昨天儿子上了一周国际学校回家和我说了个事情，非常值得思考，他和一个公认水平不行的同学下棋，结果同学赢了，去各寝室吹牛，但是没有一个人相信他，反而嘲讽他是不是明明自己输了，但是口头上宣布胜利，像个小丑一样。。。
我儿子因为从小和我下棋，棋理精通，班上基本没有对手，但是这次明明是真的输了，却没有人相信。这就让我想到了，其实群众只愿意相信他相信的东西。富人带个假表，也会被认为是真表，我就是带个真表，也会被认为是假的。。
有时候群众的信任和认可，可能真不是那么重要，自己舒服，自己认可就行了。另一方面取得了什么成就，没必要马上吹嘘，实力在，慢慢就会被认可的。。

Nostr has lists, but few clients fully support them. So far that is limited to Nostrudel and Gossip.
I still have an open bounty for list support to be added to Amethyst. If I had an iOS device Id offer a bounty for Damus as well, tbough its less likely to implement.
For now I manage my lists in Gossip, and can at least filter views in Amethyst based on them. This is far superior to simple follow lists and a long term goal of mine is to abolish kind 3 in favor of static lists and kind 81 relationships for dynamic lists. Being able to filter using someone elses curated list would also be great
On the trend side, that's best served by good DVMs doing analytics and clients improving how they are integrated.

Now, an important thing. Given that is how bitcoin has developed, there is a social contract between those that build it, work on it, maintain it, and the user base. We have to respect the way in which bitcoin is used. And that is primarily as a SoV.
Anyone that is NOT doing that is simply flexing, and putting their own ego before the project. These are the dangerous people, because they will bur the thing to the ground if they dont get what they want, far more than any competitor.
As you rightly state, bitcoin is for everyone, and that gives them the freedom to do what they want with bitcoin. Anyone saying otherwise is an attack on bitcoin.

I can’t troubleshoot now, but from the experience with YT rips and trying to transcode them, usually makes them either bigger or corrupted. We’ve seen a fair share of such uploads in the past. You can try “curl -O <url>” and then use ffprobe to see what is going on with it. Usually it is either broken bframe or something to that tune. Uploading the direct YT download is the most optimal way to share them.

Answer me this. If in one of the most critical counties in the most critical states, the losing Republican candidate was suddenly getting a last minute surge of votes, and the Dem validators were shoved out of the room, the door was locked, and ONLY the republican checkers were in the room, and the Republican candidate ended up winning with a landslide of last minute votes. The when the Dems contested it, after literal physical altercations with police trying to get in the room to do the ONE job that is required for them to do. Then it goes to court and instead of getting verification and a simple count, it’s declared “legitimate” because they could see through the window 40 feet away that the vote was being tallied by a room full of Republicans… Tell me you don’t have a problem with that scenario and that you would just trust them.

Derek, I appreciate you. I know we sit on different sides of this but I like that on nostr we follow each other and talk about it even if we don't agree.
I posted it because I think it's worth discussing. I find it interesting that these "glitches" seem to only go in one direction. Have you seen it go in the other direction? Not being sarcastic here but tone doesn't carry well online.
Second, I do think small scale fraud/cheating is possible and in an election that was as close as the last or this that can have big impacts. Last there are videos of people in leadership positions within dominion gloating about how they rigged things.
So could it be faulty hardware sure... could it be more ... I think so. I don't expect you to agree and that's life.

I'm more hands off the sheep for the most part. They get round bales moved into the pen and I dump loads of spent brewing grain out for them to devour. Think about it? If someone is going to cheat, they're not going to do it in plain sight. The cheating would happen under the hood, in the software. What does showing a wrong selection do? Nothing besides make people choose whom they originally wanted. You're not a very good criminal or cheater if you tell everyone you're cheating.

Yesterday was a serious mixed bag. After my predawn grain run I moved our Starlink antenna like they were suggesting for better signal and after the move the antenna is dead. Refuses to talk to the router.... and ZERO help from Starlink so far. Rather unimpressed.
I DID get the roof extension built for the patio though which I have been wanting to do for years. It works wonderfully now and has the drip edge much farther from the concrete and is minimizing the splash back towards the door. Snow load will be my only concern.
My garlic has FINALLY shipped 3 weeks late and @nprofile…0yhr still refuses to respond regarding my order...

Nostr does not need multiple relays at enormous scale, that premise is completely incorrect. Users don't need view of the entire network at all times, they tend to group into circles, that's why Americans bitcoiners are seldom served up Indonesian politics tweets etc. And those circles can easily run on a handful of relays.
