I think it's different, it's worse in my opinion.
To me reading and writing is the closest we have ever gotten to telepathy. There's the saying that a picture is worth a 1000 words, but sometimes a 1000 words are worth a 1000 pictures.
The actual process of writing is, for me, the process of thinking through an idea.
Yet I sometimes catch myself offloading thinking to an LLM, it's infuriating whenever I notice doing this, but I don't always catch myself doing it until it's too late (not sure if that makes sense). It's often for the stupidest reasons, such as when I'm trying to formulate a complex argument, I rewrite it once or twice, and it looks unreadable, I take my stream of thoughts and prompt the llm to "rewrite it so it doesn't read like a jumbled mess".
The more I find myself doing this, the worse I get at writing extemporaneously without "quickly putting the message into llama".
I used to pride myself on my ability to write, almost as much as my ability to code. I feel myself becoming dumber every time I offload my thinking to an LLM; and yet it's hard to stop because brains are designed to go towards the path of least resistence.
If I find myself doing this, having been an LLM skeptik for so long, I shudder to think what those who are pro LLMs do, and I am genuinely scared for the future, not for an AI uprising, but for the lowering of the relative intelligence of the average person if this keeps going.
I don't know what the solution is, but I know this isn't progress, and I know that if we don't stop it, it will become as big a problem as the overwellian surveillence state we live in

I think what he's asking about is say creating a regular kind 1 note that mentions another npub (Odell, for instance) and attach a zap to that mentioned npub to increase the chance they will see the note. So it would be a zap to someone other than the author of the note, which I don't think is possible currently. Certainly not supported by any clients I am aware of.

The closest I know of is cellar.nostr.wine, which is more of an archival relay that charges 1 sat/note per year, but you have to preload it with a balance of sats that it pulls from as you add notes to the relay.

We already have that. Settings/notifications. Hide notifications with more than x npubs tagged. Slide it to 10 and you temporarily hide it

Once upon a time it used to be considered best practice to use Google Voice for Signal. You set up an anon Google account with only Voice. You set up hardware security key auth on the Google account. The only thing you used the voice number for was your Signal account. Some people also used that number for text message based 2fa but that tied it to your government name so a separate account from your signal account is ideal.
This was the only way to have your phone number protected from sim jacking by hardware security key at the time. There may be better providers that offer hardware key 2fa for your phone number now.
The major issue I have noticed with every VoIP provider is noticable voice lag on calls.

Don't know about that one, but I tried a couple that worked and a couple that didn't. Unexpected Keyboard is an easy one to install and try just to troubleshoot. No permissions requested other than sensors.
You could also use Amethyst and get the same behavior.
