To repeat the lie is a test of loyalty.
None of these words matter, as much as how it enables their supporters to feel closer together, and more isolated by the world.
The more they go against reality, paradoxically, the closer their community feels to each other.
The harder they have to work to parrot the lies, the more they prove to their fellows that they won’t betray them.
