I've been learning the Defold game engine (and teaching it as I go) and I have
to say that I mostly like it. Godot gets most of the "small game engine"
attention, but Defold seems to be a very worthy competitor. I really like the
built-in messaging system and it provides a TON of flexibility while presenting
a simple concept. My biggest issues with it so far are poor drag-and-drop
support for the editor, and overall the bare-bones nature of the editor in
general. The Lua code completion in the editor is really good, but Lua is a bit
of an opaque language and finding the correct API to use and teaching the
concepts has been quite difficult and time-consuming. Defold has a lot of
promise, but I feel like it presents a higher-than-usual learning barrier and
the messaging concepts can lead to some seriously tangled runtime headaches.
Again, I'm still learning Defold, but I expect to use it for some small 2D
projects in the future to compare and contrast it to UE5, Godot, and of course
my own game engine, Clockwork.

알고란 기자처럼 온갖 알트들을 쉴링한 것도 아니지 않나? 주식 채권 ETF는 워낙 대중적인건데 과거에 (혹은 지금 현재에도) 그런거 1도 안 묻은 순백같은 사람이 있긴 한가? 라는 생각이었는데, 예로 들어주신 상황을 가정해보니 아닌건 아닌거네요. 제가 잘못 생각했습니다.

李克强的突然离世，让我想起中国诗人臧克家的《有的人》这首诗：“有的人活着/他已经死了/有的人死了/他还活着……”从中国网络和社交媒体看，人们对李的去世，一片惋惜和沉痛，惋惜和沉痛他在不该去世的时候去世，他做总理时的郁郁不得志。鉴于中国的舆论审查制度，很多人不能把话说得很明，可能够看出某种不可言状的悲悯在内。也有些人把他的突然去世和中共前总书记胡耀邦相比，后者也是病逝于心肌梗塞，暗示这里存在某种阴谋，而不是一种意外。
李克强政绩并非处处成功
中国人看重盖棺论定，尤其是政治人物。官方讣告称李克强是“久经考验的忠诚的共产主义战士，杰出的无产阶级革命家、政治家，党和国家的卓越领导人”，这个评价对当代政治人物来说，应该是相当高的。对政治人物的评价，当然要从政治角度，也即从事功和政治伦理两个方面看他带来的是正面还是负面的影响和价值。从事功而言，尽管官方的讣告列举了李的很多政绩，然而，他十年总理，似乎没给中国留下可称道的“遗产”。他的招牌式语言“互联网+”，“大众创业、万众创新”及其背后的政策，似乎催生的是互联网泡沫和P2P之类东西。要仔细盘桓他的政绩，确实很难找出哪件带有鲜明的李克强色彩。某些被认为是他所主导的政策，如城镇化，实践证明，思路有问题，并不成功。
然而，做总理十年未有值得称道的政绩，固然某些方面说明李的局限，但根本上这不是他的错，要说他的错，错就错在他和习近平搭班子。有习这个说一不二的主，他注定无所作为。李不像朱镕基，性格强势，也不像温家宝，遇到了一个弱势的胡锦涛。这两个总理在他们的总书记领导下，有一个很大的政策发挥空间。可是他遇到的习近平，是一个要独占权力的人，党政军的事情，不但要全管全抓而且要按他的一套去做，总理的权力被大大地限缩，国务院沦为政策执行部门。
其实，李刚上台就任总理时，也曾意气风发，想大干一番，那时习立足未稳，也给了他这个空间，所以在头两年里，流行着一个“李克强经济学”的说法，这反映社会对李的期待，认为有着市场理念的李，将能很好地把邓小平开创，但在胡锦涛时期已经事实停滞的改革事业，推向一个新的高度。按照他的简政放权，放松管制，减少审批，尊重市场，创新驱动的一套结构性改革的思路，十年下来，中国或许建成一个真正的市场经济体系，而不是现在的伪市场。可惜，在原本属于总理的经济大权，也被习剥夺了。尤其在习成为核心的第二任期，在两个“确立”和两个“维护”的政治紧箍咒下，他虽心有不甘，但无法走出习的阴影，最后只能一事无成，这无疑是李的悲剧，也是中国的悲剧。

李克强心挂民生，骤逝令各界惋惜
好在中国对政治人物的评价，除了事功，还有道德和伦理，这后一方面在中国的政治文化中，某种程度上甚至比前者更显重要。中国历史上那些赫赫有名的帝王，像一统天下的秦始皇和扫灭匈奴的汉武帝，事功在历代帝王中都是数一数二的，然而由于存在道德瑕疵，残暴，不善待百姓，滥杀群臣，后代历史对他们的评价实际都不高。原因就在于中国的儒家传统强调政治人物的德行，用现在的话说，就是责任伦理，负有重要责任的官员尤其帝王如果有才无德，不能做百官的楷模，教化百姓，是在道德上有亏损的，不是合格的领导人。
在中共的干部队伍里，李克强是相对清正廉洁的，之所以说相对，是官场和民间并没有传出他和他的家族有什么腐败丑闻，能够做到这点，在腐败酱缸文化的中共，已经非常了不起。另外，李也看来脱不了他本质上的“书生气”，他不是一个耍阴谋诡计的政客，也不是一朝权在手就把令来行的得意猖獗之徒，从和他结识与交往的人的讲述来看，对他的为人和从政，都有不错评价。客观地说，李的为官之路是比较顺畅的，学生时代就是党培养的对象，以后一路绿灯，由团中央到地方再到中央决策层，直至总理，位居一人之下万人之上。一般来说，做官顺畅的人容易生骄娇二字，但李没有，确实难能可贵。当然，对政治人物而言，政治伦理最重要的是对百姓的态度，他在卸任前的第二次记者会上，公开承认，中国还有6亿人月收入不到1000元，仅这句话，就说明他是个心挂民生的总理。
这样一位前总理的去世，而且是以这种人们意料不到的方式去世，自然会让人哀痛和惋惜，觉得不公。人们在心里会问，为什么老天不讲眼，死的是李克强而不是他们讨厌的政治人物？因此，一些人可能会觉得，他的突然去世不仅仅是意外，里面还有某种“邪恶”和阴谋的成分。如果有这种想法，也不奇怪。因为在习治下的中共，人们看到太多肮脏的东西，好人是很难在这个政治体中混下去的。从这个角度看，李在游泳时突发心脏病，容易让人想到，这是郁闷和憋屈所致，既对国家前途，也对他所属的团派命运，或许还有对民生的艰难，忧虑成疾，生出意外。

