Another quite eye-opening factoid was the just "well give USSR veto vote to Russia". Ukraine made that BS crystal clear in the early days of the war. Yet I'd never heard it discussed before.

I literally feel better after 2 hours of sleep with one than 12 hours without.
Finding a mask you like is critical. My current mask has been discontinued so got a replacement that was reasonably similar. Except it basically didn't exhaust enough such that my ears were popping from the over pressure. Thankfully my provider allows 30 day trials for free to find the right one. (That one didn't make it to actual use). Now have a new one that's good.

But storage and PV is scaling at insane rates.

There's a company that's developed a re-engineered bacteria in that resides in the mouth. Based on one they found in the wild, instead of producing acids that cause cavities it produces tiny tiny amounts of alcohol (dozens of orders of magnitude below measurable on dui tests). It also produces a mild anti-bacterial that allows it to establish and remain the dominant microbe of the cavity problem ones.
Were originally going for full FDA medical approval but those required insane levels of testing so, since it actual is a probiotic, they are going that route now which is less onerous. Believe testing is next year and they are looking at 2026 ish.
In *theory*, assuming it works as planned, it's almost something I could see being required my insurance as it will significantly reduce dental issues. (how that affects the dental industry is perhaps interesting)

They don't seal things completely air tight but they hold shape so you can wrap around a plate or bowl to cover things. Probably similar to aluminum foil sealing ability.

Unlike sending information signals, the magnitude of the signal is the important part of beaming power. We can receive data and info from Voyager space craft by listening harder/ using a bigger receiver. But power is the strength of the signal.
Signal strength is reduced by inverse square of distance. Japan did a 6-10 mile distance test and had 99% power loss.
Geostationary is ~22,000 miles.
Unless some tech can overcome that, you simply can't get usable power across that distance without a solar array larger than 100s of sq miles in size.
For the far less cost and resources, you could power the entire planet via terrestrial installs.

VA had (maybe has) a 'special rate' option that had set rates for specific times of day but not variable.
TX allowed people to buy at reseller rates (for freedum!) and some of them got absolutely burned during blackouts with 5 figure monthly power bills. (TX hates it's citizens mostly)
