A couple of weeks ago I took a class on precognition and made the prediction that Bitcoin would reach $110k by May 10th. I was wrong! As I was going to bed on the 10th it made it up to $104k. That's the highest it's been since January so I feel like I get partial credit 😅
A big part of me still feels like it'll happen very soon. Maybe I need to work on precognition language a bit more, make it vaguer? We'll see. In the meantime thank goodness I have two M.Sc degrees in econometrics to fall back in if the psychic thing doesn't work out 🤣

It sounds like you've overcome some programming that kept you overworked and under-rested. I'm proud of you for learning to be gentle with yourself!
Meditations is great, but it is also absolutely ruthless. If you're in a place of needing gentleness it's maybe better to start with the lecture I posted elsewhere in the thread. It's much more palatable coming from Sugrue.
What other books have helped you a lot with life and living? I am in a place in life where I'm absolutely devouring that stuff and would love some recommendations!

Not currently but it's never far from my mind. This passage in particular I like to repeat to myself any time I wake up in the morning knowing what I should do, what I need to do really, and feeling like a whining petulant toddler about just doing it. There is deep comfort in knowing that two thousand years ago a great emperor of the entire known world was dealing with that similar feeling.

I think the point is they don't have to stay in that role if they are unhappy. A lot of men seem deeply unhappy these days.
In economics, we do not say "ah, I've created a pencil. I and the consumer will accept the price point that the authority figure / government sets for it." Rather we say that an invisible hand guided by individual pursuit of self interest unintentionally leads to a positive outcome for society. Why would we accept some grouping of tasks as our prescribed roles as dictated by a tradition.
In my life I've nurtured children and the dying, I've cooked and cleaned. But I've also been the breadwinner for a household when the man of the house could not, and devoted a lot of energies to intellectual pursuits. If I had not been there and it were only men, the work of living via caretaking and hygiene would still need to be done and I would consider it a good man who is capable to adjusting to the task at hand. And was it not a good thing that the man was able to focus on a new entrepreneurship while still enjoying steak instead being limited to gruel?
If men seem so deeply unhappy then they should pursue their happiness. It does seem that instead there is a large wave of men dictating that women not pursue their happiness. If a man's happiness is so utterly dependent on women following their lead, then by all means they should lead and women will follow in pursuit of their self interest. There are two types of men in this thread, one type is considered intelligent and attractive, The other is considered angry and pitiable. Which do you think women acting in their own self interest will follow?
If there is a group adamantly insisting on blindly following an authority, are they demonstrating leadership and strength? Does the market well tolerate artificial price points or does it lead to inefficient dead weight loss?
We are all self sovereign and responsible for our own actions. We all reap what we sow. And what's for us will come to us with the grace of God 🙌

Today psy-gym was on precognition. It's always delightful touching in with these people, fantastic conversations all around. There was a brief lecture on precognition examples and strategies. Next we had a guided meditation around creating precognition forecasts.
In the guidance, we settled into ourselves and then imagined a bridge. We walked across that bridge and towards a figure in the middle of the bridge. For me that figure was a statue like the sphinx and was mildly terrifying and reminded me of the never ending story:

The leader then announced that the figure in the middle of the bridge was myself one month in the future, which, dang. What happens to me that I turn into that, or am I already an imposing mystical and magical guardian of the oracle?
We then had a conversation with this figure on the bridge of time. Afterwards when we were sharing our experiences, it seems that most people had very chatty conversations. My future self was not loquacious at all, indeed she was stone. I got the impression like it's already happened, it's set in stone. The guide prompted us to imagine these guides telling us three things about the next month of our lives. Even though we had several minutes to meditate on each revelation, my conversation partner only provided the brief phrases I noted below.
At the end of the exercise as an additional task the guide asked us to think of something like a sports match and try to predict the outcome of in the next month or so to test ourselves. I'm not a fan of any sportsball really and was trying to think of something comparable but couldn't. I looked at the calendar and what popped in my head was "110 by the tenth". I messed up a bit noting it, but that is a prediction for Bitcoin price in USD by May 10th, 2025. I've never made a purposeful premonition before, but it'll be fun to see if it's correct or not!

I started doing rosemary oil scalp massages once a week and have finally been growing back some length. I lost a lot over the stress of the pandemic. I've always regretted doing the big chop when I was angry about it not being long.