悼念李是对另一个人的谴责
对中国社会来说，李克强的去世，会让精英阶层尤其中共那些失意的改革派官员和团派官员，感觉兔死狐悲。这么多年来，他一直被反对习近平的精英阶层寄以希望，把他作为接替习的人选，幻想着哪天他不忍了，同习掀桌子，直到去年在中共二十大团派全出局，他们才基本死了这个心，也觉得中共政权彻底没救了。李如果是在开明专制下，他对改革和市场的坚守，对百姓的同情，会让他成为一个有作为的总理，但在习时代，注定是不可能施展抱负的。习不会容纳一个和他的基本理念背道而驰的人做副手，没有把李半途赶下就已经不错，不可能支持李按他的想法去治理中国。而李性格中的柔弱，特别是中共这种整齐划一，强调服从的政治体制，也决定了他不敢或不愿去挑战最高权力。他能够做的，就是在临近退时，发几句呐喊——“改革开放还要继续往前推进，黄河长江不会倒流”，“人在做、天在看”，在外人看来，这有某种壮志未酬的悲怆意涵在内，显示一种不甘心的姿态，但也仅此而已。
这当然也是李的局限。人都有局限，很难有政治人物超越他的时代和所属利益集团，指望李做胡耀邦或赵紫阳都不现实。胡赵经历过战争，也经历过文革，对中共体制的荒谬有深刻的反思，所以能够走出这个体制，甚至和它某种程度决裂。李虽然也经历过六四，但他在这场运动中毕竟没有选择背叛党，而是要在党的体制里改造党，他走的是这条补墙工的道路，所以，归根结底，他是党的人，是这个体制的既得利益者。他原本想做一只啄木鸟或者补墙工，但习近平不给他这个机会，习认为他的补墙方式只会使党更软弱而不是更强大，因此，他只能对习曲折表达不满，而不敢公开和习抗争，更不敢和党分手，他没有这个魄力，人们也不应指望他有这个魄力。自六四之后，在党的高级干部里，从来没有人公开叛党，哪怕他们对习非常不屑，对党的黑暗非常了解。
故不必苛求他。相对而言，身居高位，能在中共这股浊水中成为一个清流，已经不易，不能要求太高。他的不幸离世举世震惊乃至悲痛，人们用他是一个“好人”、人民的“好总理”，来表达怀念和尊重之情，已经映照出了人心。谁心上装有百姓，谁只是嘴上说说，人民是很清楚的。对他的哀痛其实也看作是对另一个人的谴责。还用臧克家的那首诗来结束吧：“他活着别人就不能活的人/他的下场可以看到/他活着为了多数人更好地活着的人/群众把他抬举得很高，很高”。

I wonder if we had a visual analogy for a casual user to understand that npub = username, nsec = password and extension = cloud storage password or something like that 🤔
One of the things I’ve learned from working in manufacturing is that the more visual and simple you can make it, the easier to quickly grasp and understand. I had a guy who used to say “a one eyed man riding on a horse should be able to understand” I think about this all the time 😅

i know that codebase, and the associated btcd codebase very intimately.
it is like being in the room where the shit is hitting the fan trying to do anything with it. i mean literally, it will raise your blood pressure.
i wish i could clean it up because whoever is paying for its maintenance clearly is being ripped off, or not paying enough.
also, taproot is basically just a mechanism for addressing contract addresses. you have the root, which is a regular segwit address, and then you can tap into that with basically infinite sub-addresses.
some of the terminology and design and explanations of the things really leave something to be desired.

I think the notes still appear in people’s timelines though. Also, you need to explicitly choose for a note to disappear after 24 hours if you want it to disappear. A new event kind will be needed in order for stories not to appear in feeds. https://i.nostr.build/72qV.png
I think it's all the liquidity required to perform it's clients transactions, so I say it will depend on the ASP size or vice-versa, but I am assuming the norm will be large amounts, basically the same as big LN nodes now but instead of users putting up front it will be the ASP.

Are you only using your relay when switching apps?
I think the main benefit is that you have your notes on your own relay so you can theoretically guarantee that they will always exist. Whereas your notes on someone else’s relay can/will be deleted at some point.

I have been running a nostr relay (the fabulous strfry) for two months now. I always add my relay every time I switch nostr app / client but the feed / timeline / whatever you call it - is always very different from app to app.

There isn’t the equivalent of the Loki or Njord for Whatsminer. I would’ve definitely done that otherwise. Would’ve have been way easier with the failsafe design I’m trying to build as well.

The church is Charlemagne's cathedral, in the newer Gothic section.

She told me if we had #Stories (only 24hours) like on Instagram or #Reels (Short 1 min videos that you can scroll) like on Instagram, Snapchat, TickTock… that it would make it easier to post & would encourage girls as well as younger people to migrate here + post more here more, because there is nothing to think about in terms of what to write. It’s just day to day, moment to moment life as is and in easy to digest blips (short attention span).
I think she is right, because even telegram and WhatsApp added stories, so there is obviously something there.
