I mean people could put whatever contact information they want or felt comfortable with along with their pet's microchip number and description/ vet/ etc.

Hi @nprofile…xmvk! Trying to get Friendica installed and working on one of my domains but having some issues with the s3_storage addon and Cloudflare R2.
Has anyone successfully been able to get the #Friendica #s3_storage #addon to work with #Cloudflare #r2 buckets?

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!

@nprofile…yupt @nprofile…t4qe I (as someone that runs a bunch of instances in the US that are all hosted in Europe or Canada) plan to redirect UK visitors to a nice page explaining to them why they can't access the website they're trying to access and encourage every site visitor (in the UK) to contact their MP and to let them know this law sucks.
Unfortunately though I don't get many UK visitors but if everyone did that it might generate enough buzz and traffic to make a difference.

@nprofile…sr9k I guarantee there will be a way to disable it via Group Policy for Windows 11 Enterprise. There already is a way to disable CoPilot via GPO for Win11 Enterprise so I'm fairly certain there will be a way for admins to disable Recall via GPO once it becomes generally available.
That being said I deleted Windows 11 a few weeks ago and switched to Linux Mint precisely because there's no way to disable it in Windows 11 Pro. I don't run Enterprise at home because I frankly don't want to stand up the infrastructure to support it.

#Microsoft #Recall and #CoPilot are the two main reasons I ditched #Windows for #Linux this week.
It has nothing to do with #AI. I use #AI/ #LLMs every day. I have a local copy of #LMStudio and #Ollama installed and I use both on a regular basis.
I just don't want any AI tied into my operating system. And frankly, I don't trust Microsoft one bit. (Pun intended.)
Recall is still a #privacy and #security nightmare. Microsoft can try to polish the turd as much as they like but it's still a piece of shit.
This will be abused. By Microsoft. By hackers and scammers. By Law Enforcement. And by Intelligent Services.

@nprofile…kvnh My mom had two weimaraners. Alfie & Heidi. When I was a baby they taught me how to swim. This was the early 1970s. We had a pool. I fell into the pool when I was a baby and started to drown. My mom I think went into the kitchen I guess. Either way I fell in and then both of those dogs jumped in. I don't know which one it was but one of them swam under me and kept me afloat on their back and my head above water and the other barked up a storm until my mom came and rescued me. My mom then decided I needed to immediately learn how to swim so if I fell in again I wouldn't drown and apparently when they were teaching me in the pool the dogs literally took over keeping me from drowning and teaching me how to swim. At least dog paddle. I learned how to swim before I could walk. True story.
