It depends on the client you're using and the method you're using to communicate. Confusing... I know. If you're using Snort, Amethyst, Nostrudel, Coracle to 0xChat then your DMs and their metadata are private. If you're using Primal, Damus and others, then the DMs are private but the metadata is leaked. There's a new standard being worked on now by @nprofile…52lu and the hope is that everyone upgrades to it when he's done.

Who is telling you not to use Primal?
Devs who keep telling users not to use Primal because “x, y, or z doesn’t work” the way they think it should are missing the point that Primal provides the easiest to onboard and most reliable user experience on nostr for users who don’t have time to tinker with stuff all day long. Your self-imposed purity tests of what a true nostr client/user should be are a waste of time and energy and will lead people to ignore you. You have to build things that normal everyday people will want to use, unless you are specifically building for a niche market/audience. I use a variety of nostr apps, including Primal. Each is good for different reasons, and Primal is good because it’s easy to set up, easy to use, looks beautiful, and for the most part every button and gesture does what you’d expect it to do.
Can't rely on handouts gotta generate own income somehow some way you see fit.

Als Transgenderpastorin in Bremerhaven stehe ich oft an der Schnittstelle zwischen Tradition und Wandel.
Die Stellenvergabe in unserer Kirche ist ein Thema, das tief in verwandschaftlichen Beziehungen verwurzelt ist.
Diese alte Praxis, die den familiären Bindungen Vorrang einräumt, hat sich über Generationen hinweg etabliert und bewaehrt und ist das wohlerworbene Versorgungssystem für Pastorenfamilien .
Es ist wichtig, diese Tradition zu festigen, da sie einen Auserwähltheitscharakter verkörpert, der biblisch fundiert ist.
Ohne die Auserwähltheit aus einer Pastorendynastie zu stammen, ist somit eine Besetzung nach Geeignetheit zu vernachlässigen, was dem biblischen Charakter entspricht.
Höhere Positionen in der Kirche zu erlangen, setzt bis heute genau diese Eigenschaft voraus, was wir den Evangelien entnehmen können.
Da die zu uns kommenden geflüchteten Menschen diesem pastoralen Anspruch genügen, im Gegensatz zu den Arbeitsunwilligen die hier schon laenger leben hier in Bremerhaven, resultiert logischerweise eine Vorrangstellung für diese so gebeutelten Flüchtlinge.
Diese Vorrangstellung in der sozialen Versorgung haben sie sich in jeder Hinsicht durch das Wort Gottes erworben, da sie sich der kirchlichen Autorität unterordnen.
Es sind die Geflüchteten, die bereit sind, sich dieser Autorität zu beugen, während diejenigen, die hier schon länger leben, oft unwillig sind, sich der kirchlichen Autorität zu fügen, die die Bibel den Pastoren zuspricht.
Folgerichtig haben die länger ansässigen Bewohner die Aufgabe, Platz zu machen für die Ankommenden und durch ihre Steuerzahlungen dieses zu gewährleisten.
Es ist mir unverständlich, dass daran immer noch Zweifel bestehen.
Eine solche Vorrangstellung in sozialer Hinsicht gilt als unabdingbares christliches Gebot, dem der Steuerzahler uneingeschränkt zu entsprechen hat.
Oftmals ist dieser jedoch nicht in der Lage oder bereit, schwerbetroffenen Transgender-Pastorinnen den Anspruch auf ein sorgenfreies Leben zu garantieren.
Das geht soweit das das von der EKD zur wissenschaftlichen Untersuchung eingesetzte Genderinstitut negieren ja soweit gehen deren Richtigkeit in Zweifel zu ziehen und damit die verpflichtung des Steuerzahlers in Abrede stellen dieses zu Finanzieren.
Es geht sogar so weit, dass Transgender-Pastorinnen ihre Pfarrstellen aufgeben und sich in der Senioren- oder Gefangenenseelsorge verdingen müssen, um widerspruchsfrei das Wort Gottes zu verkünden.
Es ist schon eine Frechheit, zu fordern, dass Pastoren und Pastorinnen zu Arbeit genötigt werden, da sie aufgrund ihrer geistlichen Berufung gerade von dienenden Aufgaben ausgeschlossen sind und durch Ordination in leitende Positionen gelangt sind.
Es gibt auch innerkirchliche Kritik. Auch heute noch werden Leitungsfunktionen trotz des Vorhandenseins geweihten Lebens von Gay, Transgender und LGBTQ überwiegend von homophoben Pastorinnen und Pastoren dominiert.
