I always seem to get this question, and so I am going to save this to my favourites for later." Why do you not include anything from Proton? "You can start out in Switzerland, but still end up under Us Jurisdiction if you register your business, and open offices in the United States.

Even if only one division of your corporation is registered in the United States, US Law does not particularly distinguish the difference, and has historically viewed and held liable the whole corporation's actions, even if those actions were outside the United States. Our laws are very acidic, prefatorial, and predatorial.

Proton, like any corporation, does not list nor cite the laws or jurisdictions of all 200+ sovereign nations, because corporations, much like people, only worry about the laws and jurisdictions that apply to them. You (and anyone reading this), for example, likely do not care whether it is legal or not, to use the Fediverse in China, for example. You're likely not a citizen of China and you likely may not have a business in China, and so you likely do not care what the laws of China or any other nation are.

But if someone from China (for example) ordered something you were selling off of a website, for example, you'd gladly accept their money. Proving it is possible on the internet to provide goods and services, without falling directly under someone else's national jurisdiction. Whether that person in China was breaking their laws, is their problem, and not yours. As I said, you would need to list all 200+ sovereign nations, and only need to worry about where you were located and registered.

Proton list and cites the United States of America. And not so recently, even are trademarked (a. Trademark n° 97570627 in the United States) The 1st time they started citing US Law was with their Proton Wallet ( https://proton.me/wallet/terms ). They've expanded since that time.

Proton falls under Us Jurisdiction.
