Born on a Thursday ("Thor's Day") ... Thunor is the Brit. variant of Thor (Old English: Đunor).
Thor -- a prominent icon in Norse mythology -- is a major inspiration for all Germanic and Nordic (and also for some Slav) peoples. Most famously depicted wielding his trusty hammer; a.k.a. Mjöllnir (“Lightning”), which is symbolically depicted in my Avatar.
