Yes at first. But it could become an essential race for npubs to bring their foot into these starter packs. And then who curates this starter pack, who garners the power? The 'management group' of each client? Where and when would the starter packs be introduced to the newbies? What are the criteria? Maybe that's the way it is, centralization, like in traditional social media and the App- and PlayStore? Can't think of a clever alternative from the top of my head right now. Maybe some impartial algorithm?

It's amazing! Though it's very likely NOT built by the Incas. The pictured stonewall is much older than the Inca empire and the difference between Inca construction (much less sophisticated) and that which they built upon is very visible in many places. Graham Hancock's 'Ancient Apocalypse' series on Netflix is discussing this in particular 🙏🏼

This is an actual new initiative in Germany. The 'Counseling Compass Conspiracy-Thinking'. It's a website and counseling call center for people who feel like they are victims of conspiracy theories in their family or friendship circles. It's funded by the German Ministry of Interior and Ministry for Family Affairs.

This statement implies violence ... making the children do what you think is right. It's what my grandfather would say. And it's how our current societies operate with people needing an authority for safety.
But there's a balance to be had by setting a framework in which children can thrive and you detach yourself from the outcome as a parent. This is a setting in which love can flower and children grow up to become free, responsible human beings.

Yeah, not sure what's so hard to understand that at this point in time Bitcoin doesn't provide all functionalities the market demands and therefore other cryptocurrencies focus on those, privacy being one of them.
From a pure monetary base point of view, of course Bitcoin maximalism is THE way to go! But, instead of fighting crypto projects that provide these market demands, it would be more wise to reach out and learn how to bring these functionalities to Bitcoin.
This is precisely why I look forward to roll-ups, zk-proofs, smart contract functionality on Bitcoin. And where does the inspiration for those come from? Ethereum, Monero etc. There's a way for everything to come 'home' to Bitcoin, to create a Bitcoin economy. I'm trying to bring people off WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber and whatnot for yeeaars now - it's a grind, even with freedom-minded people!
My most successful alternative is Signal. SimpleX is a candidate.
But Nostr can become the real deal for online communities to thrive in freedom. I used @nprofile…f30t for a specific group and it's not bad at all, already serving the basic community needs. And you login with your nsec, bringing over all your contacts, chats ... and also zaps ⚡ It's magic!

Well, not exactly 😜 What is a sin anyway?
Krishnamurti says that it is you who has to find out for yourself what pleasure is. He encouraged to see a clear distinction between pleasure and joy. Pleasure is driven by thought whereas joy is a pure alive moment without thought involved.
Then it's all about awareness and figuring out why you are repeating a certain pleasure and thought pattern and what it does to your body, mind, well-being. Pleasure for the very most part is a thought-driven habit caused by an underlying unpleasant emotion that required you to seek comfort in a difficult situation of the past. Repeating and seeking that pleasure doesn't carry you forward or inspire you. It merely makes your underlying pain manageable.
Many religions of the world cut the way short for people, and developed a morality, built an authority on top of it, and called pleasure a sin. But the truth is, you'll have to find out for yourself without relying on an external authority to tell you what's a sin or not or what's right or wrong. If you are highly aware of body and mind, the answer is clear to you. You won't do what harms you (and others), only you know. That's real freedom.
In the meantime we are all on the journey of our internal discovery, to know ourselves as much as we can. And instead of judging each other, we can support each other on that journey. Because this is what life is all about.

So, since Olas is now available, the app with the Instagram look, I tested around a bit and wanted to share my not-so-techie experience at this point. I'm especially interested to see the interplay between different clients: Olas, Amethyst and Primal.
Olas has the option of two post types, 'generic' and 'high-quality'. As far as I understand these are different note formats with the latter being optimized for media.
Also Amethyst has the option of posting 'high-quality' media notes under the media tab. The media tab looks quite slick to be honest. These media notes then also appear in Amethyst's media gallery.
Primal, at the time of posting this, doesn't have the option to post or display these new media notes.
Now, if on Olas I post a 'generic post' it appears on Olas (naturally) and on Amethyst and Primal in the normal notes feed.
If I post a 'high-quality' post on Olas it appears on Olas (naturally) and in the media tab as well as your gallery on Amethyst. Not on Primal at this point.
If you post a note under the media tab on Amethyst, it's of the 'high-quality' type and also appears on Olas. Normal note posts on Amethyst or Primal don't appear on Olas.

Currently, with the latest update @nprofile…5zx8 (2.0.34) crashes for me when trying to display profiles. While this can happen, it'd be great to have the option to use one of the previous stable versions 🙏
