для них иллюзию существования и использует их как организмы для производства энергии. Тут же и временно неактуальная отсылка к Метаверсу, взлетевшему на хайпе в 2020-ом.
Вот этот смысл в 2023-ем звучит как никогда современно. 20 лет назад AI был где-то в далёком будущем, а не в каждом смартфоне. Сегодня голоса алармистов, предупреждающих об опасностях искусственного интеллекта, звучат всё громче. Как-нибудь напишу об этом подробнее, но основное их опасение состоит в том, что, во-первых, AI развивается слишком быстро. А, во-вторых, он прямолинеен: если ему отдать задание «выращивай клубнику», он засадит весь мир клубникой, не считаясь с жертвами. В-третьих, имеет очень большое значение, на каком материале его обучать, и какие здесь ещё возможны «побочки».
🧐 В общем, советую пересмотреть «Матрицу» примерно с середины, оттуда, где Морфеус объясняет Нео, что случилось с реальным миром. Актуальная на сегодня история. В контексте мировых событий — тем более.

I did a bit more digging because it look good, but now I’m a bit confused because I know factories use colorful dyes for things like clothes, food, and paints and when they wash these dyes away, they can hurt the rivers and oceans they run into, harming fish and plants. The people that eat those fish can become sick from those harmful dyes… From what I’m reading one of these bad dyes is Methylene blue (MB). I don’t see any reasons for concern here. They can all fork off as they wish.
Right, but if you run a node, you have to choose which software to accept. You either upgrade to the softfork and continue monitoring, keep it on the old fork and do nothing, or you switch to a brand new version.
You can always keep both, it doesn’t cost you anything.
If Bitcoin softforks and we get #drivechains (that don’t effect you, your node, or the lightning network), and everyone tells you to switch to a different version of Bitcoin to save it like our heroes in the blocksize wars, would you do it? If the price of the softfork goes down, will you make the switch?

We are told we need compliance to protect science.
We are told we need rigged elections to save democracy.
We are told we need forever war to secure peace.

This is not the only way to do it, the gossip model model will pull data based on what other users define in their relay read/write descriptors, but then the user has less control on what is displayed and from where, as it becomes a decision that other users make on your behalf. This is actually good for decentralization but it doesn’t mean its the best or only way to fetch notes.
because this is not defined by the protocol, many clients make assumptions about how data is pulled. Many just used a fixed set of relays or use their own cache relay. Some use gossip model. This means logging into different clients might give different views of the data.
So if your damus account is broken by another client, sorry. All i can say is “warranty is voided if you put your nsec into another client”. And that is pretty sad :(

The Case for a Chain Split
The debate surrounding drivechains has been heating up, with proponents employing various tactics to garner support. This divisive issue echoes previous disputes in the Bitcoin community, such as the 2017 block size controversy. As such, we should consider what was then the definitive resolution: a chain split.
A significant portion of the Bitcoin community rejects drivechains, effectively blocking its implementation via a soft fork. Bitcoin's voluntary nature makes it resistant to hostile takeovers, despite claims that miners could force the change. Disagree with that last statement? Then let's put that to the test. We can resolve this posturing and propaganda by forking the code.
Here's how it would work: Code implementing drivechains would be released. Those who support the proposal can run this code. A transaction that goes against drivechain rules but adheres to pre-drivechain rules will trigger a chain split. Those running the drivechain software wouldn't be doing anything, but nodes that aren't can reject the drivechain chain by using the "invalidateblock" command. The result will be two distinct Bitcoins: one with drivechains and one without.
This approach was resolved the conflict we had in August 2017, when Bitcoin Cash split off from Bitcoin. Similarly, proponents and opponents of drivechains can either hold or sell their respective Bitcoins post-split. This would be a real-world test of control and game theory within the network.
I advocate for this split not just for potential profits, but also because it's a peaceful solution. It would let us see in real time how convicted the drivechain people are. Will drivechain miners support it if it means mining at a loss? A chain split would serve as a critical learning opportunity for the community, providing a clear answer to the ongoing debate. Ultimately, this will strengthen Bitcoin by showing the market how hard it is to change its properties.