One of the insights I've had in the artist's way process was that I've been wanting to learn how to sing. I took my first singing lesson this afternoon and I am so excited! We'll focus on the bare basics because I am very new to it, but the hope is to work up to singing gospel. I like to listen to an upbeat gospel workout music playlist when I do yard work and I'm tired of sounding so bad as I sing along! 😅
He was very nice and encouraging and somehow tangentially knows Gimli and Jeff Goldblum so that was random and interesting. I'll let you know how it goes! Who knows if I get confident enough maybe I'll post a video but I wouldn't bet on that anytime soon 🤣

Years ago that little Jiminy Cricket voice in my head started really peaking my interest in learning foraging as part of a broader effort to learn prepping skills. I figured starting at the most rudimentary skillsets made sense, so learned a bunch of cool stuff about the flora of the Appalachian and piedmont of the Mid-Atlantic area where I lived at that time. But you know what the biggest take away was for me? Foraging is for the birds! There's a reason we domesticated things. Plants harvested from gardening are way better in taste, texture, everything with rare exceptions for things like ramps or morels. Sometimes domestication is just like, way way better. I'm still committed to my current path and living closer to the earth etc. but I'm having a real temptation to rejoin the matrix today 😭

Apparently for one night a year termites go crazy and find their way into a crack in the concrete into the house but the house is concrete not wood so it's not a big concern most of the time. We just had a late night murder spree and things seem to be normal again now except I still feel like things are crawling on me.
To cope I will be chucking everything in the fuckit bucket and starting the morning with a large double shot and a infused sativa pre-roll. Wake and bakes are my favorite and it's been too long. Maybe I'll even do something productive after my attitude adjustment.
But also maybe not! Tune in next time for spoiled bougie lady researcher sees the light and moves from the big city to a rural homestead to attempt to get healthy, sober, and maybe psychic(?)!

Lent is over now! I am really proud of myself for how much I kept to my abstaining from caffeine. I only broke my fast on four days, all around my big move. I think that's pretty fair, it's hard enough driving a big ass truck with a trailer when you're used to driving a 49 cc scooter 🛵.
I believe I will still keep it up! I've gotten into these mushroom sodas they give good solid energy without disturbing my sleep at night too much.
Except of course when those dang coyotes come at night. I'll be having expresso after that next time it happens 🐺🤬🐺

My favorite Easter memories are from when I was a little girl. My parents sat me down to tell me that God would love me just as much if we didn't go to church at all. We stopped going to mass with the family and spending time with a bunch of toxic folks on the holiday and instead would go to Ocean City, MD. My dad would go to the pubs, my mom would go shopping, and I'd run amok at the arcades binge eating all the candy I could grab at a five finger discount.
In the evening we would get together and watch Jesus Christ Superstar. I still watch that movie every Easter weekend.
As an adult I can understand how blasphemous it all was, but as a kid it was a weekend that everyone seemed sincerely happy when we otherwise weren't and it did feel deeply spiritual to me for that reason.

I'm actually experimenting with tuning forks that I hold up to my ears. Using two different frequencies, one in each ear creates an acoustic version of that hemi-synch effect that the Monroe institute patented. It's pretty neat when that third note starts vibrating in your head, and it makes for really cool meditations.