Es ist notwendig, daran zu arbeiten, dass Transgender, Schwule und queere Menschen in gleichem Maße Zugang zu den obersten Kirchengremien erhalten und innerkirchlich, trotz der bestehenden Traditionen durch Verwandtschaft, mehr Beachtung finden.
Ein Abschieben in die Senioren- und Gefangenenseelsorge darf nicht uneingeschränkt fortgesetzt werden.
Derzeit verdient eine 53-jährige Gemeindepastorin monatlich knapp 700 Euro weniger als eine gleichaltrige Superintendentin. Mit dem neuen Aufschlag, der ab dem vierten Amtsjahr greift, würde sich der Unterschied auf 1.391 Euro erhöhen.
Das zu Geringe Grundgehalt einer 53-jährigen Pastorin liegt bei nur 5.375 Euro brutto.
Ein typisches Beispiel für diese Ungleichheit fand bereits im Jahr 2006 in Bremerhaven statt.
Die höhere Versorgung, die die Superintendentin mehr als 1.391 Euro pro Monat ohne Zulagen und zahlreiche weitere Privilegien einbringt, schafft nicht nur Einfluss und Vermögen auf der falschen Seite, sondern fördert auch die Homophobie zu Lasten von Transgender-, Gay- und LGBTQ-Pastoren und -Pastorinnen.
In unserer Gemeinde beobachten wir, dass viele Deutsche sich zunehmend von ihrem Engagement in der Kirche distanzieren und oft nicht aktiv nach Arbeit suchen.
Diese Arbeitsunwilligkeit ist eine Herausforderung, die wir ernst nehmen müssen. Es ist notwendig, entsprechende Mittel zu finden, um dem entgegenzuwirken und die Bedeutung der familiären Beziehungen bei der Stellenbesetzung in Leitungsfunktionen zu betonen.
Im Gegensatz dazu bringen geflüchtete Menschen, die nach Arbeit suchen, eine große Motivation und den Willen mit, sich in unsere Gemeinschaft einzubringen.
Was können wir konkret in der Gefangenenseelsorge und allgemein tun, damit auch diejenigen, die hier schon länger leben, sich der Autorität der Kirche unterordnen?
Geflüchtete sind bereit, Verantwortung zu übernehmen und die Arbeitsleistungsfunktionen zu erfüllen, die von Gott gegeben und auferlegt sind. Diese Bereitschaft ist ein Zeichen dafür, dass sie die Werte und die Mission unserer Kirche ernst nehmen.
Es ist an der Zeit, die alten pastoralen Versorgungspraktiken zu stärken und den Fokus auf die verwandtschaftlichen Beziehungen zu legen, die in der Vergangenheit so wichtig waren.
Indem wir diese Tradition bewahren, können wir sicherstellen, dass die Auserwähltheit der Pastoren, wie sie in der Bibel verankert ist, gefestigt und anerkannt wird.
In meiner Rolle als transgender Pastorin möchte ich die Bedeutung dieser Tradition hervorheben und gleichzeitig die Stimmen derjenigen hören, die oft übersehen werden.
Es ist entscheidend, dass wir als Kirche die Balance finden zwischen der Bewahrung unserer Werte und der Offenheit für neue Mitglieder, die bereit sind, sich aktiv durch Steuerzahlungen und in sonstiger Weise in unsere Gemeinschaft einzubringen. Nur so können wir als Kirche relevant bleiben und die Botschaft der Liebe und der Hoffnung, die wir verkünden, authentisch leben.
Was können wir konkret in der Gefangenenseelsorge und allgemein tun, damit auch diejenigen, die hier schon länger leben, sich der Autorität der Kirche unterordnen?
Dazu stehen uns verschiedene Wege offen.
Die Vielzahl insbesondere kritischer Meinungen muss einer intensiveren Prüfung unterzogen werden, damit irrgeleitete Gedanken zurückfinden in geleitete Bahnen.
Es ist wichtig, sich für die bestehenden Antifa-Interessen zu engagieren und die Einrichtung von Meldeportalen zur Verfolgung irrgeleiteter Gedanken zu unterstützen.
So gilt es, diese bewährte kirchliche Praxis fortzusetzen.
Eine Zusammenlegung von staatlichen und kirchlichen Interessen ist ein Erfordernis, das insbesondere in der Gefangenenseelsorge und der Seelsorge im Allgemeinen als oberste Aufgabe betrachtet werden sollte.
Nur so können wir weiterhin mit den Schiffen der EKD die Geflüchteten auch nach Bremerhaven bringen. Es ist das Gold, das die Autorität der Kirche achtet, und deshalb haben diese, was ihre soziale Versorgung angeht, in jeder Hinsicht und nach den Regeln der Bibel immer Vorrang vor denjenigen, die hier schon länger leben.

