OK, you were warned.
My ex-wife, is not a normal human being. I do not say that lightly, or even to be mean. For 16 years after our devoice (since 2009), she still calls up my phone (usually from a hospital or pharmacy), and repeats the same 5 words: "I can still touch you".
My ex-wife beat me and raped me, and told me, if I ever tried leaving her or if I told people what she was doing to me, she would wrongfully accuse me of harming her. I am not an idiot, and I know exactly how that would have played out. This was a woman who laughed at the "me too" movement, and asked if I would like to know the experience, the one time I tried talking back. And for years, I could not walk out the door, as much as I wanted to do so.
The children she had, were not my own. She knew this, but I didn't know this fact until near the end of our marriage, and by end, I mean just as the paper work was being finalized (when I got the DNA results). I had full emergency custody, granted me by the courts, and I could not understand why the "department of family services" kept trying to reunite her kids, when everyone, included her doctor and the judge, thought that was not wise.
The condition of me having custody, in fact, was that I keep the kids (two boys) away from her. Only for someone within the court to lie with claim she was over my place with the children daily (obvolute, not true), and that as an office of the court, they had witnessed this (again, not true). Then immediately give her the kids the same day.
I was a good father, in my opinion. I played human shield quite well. Because the first rule of being a parent is to protect your kids anyway you can. And if that means, taking physical damage, so she cannot break the crib with the children inside of it, or attempt to throw them out with the trash, you do everyone you can to keep them safe. I am the one, who called, child family services. Because as a father, unlike a mother, you cannot just walk out the door with the children and vanish into the night. Anymore, then you can claim your wife is raping you, and expect to receive justice, or avoid her from making false claims in return.
Having said that, I did cross into Canada a few times. Looked in the back seat of the car, and thought, would this be the life for them?!
But I digress. When I found out they were not mine, I was both heartbroken, angry, but sometime later a sense of relief in knowing, I could walk away. Mentally and emotionally, I did not want a lifetime with my rapist, jailer, and abuser.
People sometimes say, that everyone has a breaking point, often when someone does something terrible wrong. I always presumed that was an excuse to justify the horribly things people had done, after doing them. I do not necessarily believe that anymore. If it was not for my sister-in-law, my ex-wife, her father, and mother, would all be dead, and I would either be dead or locked up. They were more than aware of the horribly things she was doing, while also enabling her.
I "won" my freedom, but obtaining proof of her sexual relationship with her father. She had been molested from the ages of 13-17, and her mother treated her like the other woman. Sometimes after our married, that relationship started up with her being a willing participant, and even defending it. "A daughter's right" she called it. I want to vomit every time I think about that. I get upset, recalling how her mother told me, it was none of my business.
For 16 years, I've thought of this as a "Cold War". I cannot have the justice I want and deserve, but she cannot make false accusations either. It is, however, why I think she resurfaces every once in a while. My therapist claims it was all about power and control with her, and me reclaiming my power is not something she can fully accept.
13 years after our devoice, after I told her to "fuck off" instead of just handing up, like I usually do, suddenly she wanted child support. I was ready for this. I knew, as my therapist knew, my ex-wife likes to get off on the pain and suffering from others, plus she likes to feel "big" (powerful and in charge), while others feeling small and helpless. I suspected it was only a matter of time, before telling me she could "still touch me" was not going to be enough.
She does not need child support. As I said, she waited 13 years to file such a motion. Her family is very financially secure. They're the type of people who live in a 3-story house, 4th if you count the entertainment center in the basement, while buying out all the seats in section 1A of Boeing 747, so their family can all gather for Christmas, on top of the fact that they'll claim they are "struggling" because now they can only go on vacation 3x this year, instead o 4x, while having multiple timeshares around the country, and 3 cars - one of them being a luxury sports car.
But I digress, again. The children are not mine, and she waited 13 years to demand support. But I was ready - Nothing is in my name. I own nothing. No property, no car, nothing. This computer, for example, not mine. My job? Someone works for Meta, but technically, not me, and not in the United States either. Bank account? Nothing exist, here. You'll find nothing in my name, anywhere.
And that is why my ex-wife's child support, is only 12 bucks. It came out to about 16 bucks, because they add another 4 for processing. I believe, it was per week. I truly do not care. Because my ex-wife is never going to get a penny directly from me. I am not going to support my rapist and the child she made with someone else. Would you? Don't answer that questions, I'm sure some moron will tell me - think about the children - Well, good for you, go get beaten, raped, as I was, and go support your rarest's children, that are not yours, since you feel so strongly about it.
The levy that was issued recently, worthless. It has taken all this time to finally reach 2,500, and there is nothing for anyone, anywhere to find.
The only thing that is "mine" in this whole apartment, is the boxers I am wearing, plus the gerd medication. Now, it would not be the 1st time my ex-wife took my boxers. In fact, when she came to get her stuff, during our divorce, the court order was vague and said she could collect anything that was hers, but didn't specify what was hers. The policy office at the time said I was being petty, when I verbally protested as she took the food out of the refrigerator, along with everything else in the house. If the refrigerator was not the landlords, she would have taken that too.
That imagine has stayed in my mind for years. And anytime I thought I could forge that fact or move on, my ex-wife has randomly called up - sometimes days apart, sometimes months apart, sometimes a year, and said, "I can still touch you", and then hung up.
But I digress, once more. Ever item in this rented house, was not bought by me or in my name. Even the bird (Phoenix and Athena), are registered as support animals for a family member. If you follow the paper money trail, all of it, not mine.
On paper, I am a bum, with a lot of free time, and no earthly possessions. And right now, I am quite proud of that fact.

