They do not build products for markets anymore. They build platforms that REPLACE MARKETS, to then seek rent on using those.
Investors these days have to spend gigantic amounts of money to keep a company afloat long enough to reach that state.

I think this moment of Trump demanding his supporters to parrot an obvious lie, that they themselves could verify to be false, is a moment where he is closest to Putin that he has ever been.

This is a great piece of writing.
However, there is one shortcoming: Generative #AI is useful for performing ”flooding the zone” tactics of election interference at a way lower level of sophistication than it is for defending against it.
We dont have sufficiently advanced models, they are not cheap enough & can’t be deployed in time.

Meidän olisi korkea aika myöntää, että juuri se yritysten ”bisnessalaisuuksia” suojeleva neoliberaali politiikka, joka mahdollistaa omistajuussuhteiden piilottamisen, on ratkaisevassa roolissa Venäjän hyökkäyssodan mahdollistajana. Esimerkiksi Kokoomuksen henkeen ja vereen ajama uudistus jolla poistettiin yritysten kolmansien osapuolien omistajuuksien rekisteröintitarve ns. ”kuoriyrityksissä”.

You must understand they don't view even the function of public speaking the same
To find someone more close to their way of life is to go to Russia. There no-one speaks publicly what they feel. The function of public speech is strictly to declare allegiances
And allegiances is everything they declare. It's almost a mistake to dwell on what they are saying too long. Sure, it's bullshit, but the function of the speech is not to discuss facts

This Israel bombing a school reminds me of what happened during the Syrian civil war, where Russia & Iran turned up to help the dictator retain power.
UN gave them coordinates of hospitals & schools to protect. What they did they used those coordinates to explicitly bomb them.
