Pseudoscience has always been an easy target for political exploitation (e.g. eugenics). I am not a historian. But my understanding is that for decades after the statue was inaugurated, European immigrants were processed on the nearby Ellis Island so they assumed the statue in New York harbor was there to welcome them. Mistakes happen when you deviate from the standard operating procedure and do something different. That is not what happened in this case. They just did what they have already done to thousands of people, including thousands of children. It is only becasue of the different religion of the victims that they are calling this particular action a mistake.
Is killing children part of their rules of engagement? Why no investigation into the killings of thousands of children?

Also it is hard to call what they are now doing “defense” so IDF is a propaganda name.