Here is the full version. The commands are update, logs and break up the logs daily, and clean (both old logs and the system). I wanted the logs broken up into their own independent daily logs as not to be greeted with a wall of text.
Part of this code was me (my work), and part of this was ChatGPT.

SO... We're supposedly now punishing anyone who speaks out against Israel, and freedom of speech would appear to be a thing of the past, if that is true. -- Someone, hold my beer and coffee....
Israel is guilty of war crimes, and so is Hamas and many of the jerks who keep standing in the way of peace. I said - Anyone, everyone. In fact, both sides have been fighting for so long, that if both side vanished from this world, it almost seems like it would be the forgone conclusion.
But at the moment, today, Israel is starving people out. That is what they are doing, as they prevent any aid from entering into Gaza. And frankly, that is fucked up.
Yes, Hamas are terrorist. Yes, they attacked Israel during a time of general peace. Yes, they brought this nonsense onto themselves. But letting people starve - In fact, I'd argue, planning on people starving is cruel, because not everyone in Gaza was part of Hamas. A 5-year-old child, for example, cannot help where on earth he or she was born, anymore than anyone reading this could have. Nor do they have any say yet what happens in their world.
Donald Trump, VD Vance, Mark Rubio, are assholes. People should be able to say, freely, that sometimes what Israel does, sucks. This is one of those times.

