Finally some great waves over the weekend. Canggu today was 3-4ft and fun!! Ketut shot these photos from 7am to 10am and it was a cracking Sunday morning. Humidity is at at 84%, might be a bit of a storm tonight and the breeze is a really light south westerly at 4kph.
If you get up early, you’ll catch the really low tide (-0.2m) tomorrow at 5:24am, with the 1.9m high tide at 11:43am and the next low (0.5m) at 4:54pm.
The surf forecast is showing some similar conditions tomorrow to today, but a really long period swell is hitting from Wednesday onwards, not big, but should be a bit getter again. Enjoy the week.

I think we misunderstood nostr.
By focusing on building Twitter clones we drifted apart of seeing what this technology is truly about.
When the internet got invented people thought the way to go is to put newspaper onto the internet and that this would be the “revolution”. We made the same mistake by saying nostr enables social media 2.0.
I do think we need to start move from preaching and selling nostr and rather focus on the actual things nostr enables.
Lets create a new innovative form of email list for content creators - or an online shop that enables permissionless payments - or a travel app that enables to see what your friends like in a city - or a podcasting app that does integrates a social component (these products are enabled by nostr - this is not nostr) see the shift?
What if we want nostr to fix too much at once right now and that keeps us from making progress in the things that actually matter?

NIP-60 と NIP-61 が生えたのでかいよね。ライトニングの仕組み一から理解してちゃんとウォレット扱えるようになるのは大変なので、npub があればすぐ zap 受け取れる状態になるのは良い☆
Nostr に人を呼ぶときに、ライトニングウォレット作らせて zap 受け取りさせる設定方法の説明が一番めんどいので:
0xChat 使わせる → nsec 生やさせる → npub.cash を LN アドレスに設定させる
の流れでとりま強制的に zap 受け取りを Cashu Wallet 宛にさせることができるので、しばらくこれでいい気がしてる 2024。

Bluesky is an app that runs in on the AT protocol. Nostr is a protocol. People can’t go to an App Store and download Nostr.
The apps need to market themselves. Marketing the protocol simply gets you more developers.
There are other factors related to branding that are not helping Nostr, but starting with the apps instead of the protocol goes a long way.

I’ve heard of peoples’ following lists or relay configurations getting mixed up when switching clients. I believe there’s a tool to restore some of it… but man I can’t remember it for the life of me

How does #bluesky do it? #simplex has good notifications but costs a lot of battery to make it work.
Hope they do but many may fear they'll start from nothing more than a server and no connections if Bluesky deems them dangerous for whatever reason.
Take the risk and self censor with Bluesky for access to more content, or build on nostr and allow total freedom knowing you'll be able to connect to at leased %90 of the more limited user base.
