It’s very cool! 😊 This is from seeds from one of their agaves that bloomed a year or so ago in their outdoor cactus garden. I remember seeing it — the bloom stalk was so tall, like 3-4 meters.

While I like the idea of a nationwide strike, I think it would be tough to organize and pull off because there isn’t just one union representing every teacher in the country. There are a lot of state and local unions at play. My local union secured nuts-and-bolts things like 8-hour work days, annual cost-of-living peanut raises (😉), health and dental insurance, limits on class sizes and the number of classes we taught, duty-free lunches, and more. I never felt connected to a national teachers’ union, though, and am not really sure what they actually do.

Posts with hashtags get more traction than ones without, but a little goes a long way. I try to use them, but sparingly. One or two well-chosen seasonings makes a dish better, but throwing the whole spice rack into your meal is not so tasty.
I like to use the Colorado tag with flowers and landscapes so that people know where the post is coming from.