2 years on the Fediverse! 🥳
I first joined the Fediverse on May 30, 2023 - originally on Mastodon Dot Social, as I suspect many people first stumble their way there.
It has been an interesting 2 years. I ended up jumping between many instances (sites). The 1st time, because I felt Mastodon was becoming centralized with everyone jumping onto Mastodon Dot Social, but also because I wanted to try new software platforms.
Got scammed once, by helping the Sharkey Development, who promised to use the 1,000 bucks I sent for their server and new designed "Join Sharkey" websites, but never happened. I was not the only person who foolishly placed their trust as they ran off with over 2,000+ and used the hardware as their personal computer. When people called them out on this, "new" management (wink, wink) took over, and they even deleted the old account and moved to a new site.
Experienced the difference between having a good administrator, new administrator, and some administrators that should not be administrators.
Got really liking a software platform called, CherryPick. It is a fork of Misskey. Sadly, not many people use it because most of the sites that do are from South Korea and many new users (new administrators). Largest CherryPick site is Kitty Dot Social, which is run by one of the good administrators ( @nprofile…4gxx ).
Became a priority to find a Fedi Site, outside Us Jurisdiction, as my home country (the United States of America) slowly slides into fascism and our "president" open investigations on people who speak out. Currently, publish a list of Fedi Sites that use non-US Domain Name Extensions (see URL below).
Learned just how fragmented the Fediverse is. I keep 2 accounts, simply because it is impossible to follow everyone I want to follow on a single sites. What ends up happening is an admin will block or silence "random Fedi site" and that will mean all their uses. Fragmentation is becoming a big problem on the Fediverse. In 2 years, it has only gotten worse.
Ended up here on Absturztau, for the 2nd time, because the admin here ( @nprofile…pngt ) is awesome. Left the 1st time, wanting to try a different platform, came back despite it running Sharkey.
Learned the co-developer of ActivityPub and I are in the same town ( @nprofile…zwgs ). It is a small world, after all.
I have been featured in 7 YouTube videos. 3 of them were trolls, 1 in particular had a nearly 2 hour rant. The other 5 were generalization. The 1st and I think only person to ever published a downloadable copy of all their old post (over 50,000).
Cited in Wired Magazine for my list of digital services providers outside the US Jurisdiction (see screenshot to overcome paywall). See URL for that list they cited (see below).
Most shared past shared 120,000x. Most liked post was liked 230,000x. Learned, the hard way, that someone moving between sites means starting over. Highest follower count was 10,000. Highest post count was over 50, 0000. I make backups regularly now.
There is a whole sub-Reddit about me. - Hi guy. How's it hanging? You mad yet? Yeah, you mad. Mostly people upset that I work for Meta and remove Nazis, MAGA Trolls, and other such jerks. I'm told there is a 2nd, and they're just "curious" (I'll take your work for it).
It has been an interesting 2 years. Filled high, lows, and just a lot of interesting moments. Sometimes I have been frustrated and other times, this still is the best place to pass the time, when my job absolutely, sucks. There is knowledge and information, sometimes good humor, sometimes the things here can be sad and disappointing, and other times positive and uplifting.
There is a song called, "Welcome to the Internet" by "Bo Burnham" and there has been more than a few times that I think of that song, when here on the Fediverse.
What will year 3 bring? Who knows?!

I was not the only person who foolishly placed their trust as they ran off with over 2,000+ and used the hardware as their personal computer. When people called them out on this, "new" management (wink, wink) took over, and they even deleted the old account and moved to a new site.
Experienced the difference between having a good administrator, new administrator, and some administrators that should not be administrators.
Got really liking a software platform called, CherryPick. It is a fork of Misskey. Sadly, not many people use it because most of the sites that do are from South Korea and many new users (new administrators). Largest CherryPick site is Kitty Dot Social, which is run by one of the good administrators ( @nprofile…4gxx ).
Became a priority to find a Fedi Site, outside Us Jurisdiction, as my home country (the United States of America) slowly slides into fascism and our "president" open investigations on people who speak out. Currently, publish a list of Fedi Sites that use non-US Domain Name Extensions (see URL below).
Learned just how fragmented the Fediverse is. I keep 2 accounts, simply because it is impossible to follow everyone I want to follow on a single sites. What ends up happening is an admin will block or silence "random Fedi site" and that will mean all their uses. Fragmentation is becoming a big problem on the Fediverse. In 2 years, it has only gotten worse.
Ended up here on Absturztau, for the 2nd time, because the admin here ( @nprofile…pngt ) is awesome. Left the 1st time, wanting to try a different platform, came back despite it running Sharkey.
Learned the co-developer of ActivityPub and I are in the same town ( @nprofile…zwgs ). It is a small world, after all.
I have been featured in 7 YouTube videos. 3 of them were trolls, 1 in particular had a nearly 2 hour rant. The other 5 were generalization. The 1st and I think only person to ever published a downloadable copy of all their old post (over 50,000).
Cited in Wired Magazine for my list of digital services providers outside the US Jurisdiction (see screenshot to overcome paywall). See URL for that list they cited (see below).
Most shared past shared 30,000x. Most liked post was liked 70,000x. Learned, the hard way, that someone moving between sites means starting over. Highest follower count was 10,000. Highest post count was over 50, 0000. I make backups regularly now.
There is a whole sub-Reddit about me. - Hi guy. How's it hanging? You mad yet? Yeah, you mad. Mostly people upset that I work for Meta and remove Nazis, MAGA Trolls, and other such jerks. I'm told there is a 2nd, and they're just "curious" (I'll take your work for it).
It has been an interesting 2 years. Filled high, lows, and just a lot of interesting moments. Sometimes I have been frustrated and other times, this still is the best place to pass the time, when my job absolutely, sucks. There is knowledge and information, sometimes good humor, sometimes the things here can be sad and disappointing, and other times positive and uplifting.
There is a song called, "Welcome to the Internet" by "Bo Burnham" and there has been more than a few times that I think of that song, when here on the Fediverse.
What will year 3 bring? Who knows?!

