Dang screwed up that one part of the sentence... I'm sure you can figure out what I meant. Over the branch and back on the ground...
Paracord and a small throw bag or weight. Once the throw bag is over the branch and the bag back is on the ground, tie an alpine butterfly in the middle of the paracord, attach the node to it, then pull it up into the tree. (Keep both ends of the rope on the ground for retrieval and adjustment!). Hopefully it doesn't get snagged in the tree when you throw. 😆
Paracord has to be long enough that it's at least 3 x the height of the branch.

Got a Creality Ender 3 V3 SE and it's a great price point with auto bed leveling. I would suggest the KE as it has WiFi. Had to replace the bed plate soon after because things would not stick, but the new one fine. The printer has been awesome for the price. Goes on sale for under $200 USD / $250 CAD.

Got my Meshtastic RAKwireless solar nodes up and running! One is in place and covering the Southern part of the city and the next is going on the North side.
Had a few nights of -5C and barely any drop in battery level overnight. Waiting for -20C to see how it goes. Very impressed so far.
Going to be adding temperature, humidity and barometer sensors to them soon. It will be interesting to see what the temps do inside the enclosures over the winter.

YT videos are already well compressed and none of the transcoding makes them smaller at the same resolution. And yes, ffmpeg based solutions are much better
I can’t troubleshoot now, but from the experience with YT rips and trying to transcode them, usually makes them either bigger or corrupted. We’ve seen a fair share of such uploads in the past. You can try “curl -O <url>” and then use ffprobe to see what is going on with it. Usually it is either broken bframe or something to that tune. Uploading the direct YT download is the most optimal way to share them.

#DieGruenen sind auf ihre fanatische Kernwählerschaft dezimiert, im oberen einstelligen Prozentbereich. Darüber hinaus wissen #DieGruenen das sie mit den nächsten Wahlen keinen Fuß mehr auf den Boden bekommen werden und setzen geradezu fanatisch alles daran Fakten zu schaffen.
Die #SPD hat sich gegen die #Sozialdemokratie und die soziale Marktwirtschaft und für den #Sozialismus entschieden. Mit den derzeitigen Zustimmungswerten wird die #SPD folglich auch kaum noch eine Koalition anführen können. Man sitzt es also nur noch aus, um dann wieder als "kleiner Koalitionspartner" herumzudümpeln.

I love this album and the prior. Bought them both on vinyl right around the time they came out. I saw twisted sister twice in a week. In Worcester, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island. They were the back up band for Dio. I was within 10 rows at both events. The visual of twisted sister live was like being in a live/animated world. They looked and sounded amazing. I think it’s interesting that in the reproductive rights discussions people rarely talk about the matter in its entirety.
It’s sad because I know several women who’ve had an abortion(s) but advocate against them. I also know women who’ve never had one fighting for their sons gf’s to be able to have one (if need be).
I know women who had abortions in the early 80’s and women who had them in 2020. They all agree that they wouldn’t recommend it to their loved ones. They hold on to it like a disgraceful secret. They battle with guilt, self-loathing, and regret. It’s psychologically taxing and there aren’t very many resources to help them cope with their decisions.
I’m not pro or anti-abortion. I just think it’s lame that the issue isn’t discussed fully. There are consequences to having abortions, being on birth control, taking plan b… and not raising your children well. Parents have to take accountability for their households. Sex isn’t therapy. Parents have to teach and love their children so sex isn’t used to heal wounds and leave scars. #note1gpf…j7v2

Maybe I'm just out of touch because I never use Apple/Google Pay and still use cards, but I think it would help with adoption as medium of exchange (for consumers and vendors) if we could somehow get a physical card (like satscards) that can use swipe/tap-to-pay, but the card is somehow tied to a lightning/ecash wallet. Could start with Strike users having their own card tied to their wallet (I would love a cool black card with the Strike logo).
Next level would be for more technical users to be able to set up a card that is linked to their self-custodial wallet (like Alby Hub).
Of course on the vendor side the point-of-sale apps would need to be able to support this (Like Zaprite and Square).
I don't know, I'm just thinking of ways to reduce friction for normies. Want to be able to just get a card in their hands and tell them it'll work wherever bitcoin is accepted.
Maybe this has already been thought about and I just haven't seen it yet.

If you are willing to replace Google wallet with some alternative and loose Google maps as well, then OK.
