Hmmm don't know much about that, never used it. I wrote this zap server below, and actively work on it if you're ever interested in trying. I need to figure out how the different clients are pulling this info and what they do with the zap receipt

What Kind of zap server are you using?
I can see I am sending zap receipts to some relays but have also timed out checking for the invoice on a few prob need to be a bit more generous with the timeout.
FWIW, this isn't working on damus or primal for my lnurl either, not sure how it is implemented differently there.

I don't know what's going on, it is working in certain clients. I am getting the sats to my node and can see all successful logs on my zap server but certain clients either can't generate an invoice though working fine on nostrudel.
I'l' have to pick this back up later

That is a good idea, I was managing a metadata updater tool via DM and it was working great but haven't worked on it in a while or pushed up that branch. I guess I could still construct the DMs in a GUI client with buttons but like the idea of any client being able to do that.

One off commands for now, Its basically just a single event kind with tags added to perform the moderation. I have seen discussion of replaceable metadata document which might be a better approach and would probably have a better chance of being adopted.
I'm not sure what the best way to go about this is yet, this was admittedly a fire from the hip approach to just experiment and would put it out there for discussion.

I've been experimenting with relay administration using notes sent from a GUI client, specifically leveraging my own kind 42021 note (note spec to follow). I’ve developed a basic proof of concept that allows Nostr relay operators (or other implementations if they eventually support this kind) to:
- Ban or allow pubkeys and kinds from posting to your relay.
- Delete stored events from a specific pubkey.
-View the allow list for pubkeys and kinds.
All of this can be done without the need to SSH into the server or store private keys on your relay or computer. This is just a test case—there are already operators managing relays through notes, but there isn’t a standard relay admin API yet. There’s also ongoing discussion about whether this approach is the right one or if relay operators should instead use a web client for management.
I welcome any feedback or criticism of this approach and greatly appreciate anyone willing to test it out!

That sounds like an insanely high number of deletion requests. Do you validate those requests relay side before deleting?
It almost sounds like a bad actor trying to delete other peoples notes. Will definitely be adding a custom metric on my relay to track this from now on... very interesting.

I agree with you, I can ban people/ delete notes from my relay right now and nobody would know. I'm working on some relay management stuff via notes and there is some discussion as to whether these notes should be public to determine who is banned and who is doing the banning.
Personally as a relay operator, I feel that I am under no obligation to store anyone's notes for free and can delete and block users for any reason I see fit and don't owe anyone an explanation for that - banned users should just find another relay to relay their notes.

Who will be the first client (or is there there one already???) that allows you to mute a % of a persons posts?
I have some follows that I ultimately would like to continue to follow and don't want to mute them, but they post probably about 100 notes a day and just pollutes my feed.
Not even sure % alone would solve the problem but it would be a step in the right direction.

I made this a little while ago as I was getting zaps to an old address, but just pushed up some changes. It's just a python script that queries all queries all online relays, identifies relays with old events, rebroadcasts the latest verified kind 0 event to those relays and reports the status of the rebroadcast.

Wrote a script to seek out old/problematic versions of a kind 3 contact list and so far have found about 25 relays that are storing versions of a contact list with an empty relay section and even more that are storing a very old version of my contact list. This could very likely be the cause of the weird relay behavior I recently experienced on Damus.
Need to keep plugging away and figure out what is going on here and see if I can track this down to a particular client.