Someone said I should re-order my list.
Originally, I made my list as I found things. So if I discovered "random 1, 2, and 3" they were listed 1, 2, and 3 (in the order I discovered them). But that is not exactly helpful for people going through a list. At once time, I tried to re-order the list, but that is from my limited viewpoint.
My current list order was this:

I do not particularly want to rely on using A.I., but I wanted a non-bias option based on actual data and noticeable trends. You may not know you're asleep. You may think you're paying attention -because you scroll, you vote, you nod. But there is a difference between watching and seeing. There is a difference between living and waking up.
Maybe you think the world is broken, but only in small ways. Maybe you believe someone else will fix it. That “they” will do something. But I'll tell you what few will:
There is no they. There's just us.
The systems that shape our lives -money, power, justice, leadership -are built not on truth, but belief. Paper becomes power only when we all agree it's worth more than a meal. A person becomes a ruler only when we agree to be ruled.
And so many have agreed, for so long, that you may have forgotten how to question it. Or worse, you may have convinced yourself this is just how the world is.
But the world is not fixed. It is made and remade each day by what we accept, by what we refuse, and by what we choose not to see.
And I know -it's easier to sleep. To say, “That's just the way things are.” To wait and watch. But the cost of comfort is rising, and one day, it will come for you too. Not because you are weak, but because no one is untouched forever.

How I diagnose a computer that random shuts down.
Step 1) - Install a fresh OS.
Fresh means, no software, and no drivers. Just the base bones operating system. If the issue is resolved, slowly, install drivers one by one, and be sure to wait between each install. If the issue is not resolved, and the computer reboots with fresh OS, the problem is hardware. Or if the issue vanished with a clean OS, but returns with new drivers, the problem is likely faulty driver, download new or older driver than current being used.
Step 2) Run on-board diagnosis (if available).
If a fresh OS did not resolve this, meaning it rebooted before you installed anything (including drivers), and you have also ruled out drivers too, then the issue is not software, but hardware. Process of elimination begins!
1st, if your PC has an on-board diagnosis, run it. If something fails, you now know what the issue is. If everything passes, more work is required.
Step 3) Remove hardware 1 by 1
You want to slowly continue this process until you are down to your hard driver, 1 stick of ram, motherboard, CPU, and PSU. The bare minimum to use a PC, replying on your onboard video too.
If removing the GPU solved the reboot, do not automatically assume bad GPU, rather replace PSU (power supply) with a newer and more powerful model. If a new PSU does not resolve the issue, you know it is your GPU.
Once down to the last stick of ram, swap it out for one you've already tested, and place that stick in a different slow. If this solves the issue, move that new stick into the previous slow. If the issue returns, the motherboard is the problem. If the issue does not return, that 1 stick of ram you took out, was the problem. If the issue remains, regardless....
Step 4) Unplug case ports.
Bad case ports can short out your motherboard. This is why, I saved this for last. Unplugging your case ports may suggest you need a new case (actually ports, but some cases have a customer fit). Just because you've unplugged your case ports and found the issue went away, does not guarantee no harm has come to your motherboard. In fact, the case could be fine, and it could actually be that part of your motherboard.
If you're at this point, you can decide to just replace the case and hope the motherboard is fine. But you should not put a new motherboard in your old case. However, if the motherboard was bad, you may short out your new case. - It is an evil cycle.
But if the issue continues, regardless of unplugging your case ports....
Step 5) Swap out your PSU.
Modern PSU's are very stable and often the last thing to worry about. Although, many old school users tend to test these first, because long ago, PSUs were the things you needed to worry about. If you swap out your PSU, be sure to also swap out your power cord with it.
If the problem went away, great. If not, it is likely your motherboard or CPU. Most people assume the motherboard.
Step 5) If the PSU, motherboard, and case were not the problem.
If you swapped out your case, motherboard, PSU -- You, almost, have a new PC at this point (replying on onboard video). And if you learn your CPU was the cause all along, you may as well buy a 2nd, and celebrate that you now have two working computers.
Don't laugh, I did this once. 😅