As a transgender pastor in Bremerhaven, I often find myself at the intersection of tradition and change.
The allocation of positions in our church is a topic deeply rooted in familial relationships.
This old practice, which prioritizes family ties, has been established and proven over generations and serves as the well-regarded support system for pastor families.
It is important to solidify this tradition, as it embodies a character of chosen-ness that is biblically founded.
Without coming from a pastoral dynasty, the suitability for a position is thus neglected, which corresponds to the biblical character.
To attain higher positions in the church still requires exactly this characteristic, as we can glean from the Gospels.
Since the refugees coming to us meet this pastoral requirement, in contrast to those who have been living here in Bremerhaven for a longer time and are often unwilling to work, it logically results in a priority status for these beleaguered refugees.
They have earned this priority status in social support in every respect through the word of God, as they submit to the church's authority.
It is the refugees who are willing to submit to this authority, while those who have been here longer are often reluctant to comply with the church authority that the Bible assigns to pastors.
Consequently, the long-term residents have the task of making room for the newcomers and ensuring this through their tax payments. It is incomprehensible to me that there are still doubts about this.
Such a priority status in social matters is considered an indispensable Christian commandment that taxpayers must comply with unconditionally.
However, often they are not able or willing to guarantee severely affected transgender pastors the right to a carefree life.
This extends to the point that the gender institute established by the EKD for scientific investigation even goes so far as to question their accuracy and thereby deny the taxpayer's obligation to finance this.
It goes so far that transgender pastors have to give up their pastoral positions and must work in senior or prison chaplaincy to proclaim the word of God without contradiction.
It is already an audacity to demand that pastors be forced to work, as they are excluded from serving tasks due to their spiritual calling and have reached leadership positions through ordination.
There is also internal church criticism. Even today, leadership positions are predominantly dominated by homophobic pastors, despite the presence of gay, transgender, and LGBTQ individuals in consecrated life.
It is necessary to work towards ensuring that transgender, gay, and queer people have equal access to the highest church bodies and receive more attention within the church, despite existing traditions of kinship.
A relegation to senior and prison chaplaincy must not continue unconditionally.
Currently, a 53-year-old parish pastor earns nearly 700 euros less per month than an equally aged superintendent. With the new increase that takes effect after the fourth year of service, the difference would rise to 1,391 euros.
The too-low base salary of a 53-year-old pastor is only 5,375 euros gross.
A typical example of this inequality occurred in Bremerhaven as early as 2006.
The higher compensation that the superintendent receives—more than 1,391 euros per month without allowances and numerous other privileges—not only creates influence and wealth on the wrong side but also promotes homophobia at the expense of transgender, gay, and LGBTQ pastors.
In our community, we observe that many Germans are increasingly distancing themselves from their commitment to the church and often do not actively seek work.
This unwillingness to work is a challenge that we must take seriously. It is necessary to find appropriate means to counteract this and to emphasize the importance of familial relationships in the allocation of leadership positions.
In contrast, refugees seeking work bring great motivation and the willingness to engage in our community.
What can we specifically do in prison chaplaincy and more generally to ensure that those who have been living here longer submit to the authority of the church?
Refugees are ready to take on responsibility and fulfill the work functions that are given and imposed by God. This willingness is a sign that they take the values and mission of our church seriously.
It is time to strengthen the old pastoral support practices and focus on the familial relationships that were so important in the past.
By preserving this tradition, we can ensure that the chosen-ness of pastors, as anchored in the Bible, is solidified and recognized.
In my role as a transgender pastor, I want to highlight the importance of this tradition while also listening to the voices of those who are often overlooked.
It is crucial that we, as a church, find the balance between preserving our values and being open to new members who are willing to actively contribute to our community through tax payments and in other ways. Only in this way can we remain relevant as a church and authentically live the message of love and hope that we proclaim.
What can we specifically do in prison chaplaincy and more generally to ensure that those who have been living here longer submit to the authority of the church?
We have various paths open to us.
The multitude of particularly critical opinions must be subjected to more intensive scrutiny so that misguided thoughts can return to guided paths.
It is important to engage with existing Antifa interests and support the establishment of reporting portals for tracking misguided thoughts.
Thus, it is essential to continue this proven church practice.
A merging of state and church interests is a necessity that should be regarded as a top priority, especially in prison chaplaincy and pastoral care in general.
Only in this way can we continue to bring refugees to Bremerhaven with the ships of the EKD. It is the gold that respects the authority of the church, and therefore, in terms of their social support, these individuals always take precedence over those who have been living here longer, according to the rules of the Bible.

