This actually went quickly because I told to use the Alexandria repo as a code base. Everytime it got stuck, I told it to go look at Alexandria, again, and that got it pretty far. Would probably have to feed it more Kind 01 examples, to get it moving from here, but I need to clean that up, first.

I think the opposite: the best thing it's good for is setting up the skeleton, arranging the boxes on the page, importing all of the libaries, etc. Basically, like a framework.

That's probably why Primal built their server, but I don't want a server inbetween the user and their relays. I want smarter relays that can talk amongst themselves, on the server side.
That way, someone who prefers their own relay can switch ours out for the own, and everything in the client would still work. I love being able to use my own relay, and I want that for everyone.

We'd be the customer. We'd make Realy a public-facing mirror to theforest.nostr1.com and theforest.nfdb.com (or whatever domain Semi bought). And could make another mirror for the git server relay.
We already have strfry, you see. We specifically wanted something very different. We're going to have fallback plans. You should need to hit mutliple different relays on multiple different machines in mutliple different countries, manned by mutliple different admins, as our potential attack vector is the nation state. We're paranoid as heck.
Our current plan is to just hardwire it to the uploader and then use theforest AUTH to sign into the uploading web page, but we could then AUTH to Realy, directly, and then our subscribers could access services over HTTP and whatever else nifty you build.
We don't need it, yet, tho. It'll be at least 6 months, before we release anything using it. We can all just ruminate on it, a bit. Our ideas tend to get better, over time.

It makes more sense as a read, than as a write, as it's completely open to all writers, including a lot of spam, and it pulls in most publicly-visible notes.
Having us look for replies in gigantic aggregators doesn't make sense, for an outbox model, as the client could always include an aggregator as a fallback for things it should be able to display, but can't find in the outbox.
It all needs to be thought-through a bit more. We're thinking. 🤔

Follow lists are the solution to the problem of finding some particular subset of items (in this case, npubs) within a very large set. A set the size of "all Twitter users" or "all Instagram users", for example.
They are a solution to a problem we do not have.
Our problem is the opposite:

This Sybil tool is going to be a doozy, once it's done, because it has to cover all sorts of edge cases for testing. The bloat will be awesome, and it's already sluggish.
So... we're building a separate book-publishing API with Python, that will upload from a webform to our self-hosted Realy and relay.tools-hosted TheCitadel relays. The markup/PDF/LaTeX/Doc/Text/etc. automatic conversion will happen behind that one, and tap into all of those sweet Python AI libraries, so it's going to be much sleeker and faster, and *smarter*.
That's where the mass-uploading will run and we have a new dev for that. We'll announce who it is, with the first online increment, which will only handle Asciidoc.

Due to the donations we have received, we can now lower the prospective monthly relay fee down to 1250 sats.
The fundraiser continues. Once it's complete, we can offer the git server for 500 sats per month, which is less than fifty cents. Enough to keep out spam and cover the relay costs, not enough to prevent someone from renting space on the machine.

The problem with 3k-5k is that it's prohibitively expensive to some people in some places, at the same time as it's not enough to sustainably offer the cool CI/CD stuff that @npub1qdj…fqm7 and @npub16ux…lra7 and etc. have planned. That stuff will need computation and performance to be attractive, so we need a much higher price-point, for that, perhaps even further-tiered for consumption and size and etc.
We also had so much interest in sponsoring, that we decided to bring in stingier, low-ball offer for #smolldevs and then send the bigger players the bill with a higher tier.

My code base is already beyond the reach of anyone inexperienced, I think. And I'm not a dev, just a programmer.
Large, elegant, systems wouldn't be possible, but those are the ones that are the most-fun to use.
I'm paying for a special coding AI, as well. The quality differences in the offerings is gigantic.

As someone more specialized on test and UX, it saves me a lot of stackoverflow searching, which is nice, but I really have to sort of inch forward and constantly test because it occasionally breaks stuff or generates wrong solutions. The more time I spend writing the scenarios and tests, beforehand, the better the coding part is. The resulting code is better than what I usually write, but there's lots of room for patterns, tighter algorithms, and other architectural improvements.
Someone specialized on coding, probably feels that way about tests.
TL;DR -- It can leverage your current talent stack and even out your weaknesses, but a specialist would get better results. Since nobody is a specialist in everything, it's good that we at #GitCitadel can cross-pollinate the same codebase. Leverage upon leverage.
I'm now more convinced than ever, that this is going to have a bigger impact in making programmers faster and better, than in making them obsolete.

Programming with Cline-support in VS Codium.
It's tedious to get it to build what I want (on the first try, and it would need to be the first try, to be faster than I am), although writing the request in Gherkin scenarios and adding lots of reference material helps. Then I page through the changes, slowly, rewriting stuff at each step, nudging it toward the desired architectural and programmatic goal.
I'm completely underwhelmed by its ability to bug-fix, but it does a great job on documentation and unit tests. Integration tests are not very good, but that's my specialty, so that's okay. I might just start having it generate Gherkin automation, based upon my hand-written scenarios (which are the core of the development, not the code, as they determine what the user will experience).
The minor release, with bouts of manual intervention, manual expansion, manual test data creation, and manual testing, took 14 hours. Which is slightly faster than completely manual. The end result is slightly better code than I can write, with fewer minor errors, and the test coverage is much higher.
I'm next going to try a process, to see if I can make it more-efficient and get it to produce higher-quality results:
* manually write scenarios,
* manually create test data and tests,
* ask it to change the code to pass the tests and fulfill the scenarios,
* manually test everything,
* have it refactor everything,
* run the tests, again,
* have it expand the tests to cover the new stuff,
* run the tests, again,
* manually test,
* have it correct/add documentation,
* run the tests, again,
* have it refactor, again,
* run the tests, again,
* manually test,
* push to master,
* faint in exhaustion.