Denial is a funny thing, while also being deeply concerning.
Yesterday, I wrote how forum communities, particularly support forum communities, have a good reason to fear, Artificial Intelligence (AI). The pushback, only further validated my statement, but I'll dive deeper, as to clarify the point.
Linux.
You know, the operating system, you tell everyone, since you first decided you liked Linux and hoped others would use it, that it could be anything you wanted it to be.
The problem is, many of you, have a very bad mindset of what you want it to be. And by that I mean, you want Linux to be however you imagine it, but for everyone. You take some personal issue or have some sense of control whenever someone else envisions their Linux system differently.
Let me be clearer.
It is your computer, right? You want things on our computer, your way. That is the beautiful thing about Linux, you can do that. Now, take into the fact, that you were not born knowing all things Linux. You learned from others, and they may in turn learn from you. That is the whole point of community forum - to help and discuss the betterment of using Linux.
The problem is, if I or someone else wants to achieve, "random" (whatever that random thing is), instead of wanting someone to make Linux their own, as you have, you want their system, on their computer, to be like you. Imagine, someone held that mindset toward you, when you first were making your computer, your own. How awful would that have been?
That poor user will ask for some advice, because they either lack the knowledge or because they've applied what they knew, but something isn't quite right. And it is good that you provide alternative solutions, because that knowledge and wisdom you have can be, both insightful and educational. But not if you have nothing to add to helping the user achieve their goal in the manner they have outlined.
Again, let me be clearer.
If someone wants to achieve "random" and you know it can be done, you should tell them how they can achieve it. Afterward, you can also tell them how you may have achieved it, or you can give them your opinion on why or why not, you would do something.
Many of you do not do that.
Instead, you lecture the poor soul, who likely has spent a considerable amount of time, frustrated, and turned to the community as a desperate act. The reason why it is a desperate act, is they likely avoided coming to the community, even dreaded the idea, because most times they expect to be lectured and debated, instead of helped.
This is why AI is a threat to you.
AI, right now, is not perfect. Sometimes it gives bad advice. But AI is improving, while you are not. And by that I mean, you're still the type of person who is not helpful and who while telling people Linux can be whatever they want it to be, still tries to enforce your way, and not accept that others are different, and they want to do things their way.
I have seen whole threads be hijacked with pages of users telling someone "no, not like that" and when someone finally gave the user what they wanted, they were shunned.
AI does not do that. AI hears the question, provides the answer, and then gives some insightful views and alternative suggestions. It already does the thing you fail the most at.
So yes, you have much to fear, but you do not have it, if you better yourself.

Final SOLUTION:
Someone messages me and told me I don't need to specify the virtual keyboard with GDM. I'm not a Gnome user, which means I don't typically use GDM, so that was to me. It also saved me trouble because I was trying to debug how to keep the keyboard loaded using systemd.
This is the final working config. -- I am making this as the solution. No error and it works!

SOLUTION:
Ditch SDDM and replace it with GDM. -- It is not what I was looking for, but it works.
⚠️ Caution: When you perform sudo nixos-rebuild switch
Or, as I commonly used: sudo nixos-rebuild switch --upgrade

