I think I'm after something powdered or as paste, that adds a bit of creaminess. Ideally non-dairy, and not especially sweet.

Alternative to almond/soya milk, in porridge?
It's expensive, wasteful packaging. The almond base/paste alternative isn't cost-effective.
I do stir in smooth almond or cashew butter, but it's lacking a creaminess somehow.
Any non-dairy non-ultra-processed alternative I'm missing?

There's a myrtle bush right besides the lounge window at mum's house. In it, some days, a contended Eurasian Blackbird sits sheltered from the winter wind with a belly full of berries. He softly sings a full symphony for about an hour as his lunch settles and then off he flies.

Obvs I could afford to do this at the time (no longer, savings all gone), which is a privilege we don't all have.

I'm only an amateur photog. I feel 'homeless' re photography and I've looked at all the main platforms, which seem to be islands of photogs talking with other photogs, only, not the wider public, which really hampers reach and limits the impact of the work.

I've begun swapping out TV and YouTube doco's for fish tank TV. I've always wanted a fish tank as I find them so relaxing, but it's a faff keeping on top of cleaning and we've enough on our plates already. So, I find myself running this in the background instead of TV. It's really relaxing, although there's still a strict no-screens curfew of 8:30PM.

I'd been working with an experienced, published, photo mentor and perhaps it's time I stumped up for another session. I'm too close to my subject (me), the situation (my home) and my scenario (my illness) and so taking stock is a good shout.
Someone also encouraged me to print out the whole project, which I ought do, once I've got the capacity to suss the new printer and settings out without much waste.

@nprofile…9e0t Good shout and when I could afford almost-all organic we had a Waitrose monthly, but we're mega broke and shlepping it around Aldi and Lidl (which is annoying, as Sharon is immune-suppressed and self-employed, so this is increasing our germs risk too).
On the upside, we're impressed with Aldi and Lidl's quality in the main, which do have some (v.v.limited) organic options.

When making long-form 'quiet' photography, how do you know when - as a whole body of work - it has begun to say something?
I'm aiming to convey isolation, boredom, loneliness and frustration, and conscious of the sweet spot for conveying this, neither too much/little.

Slightly stressful morning photo-ing chicken close-ups.
My partner is a chicken Vet and needed some very specific photos - tricky when the chicken's moving, the person holding her is moving and I have no core strength, plus a not-fast high res camera.
The photos came out ok! I'm so pro.
