Les criminels hack les applications de livraison (DoorDash, Uber Eats et autres), passent des commandes fantômes pour repérer les adresses, se font passer pour des livreurs et entrent chez leurs victimes. Une fois à l’intérieur, ils attachent, menacent, consultent les soldes en temps réel via téléphone et exigent l’accès aux portefeuilles
Dans le cas de Brentwood, la victime a montré son ordinateur et ses vrais avoirs...
Les agresseurs, insatisfaits, ont sorti un couteau. Seul l’arrivée d’un hélicoptère de police les a fait fuir avant d'aller plus loin dans l'intimidation 💢
Les "duress wallets" (portefeuilles sous contrainte) devaient être la solution :

If Apple approves a fake clone of your banking app and then you use it without realizing it’s a malicious app not associated with your bank, causing you to get phished out of everything there’s got to be some liability on Apple’s part. That’s literally the whole reason to have a closed system like that, user trust for what they download shouldn’t be malicious.
First, that implies everyone has dependents. Second, its still stolen before the check is issued. And nothing anyone can say will change that fact.

Jeff Bezos prend ici un risque calculé, mais un succès viendrait confirmer l’accélération du programme New Glenn. La célèbre tortue spatiale, mascotte de Blue Origin, semble bel et bien avoir pris de la vitesse.
Le lancement, désigné NG-3 et emportant notamment un satellite BlueBird d’AST SpaceMobile, est actuellement prévu le 17 avril 2026, sous réserve d’aucun report de dernière minute.

Buying hash from big (and small) hashing farms so it doesn't end up in centralized mining pools but instead build on your own block templates (via DATUM and SV2) sounds like a net positive to me. Running your own mining hardware is better that's for sure but the next best thing is to buy hash that would otherwise end up in centralized mining pools giving them more power. Not as bad as cloud mining as you can point an exact hash rate you bought to a specific pool/mine your preferred block templates.

China most assuredly does (now) have IP law, and it is as abusive and asymetrical as in the West, if rather smaller in revenues and State enforcement powers.
Yes, business behaviour would change in the absence of IP enforcement, but not nearly as much as is supposed. Patents are already typically written "defensively", giving nothing useful away whilst maximising opportunities to claim royalties on other people's not-yet-discovered variations and extensions. Without IP enforcement, defensive patents wouldn't be filed at all. Nothing of value would be lost.
Innovative research (that is useful) is most commonly incremental and in service of existing production. Basic research is rarely / never funded privately these days, and never was except for a brief window after WW2 in the USA specifically. Scaling-up can in rare cases benefit from IP, but in reality most entreprenuers will instead get a choice between selling their patent for a trifle or being bankrupted in court. Bragging rights are a more meaningful reward for publication today.
I do like reading 1880s - 1930s patents. The authors were assuredly delulu and benefited little from their patents, but you could really build a device from the information therein.