Cut the phone bill by 1/2 today and still keeping Netflix and Apple TV+.
I pay for my mother's phone service, which gets a big discount because under her name it is the 55 and over plan. Originally Magenta Max (their highest plan with all the bells and whistles), which was only 90 a month. But also had two internet accounts (25 + 30 = 55), which had us paying 145 a month. Because she wanted an iPhone and I did not want to drop nearly 1,000 bucks, I did the monthly payments of 34 a month, which brought the new monthly bill to 179 (we will say, 180 because there was some change).
That was 180 after the discount, because we were doing automatic payments, which I absolutely dislike. But T-Mobile wanted to raise the rates even more, per line, which brought it to roughly 190.
Well, this caused me to review everything. First I dropped 1 internet line, so minus 25 (because, of course, they picked the cheaper of the two). That upset me, so I decided to drop the plan to 55 Essentials for only 60 a month, and keep the 30 internet (90 total). Her iPhone will be paid off in 4 months (I may do it sooner), but in the meantime, that means it will be 124. They tell me there will be tax with this plan, so I figured 10 bucks for 134.
So we went from 190 to 134, saving me 54 bucks. But remember, that iPhone is about to be paid off, so subtract that 34 bucks and it will be only 100, and now I have saved 90 bucks.
90 extra dollars to play with and the agent was trying to tell me how we will lose Netflix and Apple TV+. 🙄
Well, if I subscribe to Netflix without T-Mobile, it will cost 7.99-17.99, depending if I want it with or without ads. I am uncertain if I want Apple TV+, as they don't typically have many things to offer ( they tend to keep canceling everything I want to watch and their navigation sucks inside a web browser). But if I decide to pay the 9.99 a month, I will only be spending between 117.99 - 127.98 to have everything I originally had with T-Mobile. So my final savings will be between 72.02-62.02. More if If I ultimately ditch Apple TV.

Violence should never be tolerated.
If my neighbor was only had simple disagreements and the occasional raised voices, I'd just look the other way. It would be easy to dismiss it as none of our business, but violence I see as a community social problem. Especially, since violence seldom remains contained in the confines of someone's personal life.
I called the cops, because it was the right thing to do. Some guy was beating on some poor woman, but make no mistake, I would have called the cops all the same if she was the one beating on him. - Violence is still violence.
Cars are meant to be used to get from point "A" to point "B" and not weapons or emotional expressional tools.
Enough is enough. We could ignore 100s of things someone does in their daily life. But at some point, your life is no longer an island onto itself. At least once already, someone needed to be taken away in an ambulance and someone else was taken away in cuffs.
We're not going to wait for these events to get any more serious. My neighbor has had plenty of time to get their life in order. And before someone does something more stupid involving knives or guns, since they're already using cars, well past hands and feet, which it should not have come to pass to begin with -- Enough is enough.

I spoke to the property management today, and I feel bad, but I also feel like if I had remained silent, this nonsense will just continue and escalate, as it has been.
I am not someone who wants to cause anyone any trouble or problems. Genuinely, I want everyone to live their life their way, with peace, love, and happiness. Nor would I want someone to experience a housing crisis - that would be awful.
But I cannot escape the fact that my neighbor is partly responsible for what is transpiring. No one deserves to be abused, and generally, I do not blame her for when one of her many partners acts out in aggression, but it is that whole idea of many partners or roommates that is likely trigging circumstances. My other neighbors, after all, have relationships, and they not all ending up violent and disrupting the harmony of the neighborhood.
I do not know my neighbor's name or the people she associates with, but I have overheard more than a few broken hearts, at maximum volume between the hours of 12:00 AM (midnight) and 3:00 AM. And so, whether I wish it or not, I do know some of her story.
While lately most of these events have been after sunset and before sunrise, not all of them have. -- I know what my neighbor looks like naked without ever being involved with her, because she has no shame, and has exposed herself during the day.
I recall once, her and some guy coming out with nothing but a towel, as she tried to claim the guy with her was her only boyfriend, and that the heartbroken guy outside was some kind of creep. I felt bad for that guy, because I knew she was involved with him. But that was not the only time I have seen her completely exposed. Nor was it the only time, some man or women, freaked out in away that everyone could see and hear.
Recent events have only escalated, and now people are using cars as a form of expression. Watching someone's car drive in and out of their drive, onto the sidewalk, into the yard, and into my driveway accords the street, really caused me to raise an eyebrow. This past Saturday into early Sunday (Mother's Day), some guy was beating on a poor woman, who was trying to get into or out of a car, and then everyone kept playing car swap as they kept leaving and coming back, minutes apart. I was surprised no one had run anyone over.
This woman is mother too. There has been the debate on whether we should call child family services. For now, we have held off on that, and I hope this serves as a wake-up call. I hope this woman looks at her life and rethinks her choices (or lack of). She needs to either stay single and focus on being a mom, or she needs to pick one person, and stop "monkey branching" between many. Her days of parting and brining people home from the bar or club, or finding multiple random people on tinder, should be over.
However she does it, the chaos needs to end. Because her choices are why these things are happening more frequently and are escalating. If she cannot see or understand that, I hope someone in her family convinces her to get therapy.

