One of the interesting mathy things about Nostr is that the relatively small pool of users increases the tendency for followers to all cluster around a small group (which is why trending is just the same npubs every day).
That keeps the user base from growing because everyone tries to talk to the same 10 people.
Someplace with a larger userbase would eventually separate into mutliple, overlapping pools of users.
