To be fair to Trump, his argument is, "It's not a crime when I do it." Doesn't matter what the "it" is -- he has "absolute immunity" to do all the crimes. That's his defense.
Now we wait for the Supreme Court to come up with a way to say, "it's not a crime for Donald to do it, but it's not allowed for Joe Biden to do the same thing." That will take more dissembling, but they are up to the task.
