Nice article!
I haven't spent much time in #NetBSD, but I do think it has the prettiest default X11 setup of the major 3 BSDs. #OpenBSD's FVWM setup is quite plain (though usable), and FreeBSD doesn't give you X11 in base.

IIRC, none of the USB macs had power on the keyboard (not counting laptops). It might be something that was specific to ADB.
They'd have to do something like have a power MCU connected to USB that looks for the power on keycode and then transfers the USB connection to the CPU or something.
I always thought power-on on the keyboard was pretty magical ^__^

The only problem is the lack of dynamic partitioning such as #lvm on #OpenBSD.
Of course, the classic "fix" to that is to only add what you think you'll need, and leave plenty of free space at the end of the partition.
That's what I did on my most recent install.

I've been given a zip file full of JPEGs of pages of a #document. I asked for a scan, and was given photos. The photos are ok, but some of the pages are curled, more than the GIMP perspective/3D transform tool can correct for.
Are there any good document scanning programs for #Linux that I can feed a stack of JPEGs to and get a usable PDF out of? It has to be able to handle some perspective and page curl issues.

Can any neovim experts tell me how to change the ':set spell" colors?
Typos have a bright pink/red background and punctuation errors have a bright green background, and they're both pretty hard to read with my terminal color scheme.
I tried all of the colors schemes that come with neovim, and none of them changed the spelling highlight colors.

* No quote tweets
* No hashtags
* No retweets!! (You had to copy the text, reply, prepend "RT: " and paste in the text of their tweet, and hope it didn't go over 144c)
* No hashtags (that was only on hashtags.org!)
* No search
* No pictures!!! (You posted a link to twitpic!!)
So maybe just chill out and enjoy mastodon for what it is today, mmkay? ;)

I agree with your assessment, and I don't believe that behavior should be tolerated.
But I think we should be careful to exclude behaviors, and not people directly.
People do change.

I have mixed feelings about Lunduke being (back?) on the Fediverse.
Dude's videos got me back into Linux full-time five years ago.
Like many, I find his politics VERY concerning.
I'm not going to ignore the infamy he seems to enjoy, nor his penchant for twisting facts wholesale to his liking, but neither will I be joining the hate train.
Hopefully, he will find the Fediverse as welcoming and liberating as I have for the past two years.