При этом релеи работают по сути как серверы для хранения и обмена публикациями между владельцами приватных ключей, которые имеют доступ к одним и тем же релеям. Таким образом, самые популярные релеи, сайты для загрузки медиа и приложения-клиенты Ностра нетрудно заблокировать, что и сделал в начале года Китай.
С другой стороны, протокол тем и хорош, что ты можешь создать собственный релей и писать на него. Если он малоизвестен и находится внутри страны, вероятность блокировки снижается. А если к нему подключены люди со всего мира, теоретически внутри страны, где популярные релеи заблокированы, можно читать этих людей со всего мира несмотря на все блокировки. Но как сделать так, чтобы релей не стал популярным, но при этом к нему было подключено максимальное множество людей? Релеи не общаются между собой, написано на сайте Ностра.
Понятно, что на сегодня проще пользоваться VPN и не париться о блокировках. Но что будет, когда все популярные протоколы и маршруты VPN заблокируют, как сейчас происходит с WireGuard и OpenVPN?

We are not ALL trying to do something. Bitcoin is pretty straightforward after the learning curve. It is money. It is a payment network. It is code.
I am not trailing anyone, or anything. By using the phrase "outpace" you are categorizing bitcoin as a traditional investment, and comparing it to all the other traditional investments. I agree completely that bitcoin does "outpace" all the other traditional investments, albeit with the risk and volatility. However, I do not try to correlate, or compare, anything to bitcoin because it is the first invention of its kind. I treat it as its own category and have spent years refining my material to explain this to people new to the idea.
Contrary to who's or what belief, about the foundation being more solid? I have always stated that the foundation of bitcoin is nearly indestructible. It is the people, and all their flaws, that cause the cracks in the societal use of bitcoin. The code itself is solid, and I have always said so. The bitcoin foundation is more solid than gold or real estate because those are both physical items that are at the risk of societal and environmental changes. Bitcoin however, lives in code, and does not have that risk.
The unpredictable factor, is yet again, your attempt to bring bitcoin into the traditional investing world. Bitcoin is absolutely predictable: tick tock next block. At year 2140, no more mining, halving every ~4 years or 210,000 blocks.
What you are referring to as being unpredictable is the price of the bitcoin. Fluctuating market conditions are a construct of a man made markets, subject to manipulation. People do not follow their self interest, they follow emotions. Emotions are always manipulated. It is rare and disciplined investor than can forego emotions and make decisions as logically.
Bitcoin maximalists do not reveal 100% of their portfolios because, just like traditional financial professionals, they do not want to be subject to scrutiny. I will bet a majority of bitcoin maximalists also hold a diverse, well rounded portfolio of traditional stocks, bonds, own businesses, real estate, etc.
You are telling people to become bitcoin maximalists, and the artwork in your posts suggest a cult like obedience. I am suggesting people become educated, informed, well rounded, diversified.
Some catch on quicker than others. We're all still trying to wrap our heads around #Bitcoin, but it seems you might be trailing a bit in recognizing its potential to eventually outpace real estate, stocks, and gold. Not everyone sees it, and that's okay. Contrary to belief, its foundation is more solid than gold or real estate. The only unpredictable factor? Banking on people not following their self-interest. But really, when has that ever been the norm?

After being in bitcoin for nearly 10 years, I have to thank you for clarifying that I do not understand it. I guess the moves I've made, and the people I've helped are doomed to suffer from the ignorance I've demonstrated.
I also thank you for calling out the "poor investments" of my diversified portfolio. I guess after investing for half my life in a variety of profitable, exciting things that both provide services, and enrich my life, and the lives of those that worked with me...I still don't understand.
Money is never a goal for me, it was always a tool, to learn, to be used, for the purposes of whatever the project was at the time. It is about the things money can buy, and the freedom it can bring to you and others you share wealth with. But...I just don't understand.
I guess real estate does not do that. It doesn't provide homes for people. It doesn't provide space for people to open a business, and sure doesn't provide land to productively farm.
You're also right in that gold and silver do not provide liquidity, and do not have a history of being reliable. I guess if you decide to sell your bullion today, when you walk down to the local store, they'll turn you away and tell you to get those shitcoins out of there, and come back when you are selling bitcoin.
