Hah. Well, maybe there isn't a real and viable path for me into working on a ship right now from my zero starting point. At least from what I'm reading on information sites.
I think therefore I need to focus on the cleaner/room attendant option at local hotels. I haven't the faintest idea what the best approach to this is, but I'm just going to get out to the areas where I can approach the receptionists and get in contact with the managers to do this.
I'm not exactly well situated to access these locations, and under-equipped financially to do so, but eliminating all my excess possessions that are not either useful or relevant to my current situation is going to help. I should be able to stretch my runway out another 2 weeks or so if I am careful.
After spending nearly 40% above what I really should have had to, to acquire the staple food of my next 4 days, I'm also going to attend to getting this supply line shored up and a better priced source settled. I wish I could have fresh milk but UHT is much easier to get my hands on and I can transport it by foot easily up to 12km so I'm going to be doing it this way before my current stock runs out.
1 out of 7 oranges I bought went fungi in the fridge also, in only 3 days, which is pretty annoying, probably I need to think in terms of securing only 2 days ahead on this supply item.
It may seem trivial to people with relatively robust health and tolerance of the endless poisons of the conventional food supply for me to focus on this, but my performance and capabilities are dramatically diminished by the wrong food, and those requirements are very strict. I am feeling incredibly better on my current regime, and I'm going to defend it like my life is at stake, because it is.
I kinda wish I could avoid needing to step outside the bitcoin world to get an income going, but my past performance is an anchor around my neck and the psychosis I was suffering as a result of my addictions to the common vices, alcohol, caffeine and nicotine, were dragging me down and keeping me constantly in a state of borderline disaster.

Having the cold hard reality visible at last has been a relief. Anyone who prefers to live in delusion doesn't want their life to get better. My life must get better. Just, must.

I am also in a novel new mental frame thanks to The Apocalypse of Yajnavalkya, and its thesis about Atlantis, the past, and the near future, I now have a certainty about the existence of who is referred to as Jesus, and his Father, and what is coming down the pipe in the next 5 years.
I am prepared for this, and I am being guided towards the right place for me to be positioned and ready for what is coming.

I need some help with getting through October. I have no money, and just learned this morning that I have no further money coming.
Oof. Honestly, I did not get the understanding I was at zero right now, I would have been in an entirely different frame of mind. I don't know what frame of mind that would be, I am on the precipice of panic right now.
I haven't a clue what I can do right now. Anything involving getting a job is going to entail a runup time and I have about 60 euros maybe to get through until then, and it costs me 10% of that to make a trip into the centre of Funchal from here, which is close to one whole day's worth of food.
Even if I manage to find someone needing what I can offer, most likely I will have some big obstacles just getting a tax registration number, and on top of that feed myself until they pay me.
Unless I happen to find someone willing to pay me more frequently, but that just isn't how things are done in europe, it really makes a big gap to bridge when you are coming from nothing.
It's not that I don't know how to beg, I could certainly do that, but I'm not exactly in the tourist centre of Madeira here, it's a good 20km away.
Just to be clear, I don't think I would have accepted this task of scouting out a place to get started for my friend if I'd known that I had no runway after he had got here. That isn't a reasonable deal.

Insane, the USB C cables can do 10gbit. Best you gonna see on a wireless connection peer to peer is about 300mbit. Literally 30x slower.

The sheer amount of bullshit regulation going on these days around taxes and banking is getting to the point where a lot of people are at risk of becoming unbanked if they happen to lose documents and anyone who is in transit is very much at risk.
Meanwhile, even my Wallet of Satoshi was easy to migrate to a new phone, and they DGAF where I live.

I've been saying this about water for like, nearly 20 years. They are blaming carbon to sell contracts with the government for tax breaks and tax allocations for these boondoggles, like wind power and solar power. Neither of these technologies are anywhere near as efficient as coal/gas/oil/nuclear.
And they are now doing this also to Nitric Oxide and Methane because these are two gases released by meat animals poop, in order to enable them to get big tax breaks to make synthetic vat grown meat.
Again, neither of these technologies are even vaguely more efficient. The amount of energy required to produce solar panels and wind generators is greater than the devices ever release in their average lifespan. The amount of water and energy required to manufacture artificial meat is at least 5x what is required for grass fed beef (and note, grain fed beef is less efficient than grass fed)

It's epic trying to change numbers and addresses on the internet with important accounts these days.
Steam has been always a hassle for me, and doubly with their new steam guard. I disabled it yesterday and now I am in a ticket with support. They expect me to remember a credit card I used 6 months ago, that I don't use any more because I moved to Xapo. A revolut virtual card, could even have been a one-time card, so there's no way I am gonna have any record of it.
Xapo bank is being a pain now too because I accidentally input my previous address and let my phone send them my GPS coordinates. Which is far far away from the address.