This is such a deeply cool thread thank you for tagging me!! I have so many thoughts to add!
1) Yes I believe the gateway experience is about this process. We should differentiate between the gateway experience, from the Monroe institute and military run programs like project Stargate (and a bunch of other names because every times it's declassified/cancelled it pops up elsewhere with a different name) that used the gateway experience as training. The program I was in when I was little did sensory deprivation in a very low tech way, the lady would bring me into the library supply closet and turn off the lights while I listened to the recordings on big noise cancelling style headphones. If you go to the Monroe institute and do the program officially, they have little nooks that act as sensory deprivation spaces to do the meditations. But its pricey, I have bootlegged copies of the tapes and manual if anyone's interested. In the philosophy behind it all we're taught to imagine oneself inside of a torus, and that donut hole in the center is a vortex of two energies spiraling around you.
2) to add into the snake as a representation of forbidden knowledge discussion, I think it was less secret in the way back when days. You can almost see the high water line in these stories, of when the knowledge became forbidden. There are many interesting myths about the conquest of snakes, for example in Ireland the reason St. Patrick is celebrated is for casting the snakes out of Ireland. There's a delightful modern novel that is well rooted in regional Estonian folk tales called The Man Who Spoke Snakish about the era of medieval times when the Hanseatic League was finally bringing Christianity and Roman/Western style capitalism to the far north of Europe and the mythical Snakish language died out.
3) although these stories are often linked to Christianity, I believe it's more about the conquest and dominance culture related to economics which is why I'm calling it Roman/Western but to be fair the Romans might have blamed Babylon as the root of this and so on and so forth a la that song "we didn't start the fire" by Billy Joel. Christian philosophy lived alongside the pre-Christian pagan philosophy and I've seen this most clearly in Ireland where old churches have snake symbology and Sheela na gig carvings. The book of Kells has a lot of snake imagery. Keep in mind the island of Ireland has never had an environment that supports snakes. There is a lovely children's animated movie which explores this era and is well researched mythologically (also it has award winning beautiful animation) called the Secret of Kells. Depending on what side you were on the pre-Christian God Crom Cruach was a dark force of human sacrifice or a voice hidden in the mists, a god-worm living in lakes and wells. Going into the darkness grants sacred knowledge. The worship of Crom was also said to be ended by St. Patrick. The spiraling snake eating its own tail is why much Celtic knotwork are infinite loops. The message of the whole movie is to turn the darkness into light, which is the message of alchemy as well. Turn the darkness of trauma and tragedy in our lives into the golden light of the spirit.
What I found the coolest was the coincidence that I am actively reading both Stalking the Wild Pendulum and 78 Degrees of Wisdom. I love connecting with other psychonaut adventurers!

Although at the beginning I was thinking there might have been a team of some sort. They had so many possibilities. There were so many weird Luigi lookalike contests immediately after. The idea of a crew of hot revolutionaries running around saving us from this terrible system really made me titillated.
But the longer it goes on the more I'm just like, oh no. Just normal sneaky government killing civilians then pinning it on other civilians who get the death penalty so those in power can continue bleeding us dry 😮‍💨

Really that perp walk was ridiculous. The documentaries coming out with cops and prosecutors giving evidence they had not even shared with the defense slandering Luigi pretrial was ridiculous. Everything about how the officials are handling it is ridiculous and makes me even more convinced he's innocent. It's a tragedy.

I don't think he did it. I think he was a convenient Patsy because he comes from a prominent Maryland family that's notorious for their wretched senior care facilities and had cut ties with them over values etc. So the narrative was easy to craft and would be known by Baltimore prominent people (like Pelosi) who may have had a stake in what CEO Brian Thompson was about to testify on (insider trading). I think Luigi randomly woke up in a PA field (it happens), tried to get a hotel but couldn't, then went to wait in McDonald's where the police conveniently found all the incriminating evidence they could need on him. The shooter was so careful and meticulous in so many ways, but then just forgot to not hold on to incriminating evidence? I have reasonable doubts.
Full disclosure, I am from a nearby town in Maryland, and I also cut ties with my family. But I was able to grow and flourish unlike Luigi. Cutting ties with family and old scenes and trying to be something new for yourself makes you so vulnerable and to me this case really highlights that. I cannot help but feel so lucky nothing bad happened to me when I did that, and I feel so sad for him that this is happening. In Maryland Luigi has a stellar reputation as an all around solid quality human being. Everyone has a story about him it seems, and all the stories are so sweet. But on TikTok there was so much weird AI content of him it was horrifying to me (why I left TikTok and came to Nostr). So that's why I support him and want a quick and fair trial. I believe he is innocent and want him to be free.
Many of the people who go to his court cases don't necessarily support him or the allegations. They just are using this as a platform to protest the terrible health care industry. The deceased Brian Thompson instituted AI bots to automatically deny people life saving health coverage that they had been paying for. How many preventable deaths was he responsible for? How much money did he make denying the services his customers were paying for? How is that not criminal? If the healthcare industry as a business is moving towards "we take your money then automatically deny you care until you die" then some do argue that it was not wrong to kill the person who did that.
I think the trial will bring some interesting information to the public, but they keep on delaying his court dates. I think they are hoping the public forgets about it. But that's why I'm so gung-ho about talking about it! Sorry for the long essay response 😅