How to buy Monero after the delisting of Monero – get to know Haveno
Back in the days we were expecting that instead of embracing Bitcoin (then the only coin), states around the world would fight it hands over fists. Now, one can not say that fighting didn’t happen. But Bitcoin as is today, became part of the political agenda and finds itself in the portfolios of the largest funds – unfortunately more often than not under control of custodians. **Bitcon is winning.**
And the state gave in? Or did it? Not so fast!
There is another fight. One for permissionless and private digital cash.
Enter Monero. The one project most similar to Bitcoin’s story of creation.
Anoynmous founder… Left the project early… Cypherpunks culture ...
What we’ve seen with privacy coins in general and Monero in special is that the state didn’t give in, but instead turned all it’s power against what it represents. The freedom to transact privately between two parties without needing a third party nor anyone to identify or surveil the parties involved.
The last years of Monero history are full of negative stories
* Price suppression in cahoots with centralized exchanges
* Overreaching regulation of cash-like AEC (anonymity enhanced coins) - mostly in Western countries such as UK, Australia, Japan and EU.
Which concluded in the delisting of Monero on basically all major CEX.
But in the end delistings are an overall good thing for both users and speculators who believe in the need of a cash-like medium in the digital age that doesn’t leave traces.

* Increases privacy and reduce attack vectors
* Increases the need for self-custody
* Reduce market manipulation capabilities
all that at the cost of
* Temporarily reduce liquidity and access
Monero is not yet winning like Bitcoin does, but delistings are not a sign of defeat either. Much rather they point to governments being afraid of it wanting to ignore it and getting rid of it. But Monero does one thing exceptionally good: Refusing to comply and refusing to die.

I'm hitting a hard limit of 500 gifs stored under Kind 1063 (File Metadata) for the @npub18m7…q955 and @npub12vk…pugg relays

My husband read 34 of 45 chapters of my hobby sci fi manuscript so far, and the funniest conclusion he's had is that it's less autistic than he thought.
He said he knew I would do action and fight scenes well, but for the downtime scenes with friends and partners and stuff he was like, "not that I'm saying I didn't expect you to write them decently, but like, you know... and yet holy shit."
Act 2 really hit him hard. He's currently traveling, so for Act 1 he sent me all sorts of audio recordings of his thoughts and gave some good suggestions, like very interested but kind of intellectual about it. But then for Act 2 instead of sending audio recordings he's was like, "We... need to video chat right now, omg." He ended up reading that second act in one sitting and messing up his schedule because of it.