Proving it is possible on the internet to provide goods and services, without falling directly under someone else's national jurisdiction. Whether that person in China was breaking their laws, is their problem, and not yours. 1) Automatically updates at 3:00 AM
2) Logs the event and generates at 3:30 AM
3) Holds those logs for 7 days and recycles the old logs
4) Every Sunday at 4:00 AM removes old junk

1) Hillary Clinton should never have been the nominee.

The 1st political violence was not the storming of the capitol. The Democratic Party, made Donald John Trump, possible. You empowered that man by ignoring the will of the people. You disenfranchised millions of voters who frankly decided they had enough of, you. Then you told them to once more, once again, to pick YOUR choice, not theirs, as the lessor evil.
You are the problem that enabled Donald John Trump. The encouraged people to either vote for him out of spite or just stay home, because it did not matter.
You were and are complicit in Donald Trump raise to power. And you continue to be complicit with every moment of silence and inaction to stop, Donald John Trump. Everyone is talking about PewDiePie using Linux.
What do you see?
You see another person talking about the terminal and all the crazy things you can do with the terminal. Which means he is not a newbie, and he is recommending Mint, whose support community, despite offering some user-friendly GUI tools, will insist you learn the terminal for everything.
Look at Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS. That is what people are looking for on Linux. Not to geek out, or deep dive into a command prompt, but the simple point and click, ease of use. So to sum up, they want to use their computer, not work on their computer.
Your PC should be so easy to use, that the kid back in grade school, who made all those questionable choices, who likely ate paste, could understand how to use their computer. Because that is what most end-users, want - something they can use with as little thought and effort as humanely possible.
Good news, it is 2025, Linux can be that easy!
I worked in Consumer IT. That means, I dealt with people who struggled to find their desktop. My "favorite" question from people who did not know tech was instructing them to find something on their desktop, and them asking, where do I find the desktop - Not joking.
YES, those people can use Linux too. But it is not Linux Mint. I know this, because if the consumer wanted to try Linux, it was our job, to help them use Linux. Those who tried Mint, left Linux and jumped right back to Windows or Apple, in record time.
Install Fedora KDE Plasma, set up automatic updates, and you'd done. That's it. Everything is going to work and keep on working, 98% of the time. Fedora is the semi-rolling release to CentOS, which moves to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It is going to have fanatic hardware support and offer outstanding stability. If you're OK not having the latest software, and want just a little more stability, use CentOS.
Discover (Flatpak) is your app store. Point and click installs. No thinking, no configuration, just ease of use. It will also let you know when your operating system (Fedora / CentOS) needs updating, and you click on update, just like you would in Windows Update or Apple Update. No terminal, no thinking, it just does the job for you.
KDE Plasma, all your setting in 1 place. Point in click. Even easier than Microsoft Control Panel. Try it. Even the Start Menu (app menu) looks like Windows (see screenshot). They even organize it for you. For example, your web browser will be in your Internet category.
Perhaps you want to configure files and change advance settings. You can still do that in Fedora, but still, let's make it easier even for you, who want to tweak configurations and use the terminal, and use NixOS.
See screenshot, that is NixOS running KDE Plasma. 1 master file runs everything. You still have all your basic settings, point and click, ease. But if you want to learn more, you don't have to go finding things or trying to remember where something is, just 1 file to rule them all (Yes, it’s like the Lord of the Rings).

1,000,000 + people died - the highest COVID deaths in any western country. 60,000 of them in my state of Massachusetts, which is comparable to a whole city just being vaporized, and wiped off the map.
At 39 years old, I experienced something most people do not experience until old age - Every man, woman, boy, and girl I knew died (except for family, thankfully). Even before Mark Zuckerberg, decided to end "fact checking", I noticed more MAGA content that appeared to be given a "free pass". Sadly, there were clearly some of us, who did not always do the right thing, even though at the time, doing the right thing, was our job.