I've been having a fairly epic couple of days. I think this is day 4 since I flushed my half jar of coffee down the drain after having a total b0rk - I had my system all perfect affter 3 days not sleeping enough and trying to get the bastard just right. I deleted the files at the root `rm -rf *` and even though it only wiped out /etc /boot /dev /efi these are critical to booting the system and it wasn't gonna boot after that, and I basically totally broke it.
Tried to fix it up, but being so fatigued I couldn't get anything working.
Then the next day, my internet had ran out of allocation and was on shaped, and for whatever reason, the hotspot suddenly stopped giving me internet access, and I was freaking out.
I ended up chucking a hissy fit, after my first day no caf, and proceeded to walk 20km in a huff, saying all kinds of somewhat retarded things to my friends.
Suffice it to say that it obviously was the withdrawals. No, I didn't really get any headache, but I still am not quite right since the weekend, and yeah it's friday now so that's how long it's been - 4 days.
I'm feeling way better today.
Walking 40km in one day is pretty hard work, especially when the slopes are often up to 14% probably average around 8% either up or down, and I'm wearing barefoot shoes so it's a little harder on the foosies than usual. No matter, it's good training, and I got a little sunburnt in the process, and saw lots of new places I hadn't seen along the way.f
So, the upshot of all this is I am now fully on zero drugs of any kind, and shunning all forms of sugar and that includes alcohol. Except for what is naturally in fruit, which I am eating for the fibre mainly.
I feel amazing, like I can conquer the world from this starting point.
I have started a diet regime, based on the experiments I have been making recently, and it's pretty much 3L of milk, a bit of greek yoghurt, about 200g of 100% chocolate and fruit - at the moment, 2 oranges a day.
Chocolate makes my skin feel amazing. Beef dripping also is amazing but the whole world has turned insane and it can't be had from anywhere. If you make stewed beef, and keep the broth, it rises to the top and when it cools down separates like butter. This stuff is the ultimate human dietary fat. Chocolate is a second option that is nearly as good.
I have tried pig fat before, but it makes my skin kinda get this sheen about it that isn't as nice as what chocolate/beef dripping does. I suppose it's related to the composition of the fats, and all that stearic acid, which obviously is being primarily diverted out of the usual food production systems to be isolated for drugs. It's a common tablet compounding ingredient, as it forms a nice shiny hard wax, and especially good for the coating, as this makes it somewhat resistant to dissolving in the stomach and waits until the bile where it then is degraded by the sodium carbonate.
Or, idk wtf.
Milk is amazingly hard to get in a decent form too. Seems like the majority of people are drinking half fat milk or skim milk. And a lot seem to be drinking skim milk with the lactose removed.
I think there has been an intentional campaign against both beef fat and milk fat because these two foods are some of the most important for your health, and without this in your diet, you are gonna get all kinds of diseases, and have a weak mind and generally be easy to manipulate, and your intelligence degraded.
Anyhow, it's not impossible to get fresh, but pasteurised milk, it's just that in the biggest supermarkets I can find, there's like 6 litres sitting there in the fridge and a whole aisle of garbage UHT with most of the goodness removed.
Ok, I will just have to hunt it out, and I get UHT whole milk when I can't find the un-cooked version.
I do kinda envy you americans that you can even get raw milk at all. But where I live now, is perfect for keeping goats, so that will be a good one anyway.

Today will be my first full day sans caffeine in years.
I know I am gonna probably suffer some headache but it's gonna be worth it.
Gonna be drinking salty broth from stewed beef neck (including sections of spine) a lot for a few days, that should help.
I got a really bad cramp this morning in my right calf muscle. Once it settled I immediately went to the kitchen to have half a teaspoon of sea salt washed down with water.
Caffeine metabolises to uric acid in the blood, and this thickens the blood and makes it prone to getting slow and congested and causing conditions like gout. I had gout at one time.
One of the difficulties of recovering from alcoholism is that it messes up your kidneys normal elimination triggering. Increasing salt intake helps a lot. It's one of the things that I think caffeine keeps its hooks in people who are alcoholics, because it compensates for the messing up of the natural diuretic process by artificially forcing it.
I'm sure that this broth will help a lot.
After I've chugged through all of it I suppose I'll be dicing up the stewed beef and frying it in butter.
The broth is covered with dripping as well. I am starting to really love beef dripping, it makes my skin soft, my hair soft, it tastes damn good...
But I'm pretty much off all forms of carbs now. I probably will eat potato chips once in a while, hand cut and fried in beef dripping, but it's not a good food anyway. Better to just eat the beef and be happy.

