This final part of degoogling, ending my ancient Gmail account is in its end times now. Quite a decluttering exercise as a most beneficial side effect too. Been hitting the unsubscribe button as much of the time as updating my email address on account profiles to my new disroot one.
Pretty soon I will do one final massive 'takeout' download and then delete all Google account data.
Leave the Gmail account open and set to forward any incoming mail. Thinking after six months like that... DELETE!
