@nprofile…al9m well I don't know really. I'm not a pianist, a guitarist that dabbles (definitely not doubles!) on keys.
I had a quick scout on the web and there seems to be a fair bit of solid advice from music teaching resources, some with photos and drawings too, on getting a good posture for playing piano. Definitely worth looking into I would say.

@npub16l6…4zxy just wondering if there's an option for OM to use 'miles and yards' rather than 'miles and feet'? Trying to visualise distances in hundreds/thousands of feet is unusual/difficult.
Overall the app is quite brilliant. The miles and feet thing isn't a major issue, just an oddity when driving, maybe not if walking, but my own main usage is driving.

But I like the A Lydian mood/mode and the later harp lines (as the whole kit picks up) so will keep them for now. You have to know when to bale out of a 'clever idea'! 😁

My home timeline seems chock full of plastic bottle top drama!! I spent a very few minutes looking into things.
Coca Cola designed the current implementation most companies are using.
I don't often drink from plastic water bottles myself but the times I have encountered a 'cap retained' design it flipped over easily and stayed flipped whilst I supped. Quite handy for not losing the cap too.
Think I'll save my angst for.... something else 👍😊🍻

Imagine if you will, an alternate universe that is... Really Nice! Turns out ours is the dark dystopian one (take note #startrek and other #scifi #screenwriters )
I'd walk into a beautiful café bar and find them playing Sphere Of Innocence over the sound system at just the right volume and heh, the espresso is perfect, and free! As is everything else in the café because these things are essential services for a happy and fulfilled population... You may say that I'm a dreamer... 😊

Was it just me or was the owner of the least convincing Cornish accent in the more recent TV dramatisation of #poldark one of the few actors that actually originated in Cornwall? Namely one John Nettles, who would also slip in and out of accent, often in the same sentence 😁
I remember there was much 'amusement' (or not!) amongst the good natives regarding the array of 'cod' accents amongst the cast! #cornwall

Fellow #fedimusicians what's your take on this... I have more VSTi synth plugins amassed over the years than you can shake that proverbial stick at.
Current music creation is a solid synth thing (sequences galore!) and it's great fun. Now then, as I look for new sounds, I stumble through presets and occasionally find one that I think is just right.
The thing is there's a voice telling me to fiddle with it, make it my own, but... it's got a hint of guilt trip... I could just go with it as is!?

Listening to Alessandro Scarlatti's little gems of #cello #sonatas I am once again minded of Picasso's comment after visiting the cave paintings at Altamira, "... we have invented nothing."
I do love many forms of later and contemporary music but... can't help just be in 'wonder' at the timeless beauty of the #baroque masterpieces.
Maybe Picasso's comment is apocryphal but it rings true with me... and yet I am a big fan of the 'weird' chord/melody/rhythm etc!

Whilst it seems pretty much everyone is pleased to see the back of the ruling Conservatives, there are widely varying degrees of opinion/liking for the current Labour party.
However from my feed scrolling so far I haven't seen a single keyboard warrior spat and am very impressed that so many people really do go with the ethos that just because you disagree with an opinion doesn't mean you have to wade in boots-a-kickin'.