I've been wanting to collect a load of clean sea water and filter and dry it out on a big wide glass evaporation dish, forever. Now I live close to some of the cleanest ocean near human settlement, it has to be done. In fact, if I come to having enough resources to start a business, it's gonna be small salt thing. There is a whole world of difference between ostracising a person based on race, and ostracising them based on the nature of their character.

The rest of us, yes, we can do cruel things at times ,but we don't revel in it. Those who have been tormented later in life, whose time of vulnerability passed before a psychopath got involved, and inflicted the trauma that bakes the psychopathy in, are varying degrees of neurosis and psychosis.
This vulnerability to behaving like this increases when the victim's endocrine system is messed up. That's why fluoride, that's why vaccines, that's why refined, high carbohydrate low mineral low vitamin diets, and why their penultimate vulnerability causing diet fad is veganism.
Vegans have less capacity to resist being persuaded to act out the will of the psychopaths who seek to control society.
That's just a few elements, I'm sure once you understand what I'm saying, you understand just how badly we are as a society on the edge of total collapse.
Psychopathy is the inversion of the human brain's mimicry circuit. Just as monkeys and apes copy what they see, sympathy and empathy are behaviours that come from this mimicry.
Psychopaths don't get pleasure when they see someone having pleasure, they get pain.

TIL that manjaro linux's packages (the main binaries accessible via pacman) are quite substantially out of date compared to the parent disttro Arch linux.
The difference is like night and day, I HATE manjaro. Nothing of my hardware works right with it and the stuff that I get from Arch is smooth as butter.
I just gotta iron out my data retention policies so I don't wipe out all of them at the same time like I did this morning.
I have fast reflexes and fast fingers but SSDs are even faster. It zapped most of the important files for booting the system and the only way to get back to it is to install arch. Putting manjaro on it all of the libraries were out of date, the pacman database had duplicated entries...
I just challenge anyone who had assumed there was no real difference between Arch and Manjaro.
You will almost certainly agree manjaro is second rate in comparison.

Some of us never could get along with the fiat minds. Most enjoyable job I ever had, for 11 months, was cleaning classrooms. I was finishing early every day and the art teachers were so sad they lost the first cleaner who actually did the job properly.

I find this expression "muting" very weird.
When I first became familiar with the expression, it was a button on TV remote controls to silence the sound.
Any time I was watching TV, and there was a remote, I was on that mute button every time, and I liked to look away and talk to the human beings around me. In fact, that was part of the point of it, when it was muted, the deeply interested persons in the room were ok with me talking.
To me, muting isn't stopping something, it's just diminishing its sensory impact.
You all people have got so used to actually PAYING for your advertising with cable TV that it seems logical that muting doesn't often actually cause the irritating crap to be removed from the display.

I pay for Goland and now I am running linux-hardened kernel on Arch linux, something is causing it to be unable to open projects.
Since they started with this retarded New UI bullcrap, I've been increasingly finding it irritating, and this fad of forcing people to constantly update, and denying access to old versions thing is really getting on my nerves.
I would probably not even be able to use my computer properly if I was unable to stop it from constantly "upgrading" my kernel. A problem that Ubuntu has never dealt with, let alone the Gnome project and their "tracker" search engine, which has cost me so much time and tranquility as it crawls my extensive collection of Go source code.
I remember the days when software was actually kinda stable. Oh well, like everything, the level of vigilance and cognitive load keeps on rising, and rather than reach for more vices I'm trimming those out as well.
The way this society is running it's gonna be imploding within a decade.

For the 100th time everyone's promising to leave.
The red line for me was when I was no longer able to exclude advertising with the introduction of "promoted" posts. Plus I had shortly before that seen a paper that examined how their algorithm treated "alt right" users, hiding most of their follows content, and I was getting bored shitless scrolling and the two things together galvanised me.
I hope some more leave but I look at the quality of people around the place these days and they are so despondent and submissive, most of them will be back, and will start to pay for their manipulation directly.

Also I just want to add that I have had a lot to do with them over the years. I played at being a rent boy for a while, but I most certainly was not lured into it. I'm just curious and I also had no idea how else to work around the problem of what the school system did to my ambition to study computer science, and I had a girl ... it was a nasty business.
But the point being that I'm not saying this as someone who hasn't had intimate contact with the culture as well as having observed the marks of it all around, the toilets in the city parks, various other signs of creepy things that I learned later were creepy for a reason.
I also was the son of a man who had been molested, almost certainly, by an aunty and possibly a teenage child of friends of the family, who showed an inordinate interest in my preteen father, and he did some creepy things to my sister as well. I saw signs of it in my primary school, I have to admit actually I was drawn towards all this because of my having had contact with it within my family.
